Jolie was able to accommodate me right away and I was so pleasantly surprised I was able to find parking right in front of her studio. I found Jolie to be very smart, personable and extremely passionate about her work. Before getting to the actual session, we chatted for a bit: she got to know me and vice versa. She inquired what I did for a living, the purpose of the headshots and the impression I wanted to make with them. We then combed over the outfits I brought with me, analyzing the colors and the message the looks would send. The actual photo session was very relaxed. Her directions spoke to me and I sensed she wanted the real me to come out. The whole process was very natural. Jolie knows her craft and has a strong intuitive approach to her work. She had a great turnaround time on the retouching services. The photos were beautiful, extremely natural and of very high caliber. Unlike the masses in LA, I am not an actor (or is it pronounced "waiter"?). I'm also not particularly comfortable in front of the camera. In fact, there are few pictures of me from the age of 13 to 24 (for good reason - puberty is not sexy). However, even for us regular folk, headshot requests from prospective and current employers are becoming the norm. Jolie Kinga is fantastic. I read the reviews on Yelp today, contacted her right away and she was able to fit me in the same day. She's easy to get along with and the experience was fun, comfortable, and, even for me, enjoyable! No weird poses. No looking off into the distance. Just natural settings. I bought a professional headshot session for my boyfriend, an aspiring comedian. The pictures turned out AMAZING and Jolie was so personable. This post is a little late but much deserved- Sorry for not posting sooner Jolie. What can I say- We Love Jolie! She has rescued me several times now. I've scheduled at her studio and on location. At her Studio she had lighting and a backdrop set-up. She worked with my boss, and I along with another co-worker directing via FaceTime. That project had a very small time frame and she easily worked with our schedule. Immediately after that session she handed over the high-res images we needed. On Location my Boss told me that day- "Hey! We need a Photographer- now!" Aahhhh!!! I didn't know what to do and hoped and prayed that Jolie could make it and she did! I was so grateful. She came to the location in Downtown LA and did some photo journalism and a few shots we needed to submit to a contest. She stayed with us all day until the project wrapped. Both of my Bosses were there that day and we were all very grateful that she was able to stay and work with us for hours. Now for the images- they are awesome! As a massage therapist I haven't needed head shots or modeling photos, so my perspective is a little different, I know how passionate Jolie is about her work, I've seen her pour over hundreds of pictures, that to me looked the same, but she's able to scrutinize the subtle differences nuances of her work and get the most perfect image for that client. From location choices, to considering the clients personality, to just the brass tacks of their professional needs, she's a pro.
