My girlfriend has a 2012 Jeep that had a code we could not kick ourselves. We'd gone to several other jeep specialty shops just to be told that they could not even look at the car until September. After finding this mechanic and reading the reviews, I called him on a Monday morning and he was able to get the car in for a diagnostic that day. I (a 19 year old female) took the car into the shop by myself while my girlfriend was at work. As a woman, it's quite common to have mechanics look and speak to you like you have no clue what you're talking about, and most times try to oversell and/or mislead you in the wrong direction. That was not the case with this shop. I went in and spoke extensively with zach -explaining all the parts that had been replaced, how the issue arose, what steps we had already taken, and I tried my best to relay all the information I knew and was given by my girlfriend (who worked on the jeep herself). Jack spoke to me like an actual human being-not a "dumb girl"-and answered all the questions and comments I had. He also maintained eye contact with me throughout our entire conversation, only typing on the computer when I'd finished speaking. What a green flag!! When discussing what we thought was the next step, he gave me an estimate of what he thought the cost would be. He then said "I'm sure if your girlfriend can do XYZ to her jeep, she can do some of the things we might suggest. I will quote you our pricing but just know that it might be cheaper to do it herself if she has the time"-another GREEN FLAG!! They wound up calling us 4 hours later with a quote-the exact quote he'd given me the day before. They wound up replacing the part and the code cleared. However, Zach called us that night and said that while test driving, another code popped up. It only popped once and he could not get it to come again, but he said "I'd like to keep the car another night and test drive it in the morning because I would hate for you to drive off the lot and get a different code." Again-such a trustworthy mechanic is SO SO hard to find. He easily could've handed her the keys after the first code cleared and sent her along. Sure enough, the new code came up again that morning. He called and said he had the part that needed to be replaced, and it was finished that day for almost half the price of what every other jeep mechanic had quoted her. I would recommend this mechanic to anyone, especially jeep owners. They are kind, professional, quick, and will not try to scam you. Real mechanic. Great human. I took Zack 2 cars that had been diagnosed by others. He quoted based on their diagnoses. I took him the vehicles ready to give him the money. Once he had them, he determined 1 vehicle needed something completely different. He could have taken my money as I was ready to pay but instead did only what was necessary and saved me over $7,000. The AC on my Honda wasn't cooling enough and so I watched some youtube videos and thought I could just add some freon. After adding some freon, my AC stopped working completely. I took it to Firestone to have it checked out because they were running a $20 special. The good news... no leaks. The bad news... it would cost $529.31 to fix due to needing to replace the "evaporator expansion valve". I didn't have time to get it done right away and it turned out to be a good thing. I was complaining about having to pay $500 to get my AC fixed to a friend and he suggested going to see his car guy Zack. I called him up on my day off and even though he was busy, he said he'd work me in. His shop was a little hard to find, but well worth it. I didn't say anything about the $500+ estimate from Firestone, I just let him check it out. He hooked it up to his machine and told me he was going to vacuum it out and add the correct pressure of freon. 30 minutes later he was testing the inside temp of the car with AC on full blast... 50 degrees. My total came to $170.15. I then showed him my estimate for Firestone. He got a kick out of Firestone charging $50 to change the air cabin filter. He charged me $10.15 and showed me how to do it next time. Its something that takes 30 seconds, but Firestone was charging $20 for labor. As someone who doesn't really know much about cars, I'm always worried about getting ripped off for car repairs. Looks like I found an honest mechanic who will be my go to car guy. read more

Zack johnson automotive deliberately sold my family a car that had issues. it overheats if you leave it on longer than 20 minutes and if your driving it won't overheat at all, a mechanic told me the previous owner had to have known it was a cooling system problem because it had new hose and clamps and that an attempt was made to fix the problem. but instead of fixing the headgasket he sells it on facebook to me. zack johnson himself is ignoring my calls and has deleted me on facebook. when I asked him about this he told me to give him "a break" and then deleted me on Facebook and won't answer his phone calls. I finally saved enough money to register this car and now I'm gonna have to sell the car as is. thanks alot zack, oh yea and real mature blocking me on facebook. lame anyways don't say you haven't been warned read more

Well, well well. Mr. Johnson. First of all, I was preparing to drive 3,000 miles and asked the head mechanic if he could take a look, make sure she'd make it. He did, thoroughly, then told me I'd need brakes but not yet, "give 'em about 6 months and we'll see." Time passed and when it came to replace the brakes - among other things - I wouldn't take it anywhere else. Dropped it off and three days later, the jobs were done and the car runs great.
