Downtown Blossoms had a really nice website and Pam Summers was super helpful. She answered all my questions about the arrangements and made sure that all my expectations were exceeded. She even texted me a picture before delivering the flowers to my grandma. My grandma said they were the most beautiful flowers she has ever seen! I also like that they are affordable. The first photo inspiration I showed the lady, she said what I wanted wasn't possible. I questioned her about it because I personally knew how to do it & other florists I'd spoken with had no issues, but she obviously didn't want to hear any of it. Moved on to discuss the bouquet & she stopped me & said "You can request whatever you want but what flowers my vendors send me is out of my control. I can't guarantee you'll get anything you want." Basically trying to say I can pay her to do my wedding flowers but it'll be a mystery & what I get is what I get so be happy. I was SHOCKED considering all the flowers I was asking for would be in-season at that time of year... At that point I ended the meeting, saying I appreciate her time but this obviously isn't going to be a good fit. As I'm walking out she tells me it doesn't matter which florist I end up choosing because she knows them all & who their vendors are & everyone is going to tell me the same thing she did, "just so you know". I've used many florists over the years for various events & I've NEVER been treated this way. If she didn't want to do the event, for whatever reason, she should have been honest & said so & not wasted my time. I ended up going with a florist out of Hickory who is more than excited to hear my ideas & help make my dream wedding a reality.

I will admit, in the past I would buy flowers using online suppliers. Despite the promo codes, most of these online providers are no more cheaper than ordering local, once they add on all of their fees. I have also used grocery stores for flowers due to the attractive prices but I have found they don't last as long. Davie Florist is a locally owned place. The building isn't much to look at but their flower quality is really good. Prices are fair, though higher than a grocery store. What you get is personalized service and a much better product. Cards and cash accepted. Highly recommend.

Based on our brief phone call, he was able to customize the arrangement in a way that perfectly captured the spirit of the event and our loved one, and coordinated with the other arrangements beautifully.
