Never leave reviews but just awful. Placed an order for Mother's Day 4 days in advance because I know it would get busy if I placed day off. Prepaid ($250+) for a bouquet and showed a picture of what I wanted and basically got the opposite. A blind person may have arranged them. I was driving through the neighborhood and I in sporadic fashion, decided to get my mother in law some flowers just because. I parked right in front of the Commack florist store and hope for the best. I go in, the place is small but clean and organized. There's a lady at the register seemingly counting cash as it was near closing time. She did not acknowledge or welcome me. The least she could've done was make me aware that someone will be right with me. Nevertheless, another lady, came from the back and asked how can I help you? I'm huge on delivering intentional customer service. Therefore, when I'm walking through the doors of any business, with that chances of spending my hard worked earnings, I'm expecting some type of greeting. To sum it up, there's room for improvement there. On to the flowers. They have several pre-made flowers that are ready to go. I decided on custom arrangements of colorful flowers. They came out beautiful. The price point was the typical price of medium size bouquets. I'll always believe flowers are luxury product and will always be overpriced. However, for all that my mother in law has done for me and my children/family, she deserves it! 5 stars to the lady who arranged the bouquet, she did her thing. Nice selection but a total ripoff. They charged me $124 for a dozen roses. I had no choice but to buy them, but the next day I checked with another florist and they had them for $69. I ordered flowers online to be delivered the next day for a funeral service. The visiting hours started at 4pm and I received an email at 3:00 pm with a refund receipt. I called the company and they said they were not able to find a company to do the arrangement and they had left me 2 voicemails. When I confirmed the number they were calling, it was incorrect, and they advised it was in their system that way. Oddly enough, I have the receipt saved with my cell number I entered and it is correct. My flowers missed the service and I didn't even receive a call advising me they couldn't do it, so I could find someone else that could. The worse part is, they were only willing to offer to deliver the the family's house for free - still charging me for the arrangement. The woman who delivered my flowers knocked on my door like a psychopath. She banged two times in less than a minute. She should take into consideration that maybe some people have newborn babies that they have to put down before they can run down a flight of stairs to answer the door. The arrangement was so tiny and small. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING!!!!!! Not only did I spend over $80 dollars, the delivery fee to go 1 mile away was $15 dollars. Which I disregarded because it's Valentine's Day and my grams deserves the Best! My husband sent me roses for our 13th wedding anniversary, they were the most beautiful red roses! I wasn't home when they were delivered and the driver left the arrangement w/vase in a little crate on our doorstep so it wouldn't fall over and break. I called my husband to thank him & told him how sweet that he sent 13 roses. He said he wanted to but 1-800 wouldn't take an order for 13, had to be 12 or 18. I called the florist and spoke to the owner (George) he was so friendly!! I told him how beautiful the roses were & that I appreciated the way they were delivered! I also mentioned that I received 13 and while the order said 12, the floral designer read the card wishing me a happy 13th anniversary and included a 13 rose. That is great customer service! I normally buy flowers at Acer's. But I went to Commack Florist earlier this week because I was already in the shopping center and didn't want to go out of the way. My mother requested a bouquet of calla lilies or hydrangeas. When I walked in I noticed they didn't have hydrangeas but had tiny calla lilies in a few different colors. I requested 2 of each color and as the associate began to pull them out of the water, she noticed the stems were soggy and not good quality. She proceeded to take out "better" ones to make the bouquet. Despite being much smaller than expected for calla lilies, the baby's breath and greens made it a pretty bouquet. It's is now less than a week later and two of the calla lilies have wilted. We used the flower food that was given but the bouquets I buy from Costco last me much longer (usually about two weeks) than these did. I won't be going back. read more

I've tried to give Commack Florist more than one chance. we've used the florist at least 4 times. Each time, the ladies that work there or may be the owner(s), are very rushed and unpleasant. I won't review each unsatisfied purchase and just discuss the last from Saturday. The last bouquet I received from this establishment was just this weekend for my birthday. My husband brought home a dozen roses. 4 of the 12 were wilting and one rose was cut clean off the stem and detached itself from the stem. So, ok, 11 roses....while putting them into the vase (I JUST got them), 2 of the wilted roses lost most of their petals. I just received them Saturday; each day for the past 3 days, petals have fallen and can constantly be found on the table. The quality is just poor and the service is rude. read more
