I had a group event at HeyDay today and had such an incredible experience. The manager, Yvana, was so welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. She and her colleague (whose name I didn't catch :/) let me talk their ear off while I waited an hour for my friends/clients to be done. Such a great vibe all around and was the perfect ending to a busy work day. I rarely leave reviews but really appreciated them making it such a lovely experience. Had the pleasure of trying out Heyday Playa Vista recently and will be back!! Easy parking either free on street or limited in stalls in front of Free Market and if needed plenty of paid parking in large structure (can be validated at theater, cvs, Whole Foods etc). Very welcoming check in experience. Ambiance is amazing! Very relaxing. Great product selection in front of store. Had great service by Cahrin. She listened super well to my concerns and did a fantastic job choosing product and types of treatments tailored to my needs. Definitely recommend her!! Membership options if you're inclined. Definitely helps to cut down cost for add on services. A little pricey but worth it. Definitely will be back!!! read more

I've been going to heyday for 8 years. Today was definitely my last time. It used to be a luxury facial for an amazing price with great products. It has gone downhill. Now they make it so complicated with the membership and the vouchers. I've been a member and when I went to use my voucher, they couldn't find my membership in the system so I had to pay out-of-pocket. They couldn't find my phone number even though I've been a member for more than two years. then six months later, I get a text saying I have two vouchers to use. I go there to use the vouchers & during the facial She is up -selling me adding micro dermabrasion and a red light treatment and she tells me "oh dont worry your vouchers will cover this" and I said how much is it and she said "I don't know exactly but your vouchers will cover it " then when I go out to pay, I suddenly owe $180. I'm able to convert one voucher to pay for this so I owe the balance of $50. I asked them to print out the bill so I can look at it and they said they don't have a printer. after more than 15 minutes I finally paid the $50 balance and leave. Oh & they don't even have a ticket for the parking garage and I have to pay six dollars for parking!. It was a horrible, horrible experience. It made a facial stressful. What a shame heyday. The manager started to say "let me do something to fix this, " but then she didn't do anything. She just canceled my membership. Do not use Apple Maps to try and get here. It will take you to the apartment building and not the actually place. I made that rookie mistake! Heyday is located inside Free Market and you can park inside the parking structure for a fee. The place is clean and warm. They sell products up front and the facials are done in back. If you are looking for a spa like atmosphere, this isn't it. But if you want a nice facial, I recommend this place. They have a bunch of stations in back separated by walls and curtains. The chair was comfy and Chantal offered me a blanket which I happily accepted. I had my first facial with Chantal and I love her. She is the sweetest thing, and I will be booking all my facials with her! My wedding is about 6 months away and you can guess that I am trying to get my skin ready for my big day. What I love about Chantal is that since I was new to HeyDay she walked me through everything I was doing, asked my preferences, and was just overall a sweet person. We chatted, she gave her opinions on what was needed and what wasn't. I didn't feel pressured to buy or do anything. Heyday does offer a special if it is your first facial with them. I was a frequent client of Heyday when it first opened its NYC location. When I moved to LA, I had a membership and visited occasionally up until now. I feel that the quality of the facials and its aestheticians have noticeably declined while its pricing and product costs have increased significantly. Each time I visit, it seems that the aestheticians are less knowledgeable or keen on info sharing, and generally less thorough when it comes to extractions, massage time, and overall quality. When I first started going to Heyday, they would do a proper diagnosis of my skin and walk through each product. They do this less and less, and with my last visit--I got no information at all, it was practically an in and out visit. She also seemed very inexperienced with the way she was applying products--being heavy on the touch and sort of rubbing it around rather than massaging. When I left my facial, there was so much product in the sides of my hair that I had to go straight home. I can understand a little product is unavoidable, but there was so much oil in my bangs that I couldn't stay in public after my appointment because they were standing straight up and looking crazy. The prices have also increased dramatically. I used to buy products routinely here, but have since found equivalent products and services at other facial places. I can understand that facials are splurges, however I can now definitively say that Heyday's level of service has fallen very short of their price point. read more

I have been coming to Heyday Playa Vista since August 2023 for my monthly facial with Stacy. With her help, my skin has improved so much - almost no more breakouts, old acne scars have faded, blackheads are gone, skin feels hydrated and GLOWING! I no longer feel the need to wear make up. I feel so confident in my skin that I go bare face. Stacy's product recommendations are intentional, with consideration of what my skin needs and my budget. I appreciate that she never tries to "sell" me anything but truly offers wonderful product recommendations and skincare advices that work well for me. The overall vibe of Heyday is calming. The decors are lovely. I have always been greeted with smiles. It's a treat to have this nice establishment in my neighborhood. read more

Everything about this place is amazing! I have been coming to this location regularly for a year and a half and have had a wonderful facial experience each time. Before I moved to this area, I went to the Beverly location, which is also great if you live around there. I have really seen results since I've been getting facials at Heyday for about 3 years now. The facials are 50 mins long and throughout the entire process, your esthetician will explain what they are using, ask you questions about your skincare routine, and make recommendations based on what you tell them/what they observe about your skin. Each time the recommendations have been spot on! There is also zero judgment and only helpful advice. I especially love Elizabeth as she has the most honest advice so she's my go-to from now on! That being said, the other estheticians are also extremely knowledgeable and friendly so you really can't go wrong. Your entire appointment will leave you feeling pampered, relaxed, and rejuvenated - I've even fallen asleep at least once haha. Some estheticians will give you a neck massage while some of the products soak in, which is a wonderful perk! The location itself is also very relaxing and clean feeling. You are even given a blanket if you want so you aren't cold during the facial. Another feature that I appreciate is that while your esthetician may recommend certain products, they do not do a hard sell or guilt you into buying anything extra. The prices are also very reasonable, especially if you have a membership. I believe a regular facial is $145 plus $40 if you want any enhancements, such as LED light therapy, peel, etc. However, if you come regularly (and you should - you will really see results!), the monthly membership is $114, which includes a facial and discounts on the enhancements (half price) and products (I think 10-15% off, I can't remember). Plus if you skip a month, your $114 automatically rolls over so you can use it for tip, products, etc. Overall, you end up saving money if you do the membership. The location itself is also nice because they have ample parking. There is a parking structure and they (generally) offer validation. There was a short stretch where they were out of the validation cards so they would recommend going to CVS or Whole Foods to get validation - of course, this causes more parking fees to rack up and probably isn't worth it. When they do have validation cards, which is almost always, I still have had to pay $2 to park because it's only for an hour so unless you enter the garage 5 mins before your appointment, find a spot quickly, and sprint to your car after, you're probably going to go over the hour. That being said, it's just $2 and in LA, it's nice having guaranteed parking. I definitely recommend this studio to anyone who loves facials or who doesn't know if they do but wants to up their skincare game! read more

Chantal was so gentle with the treatment which apparently can be uncomfy but I literally almost fell asleep. She's so pleasant to talk to during your session- if you like talking she's very nice but she's also not pushy. My skin is literally glowing after she did such a great job. Chantal will find you the best products for your skin and you can trust that she really knows what she's talking about. The ambience is fantastic in HeyDay. Sydney the hostess is very sweet and will ease you into the relaxing atmosphere. Everyone here is just so so nice you feel like you're at a girl's slumber party. I'm keen on noticing types of massages and strokes used during the facial and she was on point! It was so relaxing, I tried to memorize every movement so I could learn to give the same type of facials massages to friends or my future man The extraction process surprised me, they don't use steam. I use to love this method, but I can see why their hot towel method is more beneficial. I recently moved and am looking for a new place to get facials. I decided to try HeyDay since they are doing a $20 off promo for first time facials. Their facial start at $140. Facial: I want to start off my saying my esthetician was really nice and professional. She asked me questions about my skin and I told her my main areas of concern were blackheads, hydration and redness and that I had an event later in the week that I was getting ready for. I am giving 3 stars because I am disappointed with the service I received. My biggest problem is with the extraction portion. She spent a few minutes trying to extract blackheads and then told me they were difficult to extract. I have gotten facials multiple times w/ multiple estheticians and no one has ever mentioned that as a problem. My blackheads being difficult to extract is one of the reasons why I seek out a professional to help. Compared to my previous facials, I noticed she did not use steamer on my face and she did not spend nearly as much time on extractions. The place I went in the past usually had the steam on through the first half of the facial while they're putting on all the masks and then stop when they get to the extraction portion. At the end of my facial she told me she only got some of my blackheads out - which at the time, I thought was okay since I know it's not realistic to clear them all out. However, when I got home and took a closer look, I realized most of my blackheads were still there. That was incredibly disappointing and frustrating since all of my facials in the past have dramatically improved my blackheads and that was one of my biggest skin goals. Aside from the poor blackhead removal, I normally get the post facial glow for several days and my skin looks plump and hydrated. I haven't noticed that change in my skin this time. Environment: The ambiance is nice and the facility is clean. It's located inside a building so it was a little difficult to find, but they are aware of that and send text info prior to the appointment to make sure you can find them. The facial rooms are not completely private. The ceiling is open with curtains as doors so you can hear other clients as they talk and walk around outside the room. Parking: There is a large parking structure. I asked about validation at the front desk and was told that they normally have validation, but they didn't have it with them then so I could go to CVS to get validation. I had to ask a CVS employee for validation and they only validated for 1 hr. I stayed a few minutes over an hour and had to pay $2 (it is $2 for the first hour and increases quite a bit per 15min i think). It's difficult to go in and out within an hour since you're supposed to get there early, then park and walk to the shop and then the esthetician usually spends a few minutes after the appointment to talk about products. Overall: The place is very cute and the people are friendly, but the facial that I received isn't up to the standard that I was expecting for the price I am paying. I did not request a specific esthetician and accepted the person I was scheduled with. I know that facials are dependent on your esthetician, but I expected the quality of the facials to be great regardless of who I was working with. I would not recommend this place if you struggle with congestion and blackheads. read more

I really wanted to love this place because I just moved in nearby and was looking forward to signing up for the membership but was devastatingly disappointed by the facial itself. Heyday was not what I expected.. - the staff is not knowledgeable, from front desk to Estician. Front desk couldn't answer my questions and my Estician didn't understand when I said no AHA/BHA's on my skin that meant enzymes (pumpkin, papaya are naturally occurring acids and fall under AHA category). My skin was irritated, I had just chemically exfoliated 4 days prior. Her response was "there's no aha's they're just naturally occurring enzymes" - when I made the appointment I was interested in the "hydro wand," when I asked if the service was similar to a hydra facial front desk said yes it's the same device but they have to market it as a Hydro wand because it's not a full facial just an addition... which made no sense to me. I was later recommended the nano infusion even though my goal was hydration and purifying. -facial itself was not pleasant, it was rushed, noisy, bright & I hated that there was no steam making my extractions probably less easy. Although they use hot towels, at no point did this feel luxury or did I feel the experience match it's premium price point. I was also cold, there were no blankets. But I was provided a sheet. For a total of $250 I felt that I could've purchased a high quality experience / facial elsewhere. -my skin felt dirty. She double cleansed using two oil cleansers. I would've preferred one oil and a foam or gel cleanser. I left with a lot of mascara under my eyes. -they're promoting a "summerbogo" buy one, get one outside but inside the store at check out the front desk didn't mention it. But I didn't mind because at that time I had no intentions of wanting to re-book, only to get home and wash my face as quickly as possible. But for a first time client you may want to mention something like that. Final thoughts: heyday has an adorable location, and front of office. The product wall is stocked with great products And the waiting room is chic, calm, and comfortable. But they put none of that attention to detail in the facial area itself. Instead when you step to the back it's bright, cold and chairs feel more like a dentists chair than a table you would get a facial and the rooms are separated by curtain rods. The staff is young and inexperienced, if your looking for a quick grab and go express facial, or a place to take your teenager, MAYBE this is for you. Overall my main complaint is that they should not charge a premium for a less than average experience. I honestly wish I could get a refund since I came home and just washed my own face. read more

I really liked it. My aesthetician was really good. And the products are high quality . It's not your typical relaxing day spa, so don't anticipate the slippers and robes with sauna. They have curtains instead of doors and play pop music instead of relaxing sounds. So it's really more of a "quick on the go skin care". Had my very first facial EVER on Friday with Vincent at Heyday. Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect and I was having a rough morning - so I was really looking forward to relaxing. Vincent was a total dream. He walked me through exactly what to expect, customized my facial. I had been on an airplane recently and my skin was dry with a healing breakout. He was super kind, non-judgmental of how my skin was behaving (I'm SUPER sensitive about my skin, especially when I have a breakout. Call it PTSD from being a teenager), and a fantastic conversationalist. He made me so comfortable that when I walked out of there - not only was I glowing because my skin had gotten some seriously needed hydration, but my spirit was glowing. He went above and beyond and even brought me a treat the next day and asked me to meet him! Such a doll! I have a new friend now!
