Matt Colunga owner of Johnson's Fort Lauderdale is a SCAMMER and his club is an entire ripoff. He violently removed from the club because I did not tip his dancers and I ended up with bruises on my back. I had to go to the hospital the next morning! It was my second time going and I will never go back again! An entire RIPOFF! Matt is not only the owner but the DJ and so I requested( Plus tipped) for him to play a ONE song for me and my boyfriend. After it was done playing, he insulted me and my friend because we didn't tip his dancers, and called the song wack. Mind you I already tipped a couple dancers earlier that night. I told him I didn't realize I HAD tip during the song. He YELLED at me and forcibly pushed me all the way out the door of his club like garbage in front of my friends. Its been almost two days and still I have bruises on my back from him grabbing me to put me out. I am a 23 yea old college student and never experienced that! I bought drinks, tipped dancers earlier that night, and wouldn't have ever thought I'd be in this predicament. I didn't come to bother anyone. I am FURIOUS and it took everything in me not to be physical with him. I ended calling the cops because it was considered assaulted because of the bruises and tomorrow they will be reviewing footage. Best Gay Speakeasy South Florida! We have a second home in Florida and usually are here every year at Christmas and then until the first week of January. Dancers are extremely friendly and good looking and will approach you and interact. If you feel you want to do a private dance they charge $20.00 per song and you pay a small fee to enter into a back rope area with private rooms with red velvet drapes. The guys are professionaL male dancers are are working for tips. If you want good service please tip. I usually spend $1,000 per night. I take $200.00 in cash to tip the stage entertainment. I don't tip $1.00 to each dancer I tip $5.00 to $10.00 multiple times to get a certain dancers attention. They will invite me to the back room and I don't wait until the song is over I keep tipping $20.00 ahead of the end of the song to keep things going and respect the dancers time. I do not overwhelm the dancers and take too much of his time since he is there to make money form other people as well. I go in and out of the private area multiple times and all respect my dancers. There is a way to conduct business and a respect in doing business that will move you ahead of the class here. I come in and tip the doormen, bar tenders, private room attendant, door man, and DJ. This club is in an excellent location and created a safe space for the best pole dancers in Florida at an all male establishment. If you see Jayce Maverix there you are in for a treat and Yankiel is a spectacular dancer and bar tender. This club has strict rules as to who may perform and the DJs actually consider what the dancers want which enhances performances. The man in charge is fair to his staff and one time when I lost my phone there it was actually returned to me the following day! All dancers pay to be able to perform at the clubs so please remember to tip them and don't be afraid to spark conversations with them. Spoke with the former owner Matt about the bartender Travis he said he was joking about getting my car towed and said he jokes with his straight friends like that said he finds most gays don't get that humor. He said he is a bartender and a hustler and responds to good tips and a good tip is not something that usually happens when you only drink diet coke.
