I literally just came from the store and I was very disappointed with the service. The woman that answered the door that came off timid, condescending and unfriendly and unsympathetic that my father-in-law who just passed had jewelry I wanted them to touch up because of the sentimental value to me... but it wasn't really jewelry in their eyes. The thing that made me most upset was how she ended the conversation... We agreed there was nothing they could do to help and I turn to walk out the door. I turned and said well I guess you have to get the door... And she said "yeah because you're locked in" in a tone that made me feel like she was really saying, yeah you look like you might rob this place and in case you were thinking about it this is our security... Want to give negative 10 stars!! Took my Invicta watch for a simple battery replacement. Had the back off the watch to make it easy for the replacement. Received call a few days later my watch band was broken even though I had not left it that way. When I went to pick up my watch the watch band had been broken off on both sides, one side of the watch band was cut into two pieces, and one of the small dial hands were broken off in the watch. The store offered to replace the band but I do not have confidence they could replace it without causing more damage, and now that the watch is completely broken so why would I have them do anything. I have had my watches including this watch serviced at other locations for three decades and never had anything like this happen before. It is understood mistakes happen but placing the blame on the customer is not acceptable at any level. read more

I will never be going to another jeweler again! Johnson Jewelers was incredibly professional, helpful and kind. I am currently 6 months pregnant and have been trying to get my wedding ring off for a very long time. I was kicking myself for not taking my ring off when I found out I was pregnant and was pretty sad because almost everywhere I went they had said my ring would be destroyed. Kay jewelers wouldn't even attempt to cut it off, which was frustrating. Johnson Jewelers could see how much I loved this ring and were incredibly careful during the ring removal. The jeweler did a fantastic job and none of the diamonds on the band were destroyed! They said they will even resize and repair the ring when I'm ready. I took my ring in to be resized (half a size bigger). On the phone and in person they quoted around $60. I asked after doing the paperwork if they had an updated quote and the woman said it would be more because it's platinum and not gold but couldn't give an accurate price. My ring was ready by the time they promised (two-ish weeks), was done well and cleaned. The bill was $120 plus tax. So, double what was quoted and I feel slightly bait and switched. I like supporting local/small family businesses, so I understand a higher price tag, but there should be a more accurate pricing system to avoid confusion and frustration. I am happy with the service; I believe my ring looks better now than it did two weeks ago. And I can wear it again, so that's the most important part. read more

My husband and I walked in with no knowledge of diamonds and a smaller budget. Amy educated us in great detail, was patient, explained everything and answered every question we asked. She was flexible and made my engagement ring available for our engagement photos on a very quick turnaround. It was wonderful to work with a family owned business where you can tell they value their craft, quality of work and service and definitely put their customer first. She helped us pick a beautiful oval diamond center stone, created a custom wedding band to fit my engagement ring, and helped my husband find his wedding band. Amy was so incredibly helpful in helping redeem my wife's wedding set! If you look at my other reviews you'll see that I had purchased a ring from a hoity-toity jeweler in San Fransisco. Well long story short, that ring fell apart and Amy and the Johnson Jeweler time repaired it once and ended up rebuilding the entire ring due to poor construction. I honestly don't know how this place stays in business. I have visited on two occasions and have both times been taken aback by the rudeness of the staff (or I should be more specific in stating the large older lady with blue eye shadow). I have always been a strong believer in patronizing local merchants vs. large chains and so went to Johnson to check out their selection of engagement rings (extremely limited). The above-noted salesperson was condescending, minimizing of my knowledge of diamonds and gold, and was rather transparent in her attempts to upsell. When I did find a setting I was somewhat fond of, she told me (with frank distain) that she couldn't possibly give me a price because the cost of gold changes daily and that I could call or email if I still wanted information the next day. The implication clearly seemed to be that I was not a serious buyer. I did ultimately purchase from a local merchant, Kantor Diamond Company, and I could not have been happier with the experience. You missed out on a $16K (cash) sale, blue eyeshadow lady. I was not some silly teenager looking for a promise ring. My second experience was just the other day when I visited with a friend who had a sizeable store credit. Same salesperson, same bullying, same attempt at upselling. Horrible merchandise at obscene prices.....a very small pair of amethyst earrings in what was purported to be 14k gold whose posts were so flimsy that they bent when my friend attempted to try them on....for nearly $300? A small set a aquamarines for nearly $800? Save your time and money. There are many other excellent local merchants with superior merchandise quality, selection, service and price. read more

I took notice of the niessing rings, and long story short, bought me a new wedding band, with my wife's approval. The staff were very helpful and extremely knowledgeable.
