Well, I have never been astounded by something at a doctor enough to write a review, so here goes:…read more I have had a "severe, long-standing" infection in my mouth that took two rounds of antibiotics and an extra antibiotic shot halfway through to even get to 98% gone. It was taking up my entire person-hood! The day I'm done with the second round, I have an appointment here (had to reschedule once or twice-- I'm broke.) After getting quoted exorbitant prices in different places, this office quoted the least in town for a simple extraction, and... I've had an extraction before, but Dr. Hutchins had that thing out of my mouth in less than 5 minutes. It took longer for setup than the actual extraction! My last one took 45 minutes of work for a similar procedure. I even asked "...Was that it?" after Hutchins' work. The staff here are also very kind and describe anything you need explained, and also made sure the local anesthetic was doing its job before getting anything too crazy near my mouth. (I've heard horror stories from friends going to other dentists. I am very pleased to say that was not the case with Dr. Hutchins!) If I can keep coming back here, I won't be nearly as scared of the dentist.

The office was super to schedule this quickly, and in more than one appointment, so I didnt drool on my co workers from being too numb. Dr Hutchins has always given me his honest opinion on treatment, and not what costs most. I totally trust his judgement, and he appreciates his patients, and tells us we can call weekends if an emergency arises. His office is beautiful, and his staff is great. Since the pandemic ended, doctor's offices have learned to economize so booking your appointment is pretty much written in stone. Any changes and the customer will suffer delays. That's why I changed my dentist to Fredericksburg Dentistry. They are very accommodating and still old school when it comes to dentistry, cleaning teeth or periodontal maintenance. The place is very clean, all their front office people are friendly and of course, the hygienist and dentists in the back office are busy treating their patients. I have had the same hygienist for all my previous visits, and we are becoming more acquainted with each other. She has the softest touch! It's quite a drive for me to get there from my hill country home but it's worth it. What normally would have been a 25-minute trip became 45 minutes because of road construction and maintenance. No matter, just being able to drive to Fredericksburg is a joy by itself!
