Johnstons is beautiful. There is a wide range of gifts: kitchen, garden, baby, wedding, home. A few of my favorite gifts include unique and beautiful diaper bags (that have lasted through two babies!), adorable aprons and a special pieces of jewelry. Free gift wrap make this an easy spot for the perfect present. This store is located in the small Crescent City downtown. Locals have voted it the town's best gift shop several years in a row. I absolutely love Johnstons and I cannot emphasize that enough. I have been coming here for years. The owner is always as sweet as can be and she has great taste. When one enters her store she always greets the customer and even offers them coffee. I always stop here first when looking for a nice gift for a baby shower, housewarming party or wedding. If I could afford to I would probably buy her whole store out. She carries an assortment of goods ranging from Yankee candles, jewelry, adorable hand made signs, etc. As for the review that she does not work with local artists... this is untrue. She does carry locally made products and last week she featured a local artist in her store which she has done before. By far this is my favorite store in town for home décor and I love love love coming here! read more

Johnstons Gift Garden Home is the most amazing shop in Crescent City. I love everything in it and can always find great items for gifts or to update my own home. Sheri is very helpful with helping pick out items if you are unsure and need some suggestions on what you are trying to do. Just stopped in on our way out of town. We come to crescent city every few months from Fairfield. What we love about this store is how whimsical and seasonal their items are. You get a hometown feeling of the changing seasons and very welcoming customer service. Great quality items, well crafted, reasonable prices and one of a kind treasures. All items are beautiful and well crafted! The store even included a little section dedicated to "festive" pieces: fall/Halloween. Thank you to the owner, who's name I cannot remember, for helping me make my aunt's birthday special. I was very disappointed by the lack of quality I found shopping in Brookings, OR, the shops were clearly aimed at tourists. Came to Johnson's, and she literally walked around the store with me to help me find perfect gifts that matched my aunt's personality... I hardly had to tell the owner a thing about her, and she made perfect suggestions. She even helped with wrapping, bows, the whole deal. Again, THANK YOU for your kindness and warmth. I'm so glad that Johnston's Gift, Garden & Home moved from the outskirts of town to downtown to be more accessible to everyone. I'm fortunate to work right across the street but am tempted to leave my front door open so I can shout out "ooooh, what did you buy?" when everyone comes out will pretty gift bags! Johnston's is the only place I can find the Yankee Candles I love, and the shop always smells phenominal with lovely fragrance and freshly brewed coffee ready to sample.
