I cannot review their Doctors but if they do not get rid of their overseas call center it will destroy their business. It takes 20 min to make an appointment. No one comprehends english. They put you on hold 10 times and say they are confirming information. This foreign call center has access to quite a bit of medical information and they are asking questions that should not pertain to scheduling an appointment. When I stated the Drs office has all of that information they still insisted I provide them the information prior to scheduling the appt. They keep having to relay info to a supv for some reason and put you on hold multiple times. Its a very inefficient way to run a professional medical practice. I believe that joint replacement has good doctors. I've been there for three procedures. The problem is. Their customer . or no phone returned. Been trying for two weeks to get an appointment. Delayed return calls, then told that my doctors referral wasn't for a specific doctor and I had to start over. I won't see any of their Physicians ever again. JRI has done a left knee replacement and a left and right reverse shoulder replacement. Dr. Biggs and Dr. Wallace are star performers. Great surgeons and excellent bedside manner. I am extremely disappointed with this practice, particularly given that they performed my bilateral knee replacement one year ago. It is reasonable to expect a surgeon's office to provide appropriate long-term follow-up care for their own post-operative patients. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Despite repeatedly informing the staff that my insurance plan does not require a referral, the office continued to insist on one. I even arranged for Blue Shield to speak with the office manager directly to confirm this. Rather than accepting clear information from both the insurer and myself, the staff continued to demand a referral that was not required. Even more concerning, instead of acknowledging their administrative oversight, the staff chose to label my attempts to clarify my insurance benefits as "inappropriate behavior." Expecting a practice to understand basic insurance requirements--particularly for a routine one-year postoperative follow-up--is neither inappropriate nor unreasonable. As a practice manager in a concierge internal medicine office, I work with specialists daily and understand the importance of accurate insurance knowledge and competent customer service. The level of service demonstrated here was unexpectedly poor. The dismissiveness, unwillingness to listen, and refusal to take responsibility for their own administrative errors were unacceptable. In more than three decades of working in healthcare, I have rarely encountered such inflexibility over a simple and easily resolvable issue. After entrusting this office with major surgery, I expected at minimum a professional and patient-centered approach to follow-up care. Instead, I was treated as an inconvenience. If this is representative of how they manage long-term postoperative patients, I would strongly encourage others to consider an orthopedic practice that values communication and understands the needs of patients who are already managing significant pain. I was very satisfied with my surgeon's clinical work and surgical outcome. However, there are many highly capable orthopedic practices in this area, and there is no reason to endure the level of administrative frustration I experienced here. I love Dr Bebe and his PA Sarah but they are as bad as they can possibly be in getting prescriptions refilled. You call into their automated line to get the voicemail of the doctors assistant and you leave all your information for what prescription you need to refill and then it goes into a black hole. You almost always have to call back at least once. I've been trying to get my pain medication refilled for almost a week. I wanted to get at a Publix pharmacy in Naples instead they sent it to a CVS in New Hampshire. That was close, wrong Pharmacy, wrong state , wrong date. Need I say more.!? read more

The majority of the reviews are correct. Good luck getting an appointment with a Doctor, more likely a PA. I have been in roughly 6 times and have never been introduced let alone see the Doctor, probably on his boat. The office staff is horrible never answers the phones, never leaves messages and responds to nothing on your behalf. Phone tree is terrible, staff is always away from their desk. Don't these people realize patients come into the office and see all the woman dressed in tight black scrubs sitting around in groups talking about hair and nail appointments. Why would it been any different, the medical industry in SWFL BLOWS. Your best option is to travel to West Palm Beach and make a day out of it. read more

The front-end service at this office is the WORSE I've ever encountered. No callbacks, no answering email requests (multiple). Even after you have an appointment, if you are lucky enough to get someone on the phone, the service is cold and impersonal. This cannot be blamed on Covid or staff shortages, as I experienced the same dismal service BEFORE Covid was even released by the Chinese government. They don't call back or when they do they don't know why you've been calling, they couldn't find my referral, the staff is a nightmare. what part of being in PAIN do they not get. I have been trying for a month to get an appointment for a knee ligament issue. Initially, staff said the doctor needed to see my operative report from my 5-year old knee replacement before they could schedule the appointment (even though my problem has nothing to do with that - it's now a ligament issue). I had my doctor in Cincinnati fax the report three different times. They finally acknowledged receipt the third time, which was two weeks ago. I was told the doctor needed to review the report, and they would then contact me about scheduling. I've heard nothing. My Cincinnati doctor's office even followed up with me to see if they could do anything else! That's a practice that cares about its patients. I don't think I'd send my worst enemy to JRI of Naples. I'll wait until May and see my Cincinnati doctor, who is an outstanding orthopod and actually cares about his patients. I went to Joint Replacement Institute of Naples, Florida based on their "website" reviews. Foremost, they will not listen to you OR consider prior MRIs and scans. Recent or not, they simply turn a deaf ear and try to fast-track you to the next paragraph. This is what it boils down to. Your insurance. If you have great insurance, and they (insurance) will pay (like mine), they again, WILL try to fast track you into injections. I had three MRIs and had six injections and explained to Joint Replacement Institute of Naples, Florida, injections do not work for me and my condition. Please see previous medical records and my latest MRI. They came up with a song and dance on how this may be different (again, insurance is paying, so why will they care as this is how they make their cash). But this time it nailed me hard. I was bedridden for almost two weeks. Sadly enough, Doctor Paul Beebe of the Joint Replacement Institute, Naples, Florida never came in and asked what may have been the issue. I expect the entire PR song and dance from the Joint Replacement Institute, Naples, Florida on this, but they know I am on to them and their lack of really understanding what the patient needs. I have seen a number of various physicians here at this office for various reasons and I do have nothing but good things to say about the physicians. The staff, however, never seems to return phone calls. Why would one need to contact the office if their services were not needed? Just today I left a message to get in touch with someone to make an appointment to see Dr. Herron, hand surgeon, as he did an injection to my carpal tunnel several months ago, which was great, I might add, but when calling to make another appointment just today as I truly need another injection at this point, my phone call was not returned. Does this mean there are no available appointments, or the staff just didn't want to bother, or what. It is ridiculous that one cannot get a call back from the staff. I have been here on 4 occasions for shots for my knee. The injection medication has to be ordered from a pharmacy & shipped to the office. Their coordination is terrible & the medication shipment is usually delayed, because no one from the doctor's office returns calls. For this last appointment, I called 5 times over three days & left voice mail messages, as no one answers phones or returns calls. No one there seems to care. I will soon need a knee replacement & I couldn't imagine doing it here. read more

Came in today for what I thought was a cast for a broken bone in my ankle. Turns out I needed a boot instead (great news financially for someone who doesn't have health insurance). The young nurse who took care of me was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and clear with everything I needed to know. The doctor was very clear as well which I appreciated because anything medical can be overly complicated and they avoided that. Annoyed I have to go back so much but I've never broken a bone, I don't know how this works lol. I wish I got the names of the nurse and doctor who saw me because they were great. The receptionist at the front desk with friendly and very welcoming. I'm glad I had to go to them for my ankle, they did a great job! read more

My 81 year old father broke his arm on a lazy river and had to wait 4 days for an appointment. They are from out of state. Once there the doctor had no compassion for him. Could not wait to get rid of them. Offered no suggestions on how to keep his totally black and blue swelled hand and arm more comfortable and told them it was fine to drive back to their state. Engaged Dr. Wallace this summer for my ongoing shoulder pain based on insurance affiliation and mostly positive reviews. My experience was unacceptable in every way. On my first appt. I saw only his PA, no surprise and I expected this, nice, professional young man. He recommended a cortisone shot and performed one. After a couple weeks, with little to no relief I returned. PA recommended an MRI which I accomplished. Third appt. arthroscopic surgery was recommended and I was turned over to surgery coordinator. Now, keep in mind, I HAD YET TO SEE THE DCOTOR!! With some reservation I proceeded. Surgery coordinator apparently coordinates for three doctors and professes to be extremely busy. I had some ancillary issues associated with pre-surgery clearance and needed to speak to her. After multiple phone attempts over multiple days I never got her on the phone even after promises of a return call "in just a few minutes". I did get one return phone call many hours later one day, after close of business, where I was told via voice mail that the best way to communicate with her was via e-mail. The pre-surgery clearance process included a battery of five tests, which my GP as well as two other Orthopedic surgeons now have informed me that since I'm otherwise healthy and fairly young, a number of these five tests are unnecessary. I've also researched the "preoperative medical evaluation of the adult healthy patient" from the medical practitioners online guide, "uptodate.com", where, according to this widely used guidance, the majority of the tests ordered were not only not necessary but not recommended. Maybe if I'd actually been able to see the doctor he could have explained to me why these were all being ordered. I was also informed by the PA that my recovery time would be in the order of eight to twelve weeks, that I should, in all likelihood, be able to play softball during the winter and possibly be able to participate in archery activities. Subsequent consults with other Orthopedic surgeons have revealed a very different picture, a recovery period much, much longer with none of those activities for a minimum of 16 weeks probably longer. If I'd actually been able to see the doctor and he gotten the scope of my hoped for activity level I might have gotten more accurate information. I also found it interesting that when given my surgical facilities options I found, after researching, that my out-of-pocket costs were several orders of magnitude higher than facilities, still accepted by my insurance but outside their recommended list. At any rate I went elsewhere. The new Orthopedic surgeon, whom I actually saw on the first visit, told me that I was not yet a candidate for surgery. He gave me a "directed" two shot cortisone injection and prescribed sports physical therapy along with prescription anti-inflammatory meds. So far so good. I may be putting off the inevitable but then again I may not, either way I won't be back to NOT seeing Dr Wallace and the Joint Replacement Institute. read more
