Crowded space filled with tawdry trinkets, that used to be elegant and open space from which to shop for well curated product. I don't think Bob is happy there, given his antisocial vibe and demeanor. Needless to say, I walked out, and bought some Birkenstocks at the shoe store nearby. An experience to ponder: yesterday I took my brother and his wife to wander around the shopping…read morearea of town. The person at the register said to a shopper, "why are you wearing a mask?" She replied that she wasn't vaxxed and was protecting herself and other shoppers. She was not snarky or pushy, just answered the question. The register lady sort of snort-laughed derisively and said ooooh, ooo-kaay. The shopper left without making a purchase, as did my little group. 1: why did the register person feel the need to accost the shopper? 2: They lost at least 4 purchases in that moment, and I won't be back if I see that lady at the register again. And then I wonder if it was the owner at the register? 3: shops complain about losing business, but if this is what's going on, then yeah, they're losing business. There were many interesting things I would have purchased, had it not been for this interaction.
