Perhaps because of this easy move they assigned me their "C" team, who showed up ready to complain that there were 3 flights of stairs and no elevator at my apartment complex. One showed up assumingly hungover or sick and made it a point to use both old bathroom and new bathroom to relieve himself of that. The move took all day with 4-5 people whereas when I did a similar move the year ago, IVL took half the time for the same packing & moving with 2 people, without bitching and moaning the whole time. They managed to drop my new desk down a flight of stairs, completely ruined that. Took forever to replace. Scratched all my walls up in the process. Corners on 3 of my tables are scratched, dented and damaged. They managed to actually lose a few smaller items, which is really impressive since they are the ones who packed them. They didnt want to take a part a couch to take upstairs, so out of frustration and exhaustion, they just hauled off a brand new $800 couch. After all of this, they had the audacity to complain some more about my tip on their way out of my apartment building. Unsurprisingly, I have had no response from the insurance claim I submitted to their office months ago, with no comment on the awful experience I had. I thought nearly $2000 for a same city, 1 bedroom pack and move was a lot, but I paid for what I thought would be a low stress, convenient and efficient move. What I got was the most unprofessional, sloppy move I've ever experienced. I should have just paid someone to help me move it myself at this rate. Find a different moving company that values its customers and their belongings.

I got a couple of nasty phone calls that I needed to pay my bill, of course, when I tried calling them back, no one answered. There are still better storage spaces in Oxnard that are safer and friendlier, and care about their customers. Go there first. As to Phil (facility manager's assertions in his rebuttal): Phil - there was little attempt to rectify the situation. I was the one that asked for the discounted space...which I would not have needed had the site been more secured. It's a pain having to load and unload an RV with all valuables when we traveled (and we did quite often). You're much more apologetic now in your rebuttal because it's a public forum - which is completely contrary to how you were when I came to you and mentioned that we had been repeatedly broken into. Unfortunately, until your facility can protect all the tenants from the constant, ongoing intrusions and theft going on at your facility, your facility will still be sub-standard on a street where numerous other (and safer) facilities are located.

To me this review is a 5 star. But had to take a star off because you get what you pay for! Storage unit itself is great, but the building needs a remodel. Walls, lighting, floors just needs a whole deep clean and paint job. Hopefully the owner can consider refurbishing this storage unit.

After requesting a 10' X 10', and after moving from a 5' X 10' into that larger unit, I was told repeatedly that the unit was TEN BY TEN FEET. We realized over time that my unit WAS NOWHERE NEAR TEN FOOT DEEP, NOR TEN FEET WIDE. I have numerous longboard surfboards, all ranging from 9'2" to 9'6" AND THEY SIMPLY DO NOT COME CLOSE TO FITTING, EITHER DIRECTLY IN OR SIDEWAYS. (A lot of extra work to store!) My unit is/was LESS THAN 8.5 FEET DEEP AND LESS THAN 9 FEET WIDE!! They have been stealing money from us for years and if you have a unit there they are probably stealing from you too! When asked about the gross shortcomings and lies, the staff are trained to say, "It is approximately ten by ten.) IT IS NOT AN "APPROXIMATION" OF 10 X 10 FEET - IT IS BOLD-FACED THIEVERY ALONG WITH NUMEROUS LIES We have made contact with the DA's office and will implore them to force an outside or independent review and measurement of ALL UNITS, in order to determine just how many thousands of dollars have been stolen and from how many hundreds of people, month after month, year after year? We are also contacting Consumer Affairs and Consumer protection reporters at Los Angeles news stations and others. And with all the reviews we will be posting, in addition to legal action, It shouldn't be too difficult to expose them and at least curtail their sad, dishonorable conduct. When I have asked them for a smaller unit, they lie and claim they don't have any. Their staff are trained to lie and they all know of the misrepresentation and thievery. Several staff were asked if they had received huge pay increases to go along with their employers raising our rates significantly twice during a global pandemic when many suffered? They all said they had not. , On March 10, I received a call that they were going to lock us out of our unit later that day as I was late with my payment. (We had experienced fraud on several debit and checking accounts over the past year and I had misread their notice to read the 15th.) I needed documents in the unit for use over the weekend. I was in Los Angeles and it was pouring rain. They would not allow me a day or any flexibility whatsoever. So I was forced to scramble back to Oxnard and was subsequently PREVENTED FROM GETTING AT MOST OF MY PROPERTY FOR THAT ENTIRE AFTERNOON, AS IT WAS BLOCKED BY A LARGE CREW. And yet they still charged me additional payments and locked me out. The employee attempted to prevent me from taking photos to gain proof. After NOT BEING ABLE TO ACCESS MY OWN PROPERTY, I called and asked to speak to the owner. A woman lied to me several times, then claimed he had just left. She then named him as a "Mark Harmon" or "Herman" and when I asked her name she finally admitted and said that she was in fact the owner - Che Herman - pathetic!. (They mistreat so many people they attempt to hide their identity.) They ultimately charged me $220 and also cheated me out of the final day of the month. Inside the elevator someone had left a note expressing their distaste with management as well. At least I was able to have a good laugh, after all the lies and thievery. These people display a true sickness of greed, willing to cheat whomever they can in any way they can. At the very least, measure the damn unit!
