Dr Palmer is a very gentle and friendly chiropractor. This is not the typical snap crackle pop chiropractic style. She does a great job during evaluation to get to the source of pain and makes a plan for healing. The best part is a one stop shop. Acupuncture and massages! I add on for speeding up recovery. Guillian is the new masseuse and she is a keeper! They have a promotion thru Oct for discount on 70 and 90 min sessions. She hit all the trigger points and deep pressure. Called in to see if I could get in for a massage. They were able to fit me in that day. Nico the massage therapist checked to see how firm I wanted it. And yes firm I am. After sciatica injury late last year I made the decision to improve my overall health and wellness. Koi Chiropractic and acupuncture was on the list of approved providers with my insurance so I quickly contacted them and was able to book a visit to see Dr Palmer for chiropractic service and Dr. Mark for acupuncture. Once you walk-in you are greater by their office manager and checked in for your appointment. You will be given time to complete any necessary medical forms.Then you are taken into either the room for your chiro service or acupuncture service (it depends on the Dr's availability at the time). Everyone is very welcoming and wants to understand the cause for your visit, what is going on in your daily activity and then they assess you and share the treatment plan to help you recover. The physicians work together to create an ideal treatment plan to address your ailment and will work with you to focus on other areas of concern as needed. Dr. Palmer is believes practices gentle chiropractic alignment. After each visit I feel much more limber. Then I am take to another quiet room to start the acupuncture session. Dr Mark discusses the assessment and the areas of concern and which areas he will focus on when placing the acupuncture needles. I know acupuncture can seem very scary but it is very quick, easy and painless process. Then you are left in the room for approx 20 min with low soothing sounds to completely relax and enjoy the session. I am so thankful that I found this team of physicians to help me along my journey to a better me. I've been seeing both on a bi weekly / monthly basis and have not had any sciatic nerve pain return but now see them for other ailments one gets as they become more mature with time. Yesterday 10/22/17 while getting into my truck (a raptor) I felt some severe pain in my lower back, so I decided to continue getting into my truck thinking it'd go away but it only worsened. I knew it wasn't good, the pain was terrible. I ended up driving myself to buddies again thinking it'd go away, however it did not. I end up trying to sit on my buddies sofa to relax and hope the pain would go away and still it wouldn't, I work my way to the floor hoping it'd go away; it didn't and at this point, I couldn't get up. I was on the edge of calling the ambulance, there was no positive outcome in sight. I ended up staying on the floor for a good 30-minutes and finally made my way up and into my buddies car so that he can give me a ride to the hospital, from Fontana to Upland (San Antonio). The amount of pain I was going through was unbearable, I ended up receiving a shot in my rear (a relaxer) and some pain meds on the spot and also prescription pain meds. I end my day disabled, and in bed at home because of course, this isn't something you just heal from overnight. I wake up early morning 10/23/17 and start searching on Yelp for chiropractors, with great ratings and bam here it is, Fontana Chiropractic & Acupuncture, so I give them a ring and Dr. Michael Mark took me in the same day as a new patient. I arrive at their 9:30AM slot, and was treated well, Dr. Michael Mark explained his expertise, as well as the operation. I was given Acupuncture and when it comes to needles, I'm the BIGGEST baby but trust me, this wasn't even a concern when you're in pain at the level I was, it doesn't even cross your mind, you just want immediate relief/help. Needless to say, the needles/acupuncture doesn't even hurt! I am very grateful for the professional help, and care! Much recommended. P.S once Dr. Michael Mark is finished with my acupuncture treatments, I am going to have Dr. Marissa align my back. For now, Dr. Michael Mark wants me to take it easy and heal up. read more

My bf has DDD and we came to get decompression therapy but there was so much inflammation that he had to start off with acupuncture before we could even try chiropractor. The very first acupuncture session he had he couldn't even get up from the table, literally the second session he stood up like nothing. Michael is an amazing acupuncturist! When I lived in the area I went to him for shoulder pain after a injury. My shoulder felt very inflamed. After just one treatment I felt so much better! I decided to go to Dr. Palmer to make sure that my body was aligned, so I could heal more quickly from my injury. After just a couple of treatments I felt even better than before the adjustments.
