I'd advise anyone against signing up for the monthly plan since it's a use-it-or-lose-it scenario, so I just paid per visit instead. I've gone there a few times sporadically for treatment and explained to the chiropractor who questioned my absence that I got injured, and EDD took a long time to give me a disability payment. Further, I told him that chiropractor visits and the cost of living aren't cheap, so if I don't get paid, they don't get paid, and I must prioritize my rent, food, and other living expenses first. Additionally, the dude working at the front desk really didn't help with his poor customer skills when he refused to honor my next chiropractic adjustment for $19. He proceeded to rudely interrupt me by telling me that no such coupon exists and that it was only for new customers. I already told him I was aware of that $29 new patient special and that I was a returning patient seeking my $19 deal. Then, he interrupted me again by telling me it was only for military veterans before I finally managed to pull it up on my device and show him. My husband and I recently saw Dr. Andrew Lam at The Joint, and we were both so impressed. He truly takes his time and shows that he really cares about his patients. I had been dealing with a sore arm for about six weeks that was only getting worse. I honestly didn't think a chiropractor could help since I thought it was a soft tissue injury. Andrew went straight to my shoulder, carefully examined it, and explained in detail what was going on. He was even able to ease the pain significantly during the visit. My husband had also been struggling with lower back pain for weeks, and Andrew took his time to find the root of the problem and knew exactly what to do. I've been here once before about 8 years ago and don't recall any issues back then. Fast forward to today, I'm confused why there are so many bad reviews. I called to get more information and see if they had any openings. I spoke with a gentleman. I told him that I had been there before but he wasn't able to pull me up in their system so I filled out the new patient packet via email and sent it back once I finished. I liked the fact that there's no appointment system (but they do have special hours for new patients ... which makes a lot of sense considering they do take a little bit more time for consultation/initial assessment) I arrived at about 5:45pm, was greeted right away. No wait whatsoever. I saw Dr. Anderson, he was very kind and knowledgeable (great sense of humor) cracked a lot of jokes too. He did a quick assessment and adjustment. He recommended I should get an adjustment at least once a month instead of every 8 years lol so I ended up signing up with the $20 a month/$20 per visit. Essentially it basically comes down to pretty much the same price as coming once a month (technically saving $5) but well played on the marketing portion. As someone who runs an office myself, everyone was professional and office looked very well maintained. I just went by The Joint and really enjoyed my first adjustment. I was nervous as I had never visited a chiropractor before and the doctor put me at ease. I would have given the office a five star review and signed up for the monthly plan if it wasn't for the wait. I had a 3:30 appointment and I was 5 minutes late. I called the office when I was on the way to let them know I was a few minutes behind and I was told this was ok. I arrived to a packed waiting room and had to fill out a stack of forms. It would have been nice to have been told that the forms were sent to me and I could fill them out ahead of time. Now my biggest issue is that I made an appointment and I still had to wait 45-50 minutes to be taken back. They even had walk-ins that they saw prior to me and I feel that shows I do not have much value to this company. I think the office definitely needs to communicate with patients better, especially if running behind, and take scheduled appointments prior to their walk-ins. read more

I have a monthly subscription with The Joint franchise due to having chronic neck pain that was never fixed until I began to seek chiropractic care. I have been to many of the different franchise locations. From my understanding, the Rancho Joint, Eastvale Joint and Rialto Joint are sister franchises. The Fontana, Upland, and Riverside Joint are also a franchise group. I have actually been to all of these locations (excluding Eastvale). The care I have received at Rancho has been the best by far! The chiropractors at Rancho take their time and find the pinpoint cause of complaints. My adjustments are customized at Rancho, whereas it's always the same adjustment regardless of my area of complaint at the other Joint locations. I walked in for my appointment right on time and I was greeted by a man with his feet on the front desk scrolling through his phone? Told me to come back in 20 minutes. Luckily this was a free day for me, or else I would have just left and they lose my business. So I came back and was checked in. I went in due to tailbone issues and discomfort. I was told there wasn't much that could be done to help it. And the doctor did massage the ligaments around my tailbone which felt good, but didn't relieve the pain. The full body adjustment was pretty good but didn't help my reason of going into the chiropractor in the first place. Then they wanted me to sign up for a membership to continue improving my mobility, even though I just needed help with my tailbone. The doctor was nice and seemed like a cool guy, but wasn't able to assist me because my tailbone is still in discomfort... I have been coming to the joint pretty religiously for about a year and a half. The providers are fantastic, each with his/her own style and technique. I really appreciate the personalized care from each of them. However, I want to highlight one provider in particular for this review. Dr. Lam started seeing me a few months ago and he was very kind and thoughtful from the beginning. I had been struggling with pain in my left hip and weakness in my left knee for years. I started opening up to Dr. Lam about my specific ailments and he just took it to heart. He worked tirelessly to help each concern using his own creative technique. He started working on my knee first and within one treatment, I felt improvement. After having some success with my knee I shared with him that the hip is more of an issue and it is now affecting my gait. Dr. Lam went to work!!! He tried the traditional techniques that everyone else tried and failed at, but then I think he saw it as a personal goal to make things better. One day he tried something different and I immediately felt the difference. Like everything just lined up and I can "breathe" again. I slept well that night and noticed my gait improving. I told him that the technique worked. He did it again and I felt even better. After a while, I noticed that my right side started having the discomfort that my left side used to have...I told him. Now he does the techniques on both sides and I am a new human. I walk straighter and feel amazing. "Dr. Lam gives a Damn!!" I am hopeful that regular visits with him will lead to even better outcomes because he's not just looking to get you in and out with the usual techniques, he's willing to listen and try something unique if it means it will help the patient. This was our first time here at this location. We normally go to Redlands or Fontana. We liked how this location is open Sunday. We had a minimal wait until we were seen. The doctor was friendly and very polite. I was wearing a dress and he had a towel ready!! However I always wear shorts under my dresses. The doctor read the notes from the other doctors I have seen, and asked if I had any new symptoms. We enjoyed our visit here. read more

Terrible Adjustment. I went in with a migraine and the doctor just used the table to do the adjustment on my lower back, the area that was not even in pain. Didn't even address the concerns about the migraine. Usually at other locations, the will massage the area from where the pain is centralized all the way up to my head. Will NEVER come here again. I currently have a membership. Coming here is hit or miss depending on which chiropractor you get. So far I've seen 5 different chiropractors. Dr.Tolbert is consistently doing a great job, he takes his time, he asks what bothering you. He has great bed side manners. I wish I knew all the other doctors names, but I don't. The first woman chiropractor who did my initial appointment was nice and informative. She has red hair. The second lady I had was an older Hispanic woman she was amazing. I wish I had her name. She had great bed side manner, checked in on how I was feeling, took her time during the adjustment. I would say the best adjustment out of all the doctors. I felt fantastic afterwards and wasn't sore from having excessive amount of pressure placed on me. The last two male chiropractors I had was not a good experience whatsoever. The first male seemed annoyed I was there and didn't speak to me, just told me to lay down, didn't check to see if I had and problem areas and I didn't feel good after. The last male I just seen today actually 12/4/21 1:30. he was the only other chiropractor there besides Dr. Tolbert. Older, heavier set Hispanic male. He doesn't have good bedside manner, I sat there while he read my profile, he didn't speak to me besides saying have a seat. Didn't ask if I had any problem areas. The adjustment was quick maybe 1 min. He never uses the bed clicker or adjust my lower back which I have the most discomfort. If he were to ask, then maybe he would do a better job. I've seen him twice. Both times I felt like he rushed through the adjustment did the bare minimum and doesn't really care to give the best care possible. I felt like I wasted my time and money both times. In the future, I will be sure to get all the names and only go on days that have chiropractors that actually enjoy their jobs and want to make a difference. I suggest paying chiropractor based off the amount of adjustment they do, because people will wait to go to the good chiropractor, while the mediocre ones are just sitting around doing nothing or a less than quality adjustment. On 12/31/22 I came in for the first time and was seen by Anderson. He was so disgusting I can't even consider him a doctor. He asked me if I wanted him to tenderize my butt while he had his hands on me and then said "Sorry I couldn't help myself" Afterwards he Pat the top of my head. He followed me to the counter at the front and I felt forced to sign up. Do not come here if you are a women unless you want some disgusting pervert touching you. The staff has handled the incident well and I have reported Anderson and am waiting to hear back from management. Who knows how many other patients are made to feel uncomfortable by this disgusting man. Do not go to the joint because they obviously don't screen their chiropractors well enough. I'd be afraid to let any other person there touch me. Update: 3pm 1/3 still no response. I messaged the corporate office, the Rancho manager, and their Twitter account. Update 1/4 complete silence. I do not recommend this business. I came here to support our local business and expected good service. I started out in East Vale but after they failed to keep their posted schedule for their doctors'. I asked for their weekly schedule, I called in the day before to verify scheduled staff, and even called in the day of my appearance. After 3 attempts and the doctors would not showing up to their scheduled times I left to another location. Most my visits were the same. They focused on my back. All but two did they exact same adjustment maintenance. I am talking about 8 doctors here. Front Office Staff: (-5 stars) In the early August 2021 was my last visit. I spoke with the ever rotating front office staff members about canceling my membership. The staff member whom refused to identify herself in a rude tone and fashion. She informed me I had to cancel at my original sight of signing the East Vale Clinic, and she refused to even look at me while speaking. I asked for the form to complete to take down there and was refused in one word no explanation answer. For this rude behavior alone I would say not to go or support this business. The staff have no name tags, refuse to identify, and are rude to nearly every customer by not looking at the people they are talking to over and over again. This rep was even worst to the patient after me. Doctors (4 stars) I have had great , good, and sad doctors at the joint. I am no small person and when you have a tiny female doctor trying to adjust you and cannot, they end up doing more harm than good. My neck was injured from her 3 failed attempts to adjust my neck. You would at least think she would refund the visit after her apology...she did nicely apologize. On my second or third visit, I also had a great doctor whom one day use my legs and pulled hard snapping and alleviating my back lowed spinal pain, this was how I justified returning for the next year and a half. When I later asked whom the doctor was only seeing him one time, the front office again failed and could not identify the doctor even when given my visit date. On my last visit Front Office: (2 stars) The front office is sad joke. Computers are dirty with what looks like bird poop on them (East Vale) , light have grime on them, dust and dirt are present even on computer tops...gross to some but not to me, but should be mentioned. They had chairs, and did well with air conditioning...I can think of nothing else positive to say. Back office: (5 stars) Their back office where adjustments are done is always in good clean condition. Tables and chairs on constantly cleaned. Doctors are always nice, professional, and welcoming. DO NOT SUPPORT THEM. There are others to try. I may return if my back has issues, but doctor and staff never remain the same, adjustment skills vary, but they mostly do the maintenance adjustments which is what I mostly need. We looked around Yelp for a chiropractor and decided to give this place a try since they have. They have a special $29 for initial first time chiropractor visit and adjustment. When we arrived we where helped by Ilsa. She is very nice the whole process. There are many forms to fill out. One got are fine it takes about 10 -20 minutes for you to see the chiropractor. The chiropractor ask me fine questions then tell you to lay to to get you adjusted. I got adjusted really fast and felt great. I signed up with the deal they have $79/month which includes 4 adjusts per month and any additional adjustments cost only $10 which is affordable. They also have us 3 free visits for the first month total of 7. I'm glad we came to this place cause I needed it really!! I feel great a loose after getting adjustment. They have a different chiropractor everyday and don't need to make appointment just come when you want. Plus they have about 500 different locations in the US so you can go to any location you want even on vacation. I did return 3 times since I first started and I can say I'm very satisfied with all the different chiropractors. You need to check this place out if you need a chiropractor. I just got a membership to The Joint not too long ago and I've been going to the Chino Hills location since it's near my job. This location is closer to where I live so I decided to try it out. I was a little hesitant because I saw the reviews for this location compared to the Chino Hills location. I came in, got greeted and checked in right away. I'm not sure what the name of the woman I saw was, but no that was not a good experience for me. I was told to lay face down right away and instead of assessing me, she went right away into the adjustments. She did the drop down table thing and that was painful, almost aggressive. I'm not sure what the purpose of it was but I barely felt anything crack. The only thing that felt good was my neck adjustment. I know I only went here the one time, but when you've gone to a location that is welcoming, warm, and friendly with chiropractors that take time to assess and talk you through the process, it's disappointing going somewhere else that does the opposite. This location is so much closer to me than Chino Hills and I'm off work for winter break, but I think it'll be worth the drive going to that location. I could try a different doctor, but I just don't know.. read more

I made comments about my legs and shoulders. I tried it for two months and felt it is not for me. In the middle of January 2021 was my last visit. I asked both girls at the front desk that I only enrolled for two months and wanted to make sure it would cancel. One replied that it was all taken care and I had nothing to worry of. On February 10, I see a charge for $79 and called. I spoke to Ilse, she said I needed to make a written statement and could not be refunded my money. This is sickening and terrible. I was very upset and told her why she didn't told me in the middle of January when I asked them about canceling. Be aware of this fraudulent transaction that they are doing. For these doctors to keep their business and customers happy I suggest they fire their receptionist and hire ones that know how to work customer service. The two females at the front desk are rude, especially the one with bright red hair. I called yesterday to schedule an appointment. Explained that my husband works far and long hours and She scheduled a first time Customer appointment for my husband at 6 pm. She said "it wasn't a problem just paper work before the exam". Tried them today and my experience was meh... Lots of paperwork to fill out which was fine but the front desk attendant was trying too hard to upsell... it was ackward at times waiting for him to finish when some other person was standing there waiting to check in. He was the only one there... The female chiropractor that was there... she couldn't adjust my back.. she just didn't have the physical strength to make the adjustment. She needed, what felt like 25ish lbs of extra pressure because i could feel that it could crack but she just couldn't do it. She adjusted my neck .. which .. I didn't really have any issues to begin with but.. oh well.. so I pretty much felt the same way that I went in.. I would have gone to my original chiropractor if I had known. The pros: Prices are pretty good. Its the same price I am getting at my original chiropractor but I was just too lazy to drive down to Chino. Update, in response to the managing comment: They lost my paperwork, the girl never filed it and only left notes on the computer without any notes to freeze my account. By the grace of God I asked for a copy. So I have to go in to correct the situation and cannot do it over the phone. BASED SOLELY ON CUSTOMER SERVICE. I went in to freeze my account during covid-19. First off she was SUPER RUDE. I was told by the girl that I had a period of 3 months and I wouldnt be charged. I MADE SURE to have her write down the date that I'd need to go back down there in case I needed to freeze it again and she wrote down a date in June. Here we are in April and I was charged for this month. Read the fine print and it says I have to go back down every 30 days to freeze my account. Not once did she tell met this EVER. If I had of known I wouldve just cancelled my account and renewed once this all died down. I work with a lady with an autoimmune disorder and cant risk going into different places at this time. I will be cancelling my membership. I'd rather pay more elsewhere. It's sad because the Drs are great. The front desk are crooks. read more

I had thought Dr name was Rodriguez but it was Dr Garcia. So onto current day.. today may '18 I had Dr Tolbirt!!! Gettin it right baby! I had just made a 2000 mi trip in a big truck and had not had an adj before I got on the road. So now my left hip is killing me and I'm hobbling into the store here. Lol. I love when they ask how are u today??? And I say well I'm here and BOY do I need an adjustment! Lol. So first he asks where it hurt's. After many years of dealing with muscle knots and pain in my back due to a military injury, a family member encouraged me to visit The Joint. My visit was initially cordial, but when I met Dr. Calderon it changed and went quickly downhill. He did not take X-rays, merely touched my neck and back, and came to the hasty conclusion he couldn't treat me due to the presence of osteoarthritis. He further clarified THE JOINT was merely a business for minor pain. The pronounced absence of a proactive doctor and patient relationship was quashed within 4 minutes of the visit, and the bitter question of why I had wasted my time in visiting this establishment kept rolling though my mind. If you're a veteran, in pain, over 65, DO NOT VISIT THIS ESTABLISHMENT! The Chiropractic Oath has obviously been cast to the side and ignored from the tenets and principles contained therein for which they were intended. read more
