The layaway policy, with no fees and a low down payment/monthly payment is the best I have ever found ANYWHERE! If they do not have something you want, they will try to get it in for you, if it is available. Oh, and you can get your fishing/hunting licenses there too. Sure, if it is busy or they are running multiple NYS background checks there could be a slight wait, but there is plenty to look at until it's your turn. Prices are competitive and they do run sales/host Manufacturer and Customer appreciation events several times a year. The owner, Mike is very often there and always willing to assist. One of my favorite places to stop in, which is dangerous because of the layaway.

After viewing the stock of ammo and firearms you decide to pick up a box of ammo. After placing it on the counter something changes your mind. The cold underwhelming customer service strikes you. No help was offered at anytime. Not to assist with finding anything or an offer to show us anything in the case. I quietly decide not to spend a dime in the store. After informing the miserable individual at the cash register that I've changed my mind. He states with agitation and questioning rudeness, "you've changed your mind??" To which I state "yes." As I turn to exit the store, another employee, obviously not happy with his station in life. Parrots the first employees dialog with equal annoyance; "you've changed your mind?" We walk out and get inside the car when my adult son states he heard one fella say to the other "they're not going to buy anything." Now I hadn't heard that myself, but my change of intent to spend in that store was the right choice. To be fair I've been in this store 3 times and only once was the interaction pleasant. Customer service is horrible and prices are neither good or bad, just average.
