My sister came here after having a good experience last year but she doesn't write reviews. She set up an with Gina on Monday and was there for 2 hours. She had her hair washed, cut and dried. She specifically went in with the intention to get a layered cut and a small area shaved on the back of her neck. She showed her pictures of what she wanted and While Gina was pleasant enough this is not what she got. Her hair has no layers and the area shaved was crooked. After paying $36 and then basically being forced to leave a tip she went home. She called the owner Laura to fix it but experienced further difficulties. From the min that she walked in to the min she left all she experienced was hostility. Laura wasted no time bashing her employee Gina and was rude throughout the entire session. She asked my sister 3 times before she started it she was sure she wanted a haircut. She made no pleasant conversation. She was constantly rolling her eyes and was very hostile. She continuously complained about her other coworker and she had the audacity to say that the shaved area wasn't that crooked and she didn't understand the big deal. The worst part is she was friendly with everyone else except her. Honestly if you're not happy with an employee fire them. If you disagree with the customer have the respect and sensitivity to keep the opinions to yourself. And if you can't keep your behavior pleasant while dealing with customers you shouldn't be in a position where they exist.

My husband says I have "lion head" when I don't straighten it. Jennie did a Yuko treatment to straighten my hair and get the friz out. Amazing what it has done for me. I can blow dry it and wear it as is or straighten it in half the time as before. I LOVE IT! Her salon has great "stuff" too. I expected good service since the salon was rated 5 stars, my hair was damaged and remained curly even after following all the aftercare instructions. I wish I had seen that review before I made the appointment. I called Kelli after seeing a Groupon for Japanese hair straightening. She was not available to do the appointment on the day that I was available so referred me to her colleague, Eric. He did the straightening and I followed the aftercare instructions. The treatment did not work. My hair looks the same frizzy wavy way that it did before the treatment. I messaged both Kelli and Eric about this and sent pictures. Kelli admitted that the product was not left in long enough for the treatment to work but offered to fix it by doing a keratin treatment (which would not have the same perfectly straight lasting results of the Japanese hair straightening) or to do the Japanese hair straightening again at no cost. I did my research by contacting other professionals who very sternly warned me that doing another Japanese hair straightening treatment would be very damaging to my hair. I said that I did not want to come back and have another treatment done and that I would like a partial refund. Kelli's response when I brought that up was that I should just talk to Eric from now on. My intention with the post is just to warn other people about my experience. It's been 3 days and I see no red damage to my hair, so at least there is that. I think that both Kelli and Eric had the best of intentions here and I assume do great work on other procedures so all I can share is my own experience with this specific procedure.
