I was greeted by Brendan upon arrival and checked-in with Bryan at the front desk. The process was quick and easy, it took less than 2 minutes and I was seated in the waiting area. I was immediately impressed with the friendly and professional staff. The waiting room was spotless with plenty of auto magazines to keep me occupied during my wait. I met Zach and Mike, the automotive technicians and had an opportunity to ask questions and get their expert advice on my SUV service. Mike noted that one of my front wiper blades was worn out and the set needed to be replaced. Great catch just in time for the winder weather! Mike even took a picure of the worn wiper blade for my service paperwork, above and beyond what the 'big' dealerships do. Brendan (owner) and the entire Avery team was great, the technicians answered all of questions and the billing charge was very reasonable. Avery Automotive provides 'old fashioned quality service, with honesty and integrity. I will be a customer for life and give them my HIGHEST recommendation anyone's automotive service needs.

I will NEVER patronize this business again and would NEVER recommend anyone else do so…read more To summarize, brought vehicle in for power issues, discussed it might be alternator, drove in to repair on last bit of power in battery. Replaced alternator for over $500, issue seemed to resolve 4 months later the problem came back. Friday us their "catchup" day so left a message. Never got a call back. Called on a Monday. No call back. Called on Thursday from different phone. Finally got an answer. Without ANY discussion she told me over the phone they did what I asked and replaced the alternator without diagnosing. If I wanted diagnosed it would be approx $50. They had to test in order to send alternator back under warranty though.... even if it was thr alternator I would have to pay $300 for the labor. She asked if I wanted to bring in or not? Told her I trusted them to do the job correctly and wasn't sure if I wanted to continuing doing business with them. She said that's fine, that's what they preferred and hun up on me.

Anyways, my vehicle got into a minor vehicle accident that damaged my driver side door and fender. Got a quote within 10 minutes and estimated completion date. Vehicle was dropped off on Monday and ready for pick up the same week on Wednesday. We did a joint inspection of the work and you couldn't even tell that it was ever in an accident. However, it's true, he's an outlaw in the automotive world simply because he's not like any other shop or mechanic whose goal it is to overcharge and under service. Kevin can't stand the way automotive shops double or triple the price of parts and charge outrageous amounts for work to be done. While I was quoted anywhere from $1500-$900 by multiple other shops, Kevin helped me my own brand new parts for half the cost, he came to my home and made the repairs in less than three hours for a fair and sensible hourly rate. He sincerely wants to help get your repairs done at a reasonable cost. I'm very pleased that I chose Kevin for my automotive repairs, knowing that he saved me both time and money, and knowing that my costs went directly to an honest and hard-working person. My wife has been going to Bear Tire in Wichita for routine oil changes, but after our most recent…read moreexperience, we won't be returning--and I strongly urge others to be cautious. She took in her 2023 Subaru, and they told her the engine was "about to blow." That warning caused a lot of concern--and rightly so. When she got home, I checked the oil myself and found it was severely overfilled. Their receipt showed they added 6 quarts, even though the car only requires 4.4 quarts. When I brought this to their attention, they claimed they'd been putting in 6 quarts because they thought it was a turbo. First, it's not. Second, even the turbo version only takes 5.5 quarts, so their explanation made no sense. They also told me that overfilling the engine "won't cause any damage," yet immediately recommended draining it--before I even told them they were the ones who overfilled it. To make matters worse: 1) They never offered to reimburse us for the original oil change. 2) They didn't cover the bill from the shop we had to take it to in order to have the oil drained properly. 3) They didn't even offer to pay for the excess oil they incorrectly added (nearly $10 per quart) for this oil change or the previous ones when it was overfilled. 4) And they admitted they don't retain service records, which is incredibly irresponsible, especially for newer vehicles still under warranty. This wasn't just a simple mistake--it was a series of poor decisions, excuses, and a complete lack of accountability for a situation that could cause engine damage and void the manufacturer's warranty on a relatively new car. I expected more from a professional shop, especially one we've trusted for years. We won't be going back.
