It only has seating for 8 inside (4 tables of 2) and 4 picnic tables outside (so seating for about 16 outside). The Long Version: District Deli opened up around March 2025 in the space that was Bismallah Pies (was Charlie's Groceteria before that). My husband and I dropped by to pick up a sandwich to share. The sandwiches are all named after nearby streets, which really gives it that neighbourhood feel. All meat sandwiches are $13.99 and vegetarian sandwiches are $12.49. You can also build your own for $13.99 where you can choose 2 meats, one cheese, and whatever vegetables you like. We went with the build your own option. We got roast beef and prosciutto cotto, fresh mozzarella and lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, pickled onions, pickled eggplants, and roasted red peppers, with a bit of honey mustard. Prepare to be amazed............... We had heard about his place for months and how awesome it was so we finally decided to try it out. When we got there at mid-day on a Saturday there was a line up out the door. My wife suggested we go for a walk to let the line thin out a but. We got back and the line had thinned out so we went in. They have a set number of sandwiches and you can also make your own, but we decided to try their set sandwiches. I got the Parkdale and the Holland, my wife got the Bayswater, and we picked up a Scott for my daughter. When we got home, we were nothing short of blown away. The quality of the sandwich was amazing - the bread was light and fluffy, a ton of meat, fresh veggies, great sauces, just incredible quality. More importantly, fantastic value for money. Even more importantly, the staff were wonderful - they chatted with us but kept the line moving - super professional and friendly. The quality of the sandwiches here rivals Old Tyme - no word of a lie. The bread they use is very very close to what we had in Lafayette and the quality of the fillings is outstanding.
