Nice, friendly and chill atmosphere on a Saturday morning. Small but pretty and clean space with quality Human Touch massage chairs, which seem fairly new... made me curious, and so nosy me... they've been here about 4 years. Pedicure is extremely thorough thus far, or maybe my feet need a LOT of work this time... my last Pedicure was before Halloween of 2020... lol. Lots of callus shaving and lotion massaging... footsies have sorely missed this pampering... ahh. For the manicure, nails have gotten long, better at maintaining these, but either my patience or polish are not good... texture resembles the moon and the cuticles can carry loose change. Splurged on a dip, brought my collection of powders in case their selection was limited to basic solids, which was accurate... unlike gels, I can't seem to replicate this process as easily, so I am going to see if the professionals can use my sparkling shades, else I have wasted a ton on Amazon and eBay in Pandemic boredom. Spoke too soon. The dip is decent but not perfect, and the skill of "Donna" is just adequate but a little clumsy, the layer of powder is thick, thus if you miss an area (ie. side or end of nail), there is a very visible "cliff" difference between the bare nail and the colored portion. I can live with it, but if this had been a standard $35+ price I would have demanded a fix. Groupon deal made it acceptable, but it will not be a regular nail maintenance place. read more

Came here for dip nails the day before my engagement and ended up with bleeding and infected cuticles in all of my pictures! Don't remember the name of the lady who did my nails but she was clearly in a hurry - nails were not soaked at all and she did my cuticles so aggressively and in such a rush that they started bleeding. Ended up with a nasty infection and some engagement pics that I will now have to redo. Not sure if I was treated like this because I had mentioned that I found them through groupon, or if this is just the normal there. Either way, I was very disappointed. Attaching a pic of my cuticles after I had finally gotten the bleeding to stop. FYI they dip your nails directly into the jar, which may have contributed to the infection as well. read more

I would give Joli Nails ten stars if I could. What a hidden gem. It's in a shopping center next to Athletico and across from Strawberry Fields. When I walked in all of the nail techs were busy but I got there early and was taken right on time. My nails were a mess. My pedicure was okay - not the best not the worst. But Helen the owner really worked her magic with my nails. I got tips because all my nails broke after 2.5 months of no manicure. I brought my own polish and dip powder. There were partitions between the nail tech and the customer for manicures. Harder to do that with pedicures. Helen washed and sanitized her hands several times. My nails look amazing and I will definitely return in three weeks! read more

I had a gift certificate for $120. I have been using it up until the pandemic. After May of last year, at the peak of when things were bad, I have not used it. There was $30 remaining on my certificate. I decided to finally go today and use it on a pedicure. They told me it was expired. They thought it was more important to pocket the money and hold fast to an expiration date when health guidelines were advocating for people to stay at home. Shame on them. I will not go back. Not only did they take my $30 today for the pedicure but they pocketed $30 from the certificate that did not get used. read more

Joli Nails is a hidden gem in Lincolnshire. Located at 430 Milwaukee Ave. it isn't visible from the street. It's in the same strip mall as Bonta, Athletico and Strawberry Fields restaurant. There's plenty of parking. Joli Nails is clean, inviting, tastefully decorated and has a relaxing atmosphere. They offer Zoya polish, which is less toxic than any other brand as well as Essie and OPI. The services are excellent and Helen, the receptionist as well as the operators are very accommodating. I highly recommend their manicures and pedicures plus they offer the best shoulder massages on the North Shore! They also offer waxing and chair massages. read more

The most terrible dip manicure i have ever gotten. The girl did not know what she was doing. How to take off my old dip manicure or how to put on new one. Was not following normal procedures. One nail cracked 3 days in. Another polish came off 5 days into . Polish also started changing color . This manicure normally lasts 3 weeks . Not even talking a out my nails she dis not clean my nails properly misshaped them. Im so mad that i went there ! Never again. Next time ill go without manicure an extra week she ruined my nails ill have to cut them shorter and grow them back. The skin around my nails and my nails look disgusting read more

This place has gone down hill. When they first opened, the people that work there were nice. There has always been a language barrier and it has not improved which leads to sighs or the technicians treating you like crap if you ask them to do anything that you like or anything that is different than what they want to do. They speak their language to the other techs when they are not happy with you or what you are requesting. It is obvious that they are making fun of you and it is very uncomfortable and sad. I wish there was a better salon where the techs were kind and respecftul. read more

DO NOT GET A DIP MANICURE HERE. I had a dip manicure and a pedicure here on 10/6. Allow me to walk you through how I arrived at 1 star. I wanted to give them 5 stars, the salon is cute, clean and they gave me a same day appointment, they don't use disposable liners for the pedicure tub so I gave them 4 stars. However 5 days later my 3 of my fingernails were chipped (dip always last 2-3 weeks). Now they are at 3 stars. I come into slam get my nails repaired 2 days later2 different nails break under the dip across the middle of my finger which is extremely painful. They don't know how to properly do a dip my nails were super thin. I would give them 0 stars if I could for loss of breaking my natural nails. read more

However the rude reception and the very rude way of asking me whether I made an appointment has now become routine when I walk into this salon, I haven't given them multiple opportunities to be more welcoming.
