They were quick to take me in as walk-in, and honest about whether they're able to replicate the nail art that I got from Japan. They don't have the expertise to do the nail art that I was looking for, but I'm pretty happy with the french tip that they're able to do on me. I'm incredibly disappointed in the services I received yesterday. I walked in at 1:30pm and requested a regular pedicure & to have my current acrylic set on my fingernails removed. I also wanted a regular manicure after. Someone else walked in after me and we both waited around 15 minutes before both being seated at the same time. My pedicure was done very quickly and effectively, I'm happy with those results. My fingernails are another story. They removed the shellac polish with a drill and then soaked my fingers in acetone. After a bit, they shaped my fingers a bit but did not remove the acrylics. Then I sat for over an HOUR without being worked on / spoken to / acknowledged while everyone focused on the two people who came in after me. Finally after asking if someone was going to finish my nails, someone came over and asked what shape I wanted. I said I wanted the acrylics REMOVED and was confused because they'd already been soaked in acetone so the integrity of the nails were already compromised. She soaked my nails in acetone again and then drilled them off. I said I just wanted a regular manicure. She did a horrible job filing my nails and absolutely tore my cuticles to shreds. Almost every nail was bleeding and they were all uneven. At 4pm, 2.5 HOURS after walking in, she was finally ready to paint my nails but I had to leave to go to work. I went to pay and she took my card and swiped it without telling me the price, and when I saw the receipt I was shocked. They'd charged me $100. I asked to clarify what the cost was. They said it was $35 for the pedicure, $20 for the nail removal, and $45 for the manicure. I asked to confirm it was $45 because I didn't get polish, they said normally with polish it would be $55. I was surprised, as I've never had a simple manicure with no bells or whistles (just file, cuticles, & lotion, no massage or anything) cost that much. I paid, tipped $10 on the receipt, and left. After walking a few feet I stopped and looked at my nails and saw just how bad they were and I turned around and went back and said I was very unhappy with the results. I thought I was getting some money back but instead she told me to cross out the $10 tip I left as a "discount" and wouldn't do anything else for me. $100 and 2.5 hours for horrible, painful, bleeding, uneven nails not even painted and a speedy pedicure is ridiculous. I came here recently and wanted a simple gel mani and pedi with chrome and the nail techs did an amazing job. The nail techs were very meticulous about cuticle care and asked me several times if that's what I wanted. The example I showed them looked exactly what I got. And the nail techs are all really nice. The shop itself is a no frills kind of shop. Not a whole lot to look at. You're in and out. Parking is all street parking so come a little early to look for it. It felt like her intention to use the amount I tipped to determine the quality of her service. I tipped with my card and yet she asked me to pay the tip in cash or Zelle instead. After getting pedicures here for years I sadly will never return after the experience I just had. I made an appointment for 10:30 and I arrive at 10:24 to see that all seats are full and no one is close to being done with their pedicures. They had me waiting 35 minutes! i think the negative reviews of this place are all the same and you should take them into consideration. this is nothing to do with the quality of nails. But they don't know time management. both times i've come i've made an appointment and both times have had to wait over an hour for the first time and right now im already waiting 45 mins. they are the only salon open in this area on sundays and i didn't have time to go to my normal salon during the week. I wasn't the only one either. both times ive seen ppl walk out and say out loud that they had an appointment and it's not fair. it's really not. if you know you don't have time then tell people no. if someone has an appointment at 4 and a walk in comes at 3:30 you say no to that person. it's not that hard. They do a good job, but it can depend on who's doing your nails. Me and my friend both went in together and got the same design (shellac with little hearts). I feel like the lady doing my friends was more experienced and thus the quality of her nails was better. Not a huge difference, but something you can notice when it's your own nails. I also feel like the polish I chose was old and was drying out, so it took her a lot longer to do my nails. Additionally their prices are pretty high and variable. A different friend of mine who went in the day before and got the exact same design was charged less than what we were charged. I probably won't go here that often because the prices are higher compared to other salons in the area, but $5-15 can be negligible to some people when it comes to nails, so I still recommend their work. read more

After paying $75 for nails, I went to give a tip under $10, which I felt was fair for my service. When I gave the tip I was then asked if I could give a 20% tip instead. Love the way my nails and feet look after, but I wish I liked my nails more. I've gone here a couple times in the last few years. My experience gets worse and worse with each visit. I come here for the convenience and not so much for the services. The shop is pretty much in the heart of the SU campus so I can see why it's usually bustling with customers. While the nail techs are super sweet, they are not transparent about wait times and setting an appointment does not help at all. You can still find yourself waiting a long time even if you make an appointment. I once made an appointment for a pedicure and was seated about 10 minutes after my appointment and was not served until 45 minutes after the appointment was suppose to start. The job is normally rushed due to the long queue of folks waiting and tools do not get sanitized properly because of it. The shop isn't that clean either and it can feel claustrophobic. I would only recommend this place if you're absolutely in need of a service. read more

I've been going to Jolie nails for several months now and have never been disappointed by the manicures I've gotten! I got really into fun nails for the summer and they've always been willing to experiment and do designs for me. The ladies are really kind and helpful and I always enjoy the experience. All of the nails I pictured are acrylic sets with gel polish, and I got tips added in the beginning because my nails were short. I've also gotten several pedicures and my eyebrows waxed as well and have been pleased every time! One thing to note is if you're going at a common time (right after work or midday on weekends) expect it to be busy. I have always done walk-in and the longest I waited for was 20 mins but usually they take care of me within 5-10 minutes. I've only done shellac mani and pedi and it has been great. They have so many colors and it has always been really great. They have lots of street parking all around. Let me just let you know that these ladies here work so hard and try their best to make everyone feel so welcomed. I never see them take breaks and they are always taking every customer that walks in without an appointment. Although I do recommend calling ahead to see how busy they are if you are very short on time. A shellac manicure usually takes 45mins to an hour and pedicure takes about 45mins to an hour as well and that's with no appointments. They also have a stamp card so don't forget to ask! read more

It's taken me a few tries to communicate what I like. Things to keep in mind: They are not the fastest salon so make sure you don't go in on a timeline. The one time I did that, my nails did not come out looking great because I had to hold them accountable to the time I needed to leave and they had to rush to finish.
