He gives plenty of direction in terms of body placement, posture, hand placement, etc. to give you flawless photos. If you are new to being photographed like me, you'll find this kind of direction extremely helpful and comforting. 2. At the same time, he creates a very calm, light, and fun atmosphere that creates true, genuine moments between you and your significant other. We are two people that usually feel very uncomfortable in front of a camera, however we had such an enjoyable experience with Allen. 3. I really encourage anyone using Allen's services to listen to his recommendations. For example, our original scheduled date was cloudy and overcast. He recommended that we wait for sun if we truly wanted to be happy with our photos. We are so grateful to have listened to him, because the results were wonderful (see attached). There are other photographers that will say that cloudy weather is actually better, however with Allen's technique and skill set, he can do incredible things with the light. I had a lot of hope from Melissa and her team, but my daughter's first birthday pictures were quite disappointing. I liked Melissa as a person but I didn't get what I had imagined in the pictures. Pictures were edited very poorly, moments weren't captured well, and we received quite a few pictures that were blurry. When you pay certain amount of money for photography, you expect the quality too. I am just starting to create an album for my daughter's birthday (which was in July) and I am even more disappointed than I was when I first received the photos back in July. I literally am editing every picture I have chosen for the album because either the lighting is off or cropping is done poorly or the quality is just overall mediocre. I imagine Melissa probably takes great portrait pictures (which she did a decent job with for my daughter's pictures) but not sure about active eventful photos.

I recently lost 40 lbs and wanted to feel reinvented, do something sexy, feel alive! I did some research and managed to find a couple of Groupon options. Everyone's work seemed played out and/or mundane. The typical pin-up style boudoir where the women attempts to be sexy while pumping gas in bright red lipstick and a bandana. Are guys really into that? Anyways, I quickly moved on to the next photographer on the list and immediately, I hit gold! Catherine Cooper's images more than peaked my interest. Her pictures told a story--as if you were watching a thriller with a crazy plot twist, and you're dying to know how it ended. I was so enthralled with her website and photos, I quickly scheduled a consultation with her. Cathy's punctuality and professionalism is what prompted me to schedule a photography session. She was so down to earth, pleasant, and impressively organized. She walked me step by step on how to prepare for my session as well as what clothes and hairstyles would work best for me. She wasn't pushy when it came to purchasing photo package upgrades and she didn't treat me like I was "just another client." She personalized my photo session with concentration on certain parts of my body that I wanted to showcase more than others. There's no one size fits all with Mrs. Cooper--every clients gets EXACTLY what they want... AND MORE! She provided makeup and hair services, as well as some light snacks during the session. The makeup artist was a doll…read more Although Catherine is wonderful with posing and photography her requirements were not consistent with her customers. After initially leaving a raving review she did not send me the picture she's stated she would send (in email). She also emailed my friend (whom gifted me the shoot). That she was requiring a $1000 by a set deadline before she would even edit my photos. I've never felt so judged in my life. This was not a "requirement" that was stated in the initial consultation with my friend prior to the shoot. I was not about to spend $1000 on pictures I had not seen. I am aware of the time Photography takes and how expensive it can be. This was not my issue at all. I do have a job and I do splurge on myself. One question she asked prior to my leaving is what were some initial fears I had. I mentioned to her that I am also a photographer (not professionally) and I am VERY PICKY about photography and I initially had a difficult time releasing all control to her. If you choose to use her be sure you are clear on ALL of the requirements. There are several Boudoir Photographers in this area. Do your research prior. I will be taking my money elsewhere.
