They are honestly the worst ever! I had a horrible experience with them last Mother's Day. I went through 1-800-flowers and the order was diverted to their shop. What they sent was horrendous and not filled to value. Their customer service is rude, to say the least. They will not even attempt to rectify the issue. I have actually gone out of my way to contact Teleflora and request that my order will not be sent to Johnson's Flowers & Gifts. Any other shop is acceptable. They really are THAT BAD! I have no idea why they are still in business. They rely on wire orders to keep afloat because I am sure locals know their negative reputation! read more

A friend ordered flowers through 1800FLOWERS while on active duty to be delivered for my daughter's birthday. Apparently special occasions are of no importance to this Florist as it's a week later and the flowers have still not been delivered. Although attempts were made to reach him by phone, unfortunately the military doesn't always have access to their phones. NO attempt to actually deliver the flowers was made. NO apology from the florist to my daughter. Horrible customer service. DO NOT RECOMMEND if you need anything delivered in a timely manner. read more

I am so disappointed by Johnson's Flowers and Gifts. I called to get a bouquet delivered to my friend for her birthday. It is currently during the pandemic, and I wanted to do something nice for my friend. I figured I would call a florist near her, and could give business to a small mom-and-pop shop, rather than a chain. I ordered, what looked like a beautiful bouquet with a mylar happy birthday balloon. The "bouquet" arrived on time, but looked like a couple of sprouts pulled out of the ground, in a small vase with a balloon. It looked NOTHING like what was pictured. I was honestly embarrassed by what showed up. I don't normally complain, but I felt I needed to at least give them a call - maybe there was a mistake. I spoke with Mary who told me they were inundated with Mother's Day orders, that she would have to call me back later. Ok, next day rolls around, no call, so I call back. Again, Mary tells me she will have to call me back because of the large abundance of orders for Mothers Day. A week goes by, still no call. I called again, because now I'm not only upset by the sad flower delivery, but angry at how poor the customer service was. I speak with Mary yet again, who puts me on hold for 10 minutes to "try to find my order". (I'm not hanging up) She gets back from hold and I explain the issue (again). I explain that i spent almost $60 and received a bouquet that looked nothing like what was pictured. She tells me there is nothing she can do, and rudely said that "she did what she could with the amount I paid which was not sixty dollars" .. (my receipt came to $55.28 - excuse me for rounding). She was extremely nasty, telling me I got the value they could provide. In addition she then tells me that I am inconsiderate because of the current circumstances, guilting me. Yet, the last 2 times i called they said they had so many orders and didn't even have the decency to call me back. I was trying to support local small business by ordering from there, especially because of the current circumstances. I am livid with how poorly this was handled. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I spent over 70.00 for what I thought was going to be a beautiful lavender bouquet for my colleague's retirement. What was delivered was a horrible disappointment and looked nothing like the picture. It looked like left over flowers from other arrangements were just shoved into a vase. I called the store and was told by the woman who answered that I would have to go through the 3rd party with whom I placed the order. My son ordered Mother's Day flowers, and Johnson's was apparently the default. Based on the flowers I received and the other reviews on this page, it seems as though the network should drop them. Not sure how that works, though. First off, he ordered two bouquets - one for me and one for my mom who was staying with us. They were supposed to be different, but they sent two of the same thing, and the cards which came with the flowers both had my name of the envelope and greetings to my mom inside. No big deal. But when I called to thank him, he was surprised to hear that both were the same, as he had put a lot of thought into selecting arrangements that would appeal to us individually. He also ordered the "large" size bouquets, and these consisted of two roses, three carnations, and a couple of lilies - one of which dropped all its leaves before even making it through the front door. Also a little filler that looked like goldenrod and a bit of greenery. Certainly not "large" by any definition. I'm not sure you could even call anything smaller a bouquet. He called them to complain, and they did redeliver another bouquet very soon afterward (taking the other back - I wonder what poor soul received it next!), with a somewhat different selection of flowers, all of which looked quite wilted already. The bouquet itself was of the same size, or possibly a even a little smaller, in a ludicrously outsize vase which made them look ridiculous. Extremely poor customer service, and poor quality flowers. I helped order sympathy flowers for my sister after the passing of her beloved cat, and not only were the flowers expensive but what arrived was nothing like what was pictured. I understand the pandemic may make things difficult to stock, but I would have preferred receiving a phone call to say they were out of a certain flower rather than a bouquet half the size with cheap looking flowers. Based on other reviews, I see this is not a unique problem. I will not be purchasing from Johnson's again, and will not recommend them to anyone looking to send flowers to their loved one. read more

Sadly, my experience was identical to the previous posts. I ordered a $50 bouquet in a vase for a friend who lost her mother. We were in a rush to get to the service and my husband ran in to collect the arrangement. NO delivery cost. When he came back to the car, we both were flabbergasted by the size and quality of the arrangement. I called from the car, wondering if I was given a $15 dollar arrangement. I was told I was given "full value". I pushed back saying we've used several florists and this was an extremely disappointing representation of a $50 arrangement. It looked like a $7.99 bouquet from the grocery. I couldn't give it to my friend. It was too embarrassing. DON'T use Johnson Flowers . I feel like I was robbed. I have to give 1 star because I can't select ZERO!! Unfortunately this is the second time through this florist that they have sent horrible arrangements to my mother on Mother's Day. I ordered through 2 different online ( From You Flowers and Teleflora) in separate years. Both times I ordered a "Premium" arrangement and they sent a "Standard" arrangement , more like very substandard. I handled the situation with each company. How embarrassing it is to send flowers thinking my Mother will receive a beautiful arrangement only to have her receive something that looked like a 5 year old child put together. I can get better flowers from a gas station. From reading many reviews after the fact, it seems that Johnson:s Florist does not seem to care about there pride of workmanship, quality of arrangements and obviously inexperienced florists. read more

Very unhappy, had flowers delivered on Friday 7/5/19 called because the pedals were falling off the roses and one lily was dead . Called and they delivered new flowers took the others back , roses haven't open , and other flowers were already turning brown . Very disappointed!! My boyfriend ordered me flowers for our anniversary through 1-800 Flowers and this was the florist that was chosen. My boyfriend had these scheduled to get to me the day before our anniversary (Wednesday) and they were never delivered. He asked if I had gotten a missed phone call that day, and I did but I never answer calls if I don't know the number, and if its important they will leave a voicemail. I did not receive a voicemail that day. My boyfriend called 1-800 Flowers that evening and they told them they did not deliver my flowers because I didn't answer my phone and my voicemail box was full... it was not full. They assured my boyfriend the flowers would get there the next day (Thursday, our anniversary) and they apologize for the miscommunication. I never get a call on Thursday and the flowers never show up. My boyfriend again calls 1-800 Flowers obviously aggravated and they explained that the florist, Johnson's Flowers, dropped the ball and did not deliver them today- they will be there tomorrow (Friday). 1-800 Flowers gave my boyfriend only a partial refund even though he paid for expedited shipping on these flowers (for Wednesday) and 1-800 Flowers called me apologizing on this florists behalf. Friday morning, I get a phone call from Johnson's Flowers saying I have a delivery to my home address. I explain to them that I am working all day and the flowers can just be delivered and stay outside until someone is home. They explain to me that they prefer not to do that and ask when I get home, I tell them after 5pm. They said they will call me back to see if they can deliver these flowers to my work instead (which would have been great and made up for this situation). Shortly after, they call me back saying they cannot bring them to my work and asked again when I will be home. I again said 5pm, and they said they stop delivering at 4pm. They asked if they could just bring them tomorrow (Saturday!) and I said absolutely not. These were supposed to get to me Wednesday and in their error want to get them to me 3 days later. I told them to leave the flowers outside, and of course today it is raining. The woman at Johnson's on the phone was not once apologetic and made a gesture that was supposed to be all about happiness turn into a miserable situation in their error. They lacked expected customer service to fix what they ruined, and they did not. After reading other reviews about the low quality of these flowers, I am expecting to come home to ruined flowers (being in the rain all day) and something unimpressive. Don't use this florist. And if you live in the area and use 1-800 Flowers, ensure this isn't the florist that your flowers will be coming from. read more

Johnson's Flowers is across the street from Backus Hospital. After my final cancer treatment, I walked over and ordered a beautiful custom arrangement for the medical assistants. The woman who runs the place is hugely gracious and very much in tune with the needs of the patients and staff at the hospital. When I peaked in the next day, there it was! The assistant was delighted. I felt so happy to have done a good deed. read more

I can see why there rating is so low. Got a message that I was getting a delivery. Called back, told them what time I'd be home. Needed to go out, but waited instead for the delivery. No sign of anybody. Just before the time I had given them (a 4+ hour window) was up, I got another message. Turns out my message of the day before was misplaced, so I wasn't getting my delivery as promised. Now I would have to wait! Delivery when I'm not here. Should of read the reviews before I ordered online for a delivery. Got a call the next day stating its out of their area and they were sorry but no flowers are going to be delivered. 20 minutes delivery I guess is too far but they really should not allow you to order online if they can't deliver. Left me in a bind, bad business and if they only deliver to the hospital (which I assume is most of their business being right across the street) they should really state that! Don't use unless you can see their shop from your window because they won't deliver them. read more

If you want to get flowers delivered don't use this shop they will tell you that they can deliver by one time then when they are late and you call to ask about it they say they never told you that they can make that time. Then after fighting with them about it they make you come pick it up and they tell you to hurry because they are closing soon. read more

My brothers & sister in law placed an order for my birthday. With a pandemic going on they figured why not support a local business. I received a call confirming I was home. Once the delivery came I sent them a picture thanking them and they seemed a bit upset. They sent me a picture of what they had paid for vs. what was delivered to me and it was not even close to the picture. She reached out to the flower shop and they apologized and said they would redeliver on Monday. Nothing ever came. On Tuesday she called customer service and they lied and said they delivered exactly what was ordered. No refund was ever issued and no new flowers ever delivered. I would not recommend this place to anyone. You deserve better service and deserve to get what you pay for and this place does not provide it. I wish we had read the reviews before purchasing as they all see the same. Take your money else where you are worth more than this place will deliver. read more

Johnson's flowers were not as expected - small and wilted after 2 days. After communication for nearly a week with 1800Flowers who worked through them, Johnson's flowers stated they could not redeliver based on a discrepancy. This is after 3 separate days in which an order was expected. As the recipient of these flowers, I was confused, as earlier in the day Johnson's flowers called and informed me that I would be receiving flowers that day. Upon calling to confirm a delivery, Johnson's quickly tried to get me off the phone and did not seem to want to help. 1800Flowers informed me that they would redeliver from their home base, going around this local florist. I am eager to receive the flowers from 1800Flowers and will not recommend Johnson's to others. Johnson's customer service is poor and they do not value the service of their customers. I did not feel appreciated and definitely felt belittled by their employees on the phone. I will not buy from them and will recommend the purchaser to find a different local florist to go through in the future. read more

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. I ordered a fruit and gourmet gift basket through 1800Flowers to be delivered to my husband's workplace as an anniversary surprise via Johnson's, the designated local florist. I had arranged a certain time for the delivery so that his colleagues would be present. Instead, my husband got a call from Johnson's that there was something waiting for his pickup at the florist shop. The surprise was ruined and he needed to drive to another city to retrieve it, although I had paid for the delivery service. When I called to complain to 1800Flowers, the rep assured me that the only instruction to Johnson's was time of delivery. There was no authorization to call the recipient and request that the gift be picked up. This was the decision of the local florist...and a bad one. We were EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with the flowers we ordered for our father's funeral. A small, unimpressive, cheap-looking glass vase (which I found on line for $4.99) with 6 roses and 6 oriental lilies, and a few fill-in flowers for $125 is pathetic. When I called to express our disappointment, the manager's generic answer was that we got "full value". When I stated that I could buy the particular vase they provided for under $5.00, I was told how expensive the vase was. I would compare their "expensive vase" to a mason jar. At a time of sorrow, we rely on professionals to do their best. If this was their best, they are certainly well below a minimal standard. Those who sent flowers using Tela Flora to honor our father were the wise ones. Their flowers were SO much more beautifully done and impressive. I would not recommend this business. My husband ordered flowers from 1800Flowers and this company was to fill the order. After the flowers were delivered my husband saw then that evening and said they sent the wrong arrangement. He sent an email to 1800Flowers and let them know there had been a error with the order. The ower called me later the next day to inform me a new arragement was being sent out and I needed to return the 1st arranement to them. it was obvious from her tone of voice she was not happy in having to send a second arrangement. The second arangement was delivered and was still wrong and the ower told me to just return both arrangements because there was nothing she could do to make it right. The arrangements didn't even match the pictures. read more
