Marc is the absolute best with kids (and grownups). He's been taking photos of my family for over ten years - and we've only had great experiences. I'm a total introvert and hate posing for photos but Marc brings out the joy in our family and captures it perfectly preserving it for us. The grandparents and extended family love his work as well and always are so grateful when they get access to all the photos. 5/27/2020 We were lucky to discover Mark through a friend as part of a fundraiser for NY Common Pantry (via gratifoodnyc.org). We have done quite a bit of family photos over the years, and Mark was hands-down the most easy going, efficient, and professional photographer we've worked with. He somehow got all 3 kids to smile. And had a perfect blend of directing shots (you could tell he has a very artistic eye) capturing candids and going with the flow. What a great experience! We hired Marc to take some family photos of us with our 14 month old son, and we had some pretty specific shots we wanted him to capture. He was willing to meet us at Prospect Park for the photo shoot, and he got so many incredible shots of us and our son (even our dog got in the mix!) as well as capturing the exact poses we were looking for. He made the whole experience so comfortable and easy, and even though I hate being photographed, he made it all so natural and relaxed that we were all at ease. He was great at making our son laugh and smile for the shots, as he is a father himself - he knows all the tricks! I shopped around for photographers for awhile and he was by far the best deal - also one of the only few who includes all the photos on a DVD. We were also working with a slight time constraint, and Marc was awesome about getting the prints to us in time. I can't say enough about how great he made this whole experience. After researching quite a few photographers, we hired Marc Goldberg to take newborn shots of our daughter. We wanted a more classic portrait look vs the cutesy sleeping poses dripping in flowers. We are so thrilled with both the photo shoot and the beautiful results. As first time parents he instantly made us feel comfortable during the shoot, 10 days postpartum. My husband is typically camera shy but had fun and lasted the entire shoot because of Marc's wonderful energy and great sense of humor. He made my newborn feel at ease and knew when we should take nursing breaks for her. Marc graciously shot for hours with us and listened to ideas I had while also adding his professional advice. (He also gave us the odd parenting tip when I asked!) I loved that Marc was so straightforward and honest with us. As a fellow parent in the neighborhood he does his business fairly, without trying to price gorge. A lot of the photographers we researched had a sitting fee and then charged for the photos. So you fall in love with more photos that you expect to and end up blowing your budget buying them all. We knew going in what the final price would be and we now own the photos outright - and he gave us tons! Marc's customer service is stellar. He delivered the photos quickly and when several months later I realized I wanted a couple of the photos that were sent in black and white in color, and he responded with the color shots within hours and was so nice and understanding. I would highly recommend hiring Marc for your baby and family shots. Marc is an absolute gem and we are so lucky to have found him!! We have done a family mini session with him for the past couple of years after Thanksgiving just in time for Christmas cards. He is not only inexpensive (you get a digital download of the session so you own all of the pictures), hysterical in person and practical by providing a quick, 30 minute session (key when you have small children), but we are ALWAYS shocked by how many AMAZING photos there are to choose from. He is extremely talented. My husband who historically hates these sorts of things doesn't complain anymore because Marc is so easy going, fun and efficient. Marc photographed our son's bar mitzvah and luncheon and was so pleasant and professional and fun to work with during the big day that my family and I joked afterwards that we almost didn't even care how the pictures came out, he was such a great guy and great stress reliever!
