I stopped by to pick up a bouquet of flowers for my wife. It was just past closing time but the owner was there and said he'd help me. He asked what colors and flowers I wanted and then he went about creating a beautiful arrangement with my wife's favorite colors! As he was working, he told me about the family owned buisness that started in 1910. I was new to New London, so we chatted about all the things that are great about NL, the rich history, the wonderful diversity, the great transportation options and surging development downtown. The recipients were really happy with the quality of the arrangement and sent me a photo so that I could see it, and I was also pleased. They tried twice to deliver before calling me and the recipient. We ultimately got in touch and George delivered the flowers well after closing. He really went above and beyond with service. I called in an order for a wrist corsage for my daughters senior prom. I wanted something special for her since her junior prom was canceled and all of her other senior events as well. I had never been to this florist but found them on google. The man who helped me on the phone was extremely friendly and helpful. They truly went above and beyond. Customer service is top-notch here. You can tell this is a small business with a lot of pride. I ordered from afar to deliver a housewarming gift for friends who had just moved to the local area. The website/order options are so easy to use. I received a phone call that one of the many flowers in my arrangement wasn't looking as great that day and the shop would have new/better ones the next day - they offered to let me change my delivery date OR gave me two other options on the phone and explained why they would look good as replacements for the arrangement I chose. Many flower shops would have just swapped the flowers out, relying on the disclaimer language on their website, without me ever knowing. Such great service! read more

I had to take a moment and say just how amazing Fisher Florist is. Today is the Thursday before Mother's Day. In my usual fashion, I let the week get ahead of me and before I knew it, I only had 2 days to get something to my Mother since driving up there really isn't an option this weekend. I usually send her flowers at work so she can show off to all the other ladies who don't get any from their kids :) I have been doing this for years. I've sent them while living in Los Angeles, New Jersey, and now Pennsylvania. I have always used Fisher because they're usually on time and they make a nice arrangement. This year was no different... I went online this morning at 8:30 and picked out an arrangement that I knew my mom would love. I placed the order and without any kind of a special 'holiday' charge or 'same day delivery' charge, they said the flowers could be delivered today. Awesome. Around 9:15 I received an email from the florist himself saying that they were out of the particular flowers that I chose and he offered to put together something just as nice using different flowers. I replied and thanked him accordingly - merely for the fact that the flowers would be there in time. Just now at 10:20, my mom called to thank me for the flowers. I'm amazed - I really am. I ordered a flower bouquet for my cousins 30th and it was so beautiful! The weather was very cold so George emailed me to make sure someone would be home upon delivery. He also added some roses into the bouquet which was a great touch! To top it off, my order was delivered in about an hour after purchase! My boyfriend has sent me about 7 or 8 arrangements from Fisher Florist. He has never actually been to the shop. He calls them, describes the reason he is sending the flowers, what he'd sort of like them to look like, gives them a silly note for the card and then voila, an hour later they are at my job. Each arrangement has been more beautiful than the last. The quality and variety is unbeatable. The stems on heavy flowers like roses, gerber daisies, and sunflowers are wrapped in wire so they don't buckle or droop under their own weight. The vase is always bursting with flowers. Fisher definitely doesn't skimp on flowers. They always put a huge smile on my face as well as all my employees and our customers. Everyone who sees them always comments on how much they love the flowers and asks where they are from. Really really love my gorgeous creative bouquets.
