I faced a rather complex procedure including a septoplasty, turbinate reduction, tonsillectomy, uvulapalatopharyngoplasty. Knocking all of these out in one procedure is a tall order but Dr. Pesce handled it like just another Friday afternoon. Cool as a cucumber. I'm still a big fan of Dr. Salvado, but not so much the experience of visiting this office. The last time I scheduled an appointment to see her, which was confirmed as being with her by reminder text, they put me with another Doctor who was not a specialist in my conditions. My Doctor wasn't even at that location on the day my appointment was scheduled with her. Also, Nicole has left, and so did the person who replaced her. They also raised the price of my allergy shots to an amount I felt no longer feasible. I'd still happily return for an appointment if I had an issue and could get in to actually see Dr. Salvado. Westside Head & Neck lacks transparency and professionalism. When I came in for an initial consult, I was charged a copay that the front-office had told me would cover both the initial consult and the allergy test, but then received large bill in the mail for the test. Nobody took accountability for the misinformation, and I was treated very rudely by both the billing department and a woman at the front desk. The test itself was also useless and Dr. Putnam didn't explain the results well over the phone at all. I still have no idea what I can and can't eat or what the numbers on my allergy test even indicate. I feel like I've wasted so much of my time and money here only to be disrespected and scammed. This is a rating for my experience with Dr. Behrad Aynehchi. Firstly, the Doctor frankly has no personality. He seemed to be almost drone-like, no engagement or humor. Next, the whole appointment lasted less than 10 minutes. In that time. I did most of that talking. I asked the nurse about doing an endoscope and if that would be an extra cost, I was told that's part of the visit. My interpretation was that is covered in the visit cost. After examining me, he found nothing of note but yet I still have issues with my throat that he did not find or diagnose. In fact, his diagnosis was not helpful at all for me. Fast forward to recently I found the whole visit, the 10 minutes with a dull and non-engaging doctor, cost my insurance $800. The endoscope was a $600 charge for 1.5 minutes of use with no results from it. If you're going to visit this practice, I recommend not going with Dr. Aynehchi. read more

They said that they had called me to confirm my appointment but I only ever received 1 call, from a "no caller ID" number, and I didn't pick up because I thought it could be a scammer. Healthcare is so expensive these days that I think it's really important to flag when a provider falls short. If you want to feel cared for by your doctor, I wouldn't waste your time coming here. Dr. Putnam was 40 minutes late to my first appointment with her (don't worry though her office billed for a full 45 minutes and she only saw me for 10). I came to her with some issues I was having and we decided to order me a skin allergy test. I had my skin allergy test a few weeks later. The guy who administers that is great and the only reason they don't get 1 star. However, he couldn't discuss any of the implications of the results and told me the doctor would call me the following week. Fast forward to I get a missed call from a private number at 7pm on a weekday and I listen to the voicemail. It's Dr. Putnam who says that i've had my allergy test and only to call her back if i want to discuss the results, literally "only call back if you have a question." Which I immediately called back and of course it went to voicemail because she was calling outside of business hours and didn't want to chat with me. I haven't received a call back since which is ridiculous. 1) I came looking for a solution to a problem, 2) I'm not a doctor and can't interpret my results. Dr. Behrad Aynehchi is the most amazing Double Board MD I have ever seen. I had 3 major problems that needed to be fixed. Chronic Sinuses that every year had landed me to ER, Deviated septum, And the tip of my nose needed to be lifted. All these problems were results of 2 previous bad rhinoplasty that took place back in 1990's. I had the procedure done on 10/22/2025. I already can see the improvement already. (I had been told parking could be found at Brotman or on the street.) At this point we called the office and were told we were past the 15 minute late limit (turns out we were very close) and we had lost our appointment. No expression of regret was given and I was told all the other doctors were booked for the rest of the day. However caring physicians might be, the office staff sets the tone. I cannot say enough marvelous things about Dr. Aynechi. I am 5 months post from a rhino/septo/turbinate reduction surgery and the entire experience was incredible. I had a severely deviated septum for years and had so many issues with allergies and breathing. Dr. A has the calmest energy about him and wasn't "pushy/sales-y". He was calm,confident and has impressive credentials. My only regret is not having found him years ago. I drove up from OC to work specifically with him. I would highly recommend him! i waited three months for my appointment here and was sent here after two years of testing by 5 neurologists. i crawled to the door due to my imbalance and was greeted by a hostile receptionist who was unwilling to listen that i couldn't see due to having double vision. the doctor saw me for under 5 minutes, was unwilling to listen to the symptoms ruining my life for two years and preventing my from working or driving or living my life. she was very violent with her tools as she looked in my ears and it was terribly painful. she spent no time at all looking in my problematic ear, but rather the other one, then yelled "i'm not just going to give you medication!" when i didn't even ask for any. she had failed to get my records from my referring physician and instead referred me back. laziest, most painful, least time spent "doctor" i have ever seen and i bet they billed the hell out of my insurance. now i still can't walk or see and have no answers bc my neurologist has no one left to refer me to. I had allergy problems for years every spring. I went to see Dr Dorothy Wong and she was beyond amazing. I can't believe the difference. She did some work on my nose (I forgot the scientific name for the work) and helped me so much. I now only very rarely react to allergens. To blow your nose constantly through the day and night is awful. It affects your sleep and my wife's sleep and to be able to sleep without constantly having blocked sinuses is life changing. Front desk is just awful! I took my son in to see doctor Shapiro, who has been helpful and kind, but front desk is just so rude. They NEVER informed me that Shapiro would no longer be taking insurance and I never signed or acknowledged knowing so, yet they wanted to charge me after I was checking out. Why wouldn't you confirm with me that I was paying before taking me back??? .. So unprofessional and they didn't even try to work with me. I refused to pay considering this is illegal and called surprise billing. My partner just received the bill from collections and we are currently disputing it. Awful awful awful front desk! Thank you, doctor!!!! Two months ago, Dr.Behrad Aynehchi performed the neck and face lift procedure on me and did such an amazing job!!!! I am 65 years old and all of my friends are surprised and amazed how much younger and beautiful I look after the surgery. My journey to finding Dr. Aynechi began six years ago when an ENT told me to solve my breathing problems using allergy spray. Well, friends, that didn't quite cut it. I knew it was inevitable that I would need medical surgery to correct how bad my breathing had become. My goal was to find a cosmetic surgeon that would also be able to perform medical surgery as well as they did cosmetic-- I had a complicated case. When I saw that Dr. Aynechi was dual board certified in both head/neck surgery and cosmetic surgery, as well as his prestigious professional background that spans between NY and LA, I felt it was fated and lucky, not many surgeons share his accolades. From the moment we first met, Dr. Aynechi was incredibly kind, patient, and sensitive to all of my questions, concerns, follow-ups, etc. After discussing what would be the ideal outcome of the surgery for me and I opted to add a cosmetic portion, he let me completely guide the discussion and respected my neurosis around changing my appearance. I showed him a collection of noses I thought were well done, a collection I did not like, and discussed what made the most sense for my face without looking like I had-very-clearly-obviously-had-a-nose-job. I went in and waited for over an hour which seemed fine because the office was busy but it turned out that they had simply forgotten to inform my doctor that I was there. As soon as someone realized the mistake I was shown in to see the doctor immediately. There was also no explanation of the cost of the allergy test I was being given or how my insurance might cover it, which means I was hit with a $500 bill a few months later. I had been seeing Dr. Amanda Salvado for over a year and a half. A week ago, while driving, suddenly I could not turn my neck to look in the side mirror. The pain was excruciating. Since it was a Friday evening, I spent the weekend alternating heat/cold and gobbling Advil. On Monday morning, since it was not abating, I called Westside Head & Neck. Dr. Salvado was not in that week, so I left a detailed message with the receptionist explaining the situation, and asked for one of the other Dr.'s in the practice to prescribe something. No one got back to me. Several hours later, close to 5pm, afraid that they would close without getting back to me, I called again, and another receptionist answered, saying that Dr. Putnam said I should apply heat and take Advil! When I repeated that I had already done that for 4 days and was still in great pain, he put me on hold, then returned and said "take some muscle relaxers". What? What muscle relaxers? Is that something OTC? What brand? He repeated the same thing and then handed me over to his supervisor. She said that a prescription had already been sent to the pharmacy, but it is not something for their office to deal with-I have to go to a spine specialist, but first to my primary Dr. Sorry, but isn't the word "Neck" in the title of your practice? She chastised me for even bothering them with such an absurd request as well as telling me that they "do have other patients and would eventually have gotten back to me" (i.e., stop annoying them). Never mind that I had no idea a script had been sent in. When I asked for any specifics on how to take the medication, she snapped, "ask the pharmacist". I never did get it filled since it began to improve on the 6th day. But thanks for your compassionate care. read more

I have been going to Dr. Putnam for close to 10 years now, so it's about time I left a review. She is patient, caring, and very knowledgeable. Her staff is also friendly. I reserved my latest appointment through ZocDoc and a member of her team called to remind me about my appointment. I was in and out of my appointment in less than 15 minutes. There was virtually zero waiting time (my appointment was at 9:50am, so it may be different later in the day). Also, there's free one hour street parking nearby. Under name Susannah, I went yesterday to see Dr Aynehchi for symptoms of vertigo and persistent allergies. He had great reviews, but maybe it is in regard to surgeries because I've never experienced such a horrible consultation. He spent not more than 5 minutes with me and did not even allow me to explain about my history with vertigo and what has not worked in the past before just sending for a test and calling it a day. He had a terrible bedside manner (no smile, looked like he hated his job). I took off work and such a waste of time. They rushed me out so fast. He suggested nasal spray and an air filter, which if he cared to listen to me he would have known I've tried all of that already and that's why I was going to him. I came here to find out why I keep having vertigo symptoms. I was redirected to a Balance Disorders facility after the doctor failed to get the Eply Maneuver to work on me. I went to the Balance Disorders facility two weeks later and fixed my vertigo within 2 Eply Maneuver sessions. My issue with Westside H&N is their customer service. It is extremely hard to get a hold of anyone here. I called the office when I was billed more than $300 for my office visit because my insurance information on file was incorrect. A man answered the phone and he told me to email him the correct information. I have probably emailed this guy more than 3 times with no response. I had to call the front desk another 2-3 times in a span of a week to get a hold of someone else who could help me with disputing my charge. Finally, I got a hold of someone who helped me check how much I actually owe the hospital with my actual insurance information. I still don't have a for sure response on how much I owe, since Westside H&N only sent in my updated insurance records to my health insurance provider recently. Therefore, I am still waiting for an updated billing for a useless office visit I had almost 2 months ago. ALSO just a heads up. You will be charged more than $60 for "earwax removal". The doctor won't tell you that there's an extra charge. You will just be heartlessly billed like I did. read more

Dr Putnam enacted a very weird Covid policy. A few weeks ago, I cancelled my allergy shot because I tested positive for Covid and didn't want to put anyone at risk. After about a week, I felt a lot better and had no symptoms. I let another week pass by and took a rapid test at a clinic near me. Covid was out of my system completely - as the test turned out negative. After receiving this information, I tried to make an appointment to get my allergy shot. To my surprise, they said in order for me to receive my allergy shot, I had to get ANOTHER negative test 4 days after my last test . Talk about overkill, especially considering CDC recommends asymptomatic/vaccinated people to go back to work in 5 days. How does it make sense if I had: - No symptoms - Tested negative - Had been at least 10 days or more since I experienced my first symptoms. How frustrating! I'd also like to note that the allergy nurse in the Santa Monica office has a distasteful attitude. No customer service skills at all. Not a happy person. The allergy nurse at the Culver City office, however, is very personable, friendly and helpful. read more

I have had trouble with my sinuses for years and had always put it off because other things would seem more important. Ultimately, I continued to get sore throats and sinus congestion so I saw Dr. Aynechi for a consultation. Dr. Aynechi went over my CT scan and showed me what was causing my symptoms. He was very informative with what to expect during and after the surgery. The surgery went as planned without any delays. I would also like to praise the staff that made the process easy and scheduled the surgery at my convenience. I am now 6 weeks out for my surgery and finally feel like I can breath normally again. I recommend Dr. Aynechi and his practice to anyone that may be thinking about having sinus surgery. At the very least, he will be able to counsel you as to if you are a good candidate or not. The front office staff are not good at their jobs. Putnam's office told me they would schedule the MRI. I called the Imaging center, they hadn't heard from my doctor, I call Putnam's office they said they had scheduled it, I call the Imaging Center they say they have nothing on the books but they'll call Putnam's office to straighten it out. They did. A week later I get a call from the Imaging Center, the health insurance wasn't approved for the MRI. My insurance provider says the abnormal hearing test I took wasn't submitted as the "evidence" for the necessity of the MRI procedure. I call Putnam's office and leave a message- no response. I call again, the office staff says it's not their job to submit the hearing test, it's the Imaging Center. The Dr. has the hearing test and is ordering the MRI because of it, not the Imaging Center, but this logic is dismissed. I am now waiting for the office staff to call my insurance company to figure out what to do. It seems to me that this should be a regular, clear process, not a frustrating, time wasting bit of business. read more

Westide Head & Neck has been nothing but a blessing to my life. My family has really waxy ears that need to be professionally cleaned occasionally. This used to cause me a lot of anxiety and dread because I've experienced trauma with my ears in the past, so I really don't enjoy when I have to get things done to them. Before Dr. Wang, I had to go to urgent care to get them cleaned and the experience was not pleasant (at all) as doctors probed and prodded and shot pressurized water in my ear to try and clean them. I finally went to Dr. Wang who so gently and quickly cleaned my ears with this fine, little tool. She literally walks in, asks me how I'm doing and then within 3 min, it's done. No pain, discomfort, pressure or anything. It's truly such a pleasant experience and she's even talking to me while she does it! She also has a fantastic, calming bedside manner and remembered that I'm a DJ even though I'd only seen her a couple of times. If you have any issues with your ears or sinuses, do yourself a favor and come here. 5/5 read more
