AAA was useless, as there were so many accidents and cars & semi-trucks were off the road on both sides of the interstate. Luckily the TN Highway patrol changed out tire to the mickey-mouse spare, and we made it back to Discount Tire. They had the exact tire in inventory and got us on our way within a half hour. We were originally holding off on posting this review to try and maintain a level of…read moreprofessionalism with Mr Gibson and his crew and even give them a 2nd chance after a horrible encounter but its clear we need to look for service business elsewhere. Back in November, 2025 we brought our car in for a cata converter replacement, we had the converter ordered in advance and during the times we had the quote generated which was $1,500+ we were given verbal promises that the car would be done same day. First day? It was not completed the same day as promised. They then said they would have the car fixed by lunch time at the latest TOMORROW, tomorrow lunch comes around? Still not done. 3rd day we got law enforcement involved to get a proper update/record as we did not have a spare vehicle to get back and forth to work and were getting fed up with the excuses, this is when Mr Gibson himself showed his ugly side and began his verbal assault towards us mocking us in front of his entire team and had embarrassingly brought us to the wrong vehicle in the bay that wasn't even ours while screaming at us. It took 3 full days and a little extra time as they stayed after close to get the vehicle done before we could finally leave their shop. They had 1 single mechanic working on the vehicle for the first 2 days and only on the 3rd day realized they needed to put more hands on the job. We were suppose to have another service order for an oil housing unit repair on our vehicle but we will not be coming back as its clear Mr Gibson and his crew are just not the right fit for us after speaking to them again today. Overall horrible experience, rude, snotty attitude from the front office ladies, and even ruder unruly behavior from the guys behind the ladies.

Five stars isn't enough for this business! I limped into Big Stone Gap a few weeks ago to attend a…read morefuneral reception in the afternoon for an old friend. My rotors were scraping and making loud crunching noises as I nursed my vehicle into the Comfort Inn late Friday evening. I thought that the chances of getting my car fixed in a small town on Saturday morning were slim. Boy was I wrong! The nice counter person at the Comfort Inn (great room by the way) recommended Double D Tire and Towing. I called them at 8 am Saturday morning and they said "bring it right in". One of their servicemen, James, diagnosed the problem right away and I asked him if they'd be able to repair it that morning. He said it shouldn't take long. I stepped out of the garage to call my girlfriend and by the time I got off the phone, less than half an hour, they had me off the rack and ready to roll. I went in to pay the bill expecting the worst. I've been in situations before where I was from out of town with car problems and they know they've got you over the barrel as far as price. Well not here. The cost for fixing my car was incredibly reasonable and probably less expensive than if I'd fixed it at home with someone I know. I drove away from Big Stone Gap with a warm feeling about the town and its hospitality and a deep sense of gratitude for a repair service that took care of me in a big way! had to come in 2 different days to get a oil change, because computer problems. which i understood…read more then they told me I had no ford pass points, which I had over 43,000 on my app. then they took other cars before me that had arrived a good 10 mins. after me. and told me I had to wait atleast 2 hours for my car to get finished, while the cars that came after me were there 1 hour. all the guy would say was he was at the door. yes he was. he saw us n the car so u went to the door to wait. I have 2 kids 1 with severe autism. I cannot wait right where the road is for them to open. then after 1hour and 41 mins. of me being there, they finally started on my car.

I been coming here for years and they basically ruined me ever coming back here. I have spent money on 2 trailers, 2 trucks, RV. I absolutely will never be shopping here again. After speaking with the manager finally made things right/better. It really shouldn't have taken that though. When road force is high on an initial tire it should have been sent back.
