Sad to only give this place 2 stars but the lady doing my gel manicure clearly did not know how to make the Cat Eye design, see photos. Thankfully I only asked for two fingers but now both of those fingers just look like glitter. On top of everything else, it was the wrong glitter color I asked for too :( I probably would come back to this place because there was no wait for a walk in, but only for a simple mani/pedi. Or to get a full set of gel X with designs since it looks like they do a good job at that.

Friendly, attentive service. I had one reference photo and was very impressed by the execution. I think Thun was very professional and did a good job of checking in to make sure everything was looking like I wanted it to look. Pedicure was also good. They used a color changing gel polish which was a little crazy, but definitely made for a funny story. Would return!

I've stopped coming to this salon because I noticed that my nails were becoming more thin and weak. I used to get dip nails with tips because I cook and clean often at home and my natural nails (free edge) would always tear. I would get them done as a way to strengthen them/avoid pain, more so than for looks. I noticed over time my natural nails becoming weaker and thinner. I think this is likely due to the preparation and removal methods (extensive filing and peeling off old dip/tips with a spare tip to reduce soak off time). I get that they're a staff of two and can get quite busy (though I always called ahead for an appointment) but after I experienced a very painful split halfway through my nail bed, I decided to take a break and let my nails rest. That was a while ago and now my nails have fully grown out since the damage and are surprisingly healthy and strong. I've also changed up my nail care: - "nails are jewels, not tools"; trying to avoid using my nails for peeling labels, opening things, etc. - using jojoba oil on my cuticles at least once a day I've done more research on different types of nail services and am going to try Japanese gel and Apres Gel X in the future at a different salon, rather than dip.

Don't come here. I saw the gooreviews on yelp and tried calling for an appointment and no one got back to me after 3 calls. I walked in and one of the women took me (not the owner). Here's where things went wrong: She cut two of my fingers while trimming my cuticles. I asked for a gel manicure with white polish. The polish application was sloppy, and when I pointed it out - BEFORE putting my hand under the LED light, she told me to cute the polish and she would clean after. You can't clean after without cutting or filing once the Polish is cured. I listened to her and cured the polish and of course it looked terrible and she couldn't fix it once cured. So I told her I was unhappy with it and she took off all the polish with the drill, burned two of my finger nails in the process. I asked for a different technician and another girl came out and did my nails. She also did a mediocre job, and after the nails on my left hand didn't cure properly and the base coat was lumpy, she used the drill to sand down one nail and just painted the white polish thickly over the other nails to try and cover it up. The owner saw that I was unhappy and that the quality of the work was terrible. She took $5 off my bill and threw in a 5 min massage. Today I have an infection in the cuticle that the first technician cut and nails that look like they were painted by a toddler. Avoid this place and go anywhere else.

Shout out to my nail Tech, Thu! She is very sweet and pays attention to details. I am very happy with my nails, as far as the overall esthetic and execution. However, I do want to give an honest review as to why I didn't give the place 5 stars.... 1) They share tools between clients and don't disinfect anything which is unhygienic. Every single tool used on my nails was either being borrowed from an adjacent customer, or had the tell-tale chalky appearance that it was previously used and not cleaned. There's nail debris all over the tools, countertop, etc. As soon as you walk in, this is apparent. 2) There is a tv playing one this and loud music coming from a different source. The noise can be distracting at best. If those two things were resolved. This can honestly be one of the top nail salons in this part of the city.

I have so many good things to say about this place. It's a small shop so call ahead to check availability. They are punctual and honest about wait times and take appointments seriously. I got dip nails per recommendation and i love them so much. The technician took her time to file and shape my nails which I really appreciated. Really showcased her skills and I am really happy with the nail shape and color. She took her time and I didn't feel rushed. Great quality and would 100% recommend.

Loved my experience here! Being new to an area is scary because it means you have to find your new favorite salons. Decided to try out Sarah's because they had great reviews and are conveniently located to where I work. Tips: - Bring a mask - it's required! - For the smoothest experience, please call ahead to make an appointment!! So many people attempted walk-ins, but with only 2 nail techs staffed on a Friday at noon, they are constantly trying to tetris people in to their handwritten calendar. Be courteous and call ahead to make an appointment! - Bring cash, but card is accepted too. If paying with card, be prepared to verbally confirm how much tip you'd like to leave. Thu is very skilled, professional, and careful. I showed a few pictures of what I had in mind, and she absolutely slayed the smoothness and fine lines in the designs with her steady hand. She will recommend services that are in the best interest of your nail health. Salon is clean and you can see the tool sanitation station and they wipe down the stations in between use. They really make use of that small space - note that it is smaller and cozier than midsize salons, but I felt the price overall was very reasonable for the experience and quality of service. Will be back!

Thu has been my nail technician for about a year now, and she's the absolute best I've ever had. I switched from acrylic to gel builder, and I've never had my nails look this long before. Acrylic nails usually thin out, and I don't like the feeling of them. Gel builder is more durable, lighter, and lasts longer. read more

Stopped in for a shellac mani and regular pedi since I live nearby. They took me as a walk-in right away, which was great, but the space is pretty shabby, and I'm not convinced it's the cleanest. The staff were sweet and quiet, which I didn't mind My pedicure turned out great, but my gel manicure was rough - it was still tacky hours later, and had a messy streak on my thumb that I didn't notice until I got home. It turns out that my nail beds had taken a beating as well - two toes and a finger had small cuts to heal from being pushed too far from the finger. I did see the owner doing another appointment that looked fantastic, and they fixed another girl's peeling dip nails for free, but the fact that her dip peeled after one day makes me think the quality here is hit-or-miss. Convenient location, but I wouldn't go back. read more

Avoid this place. I wanted to give this place a try since it's close to my house. Big mistake! I wanted cat eye on my nails and they gave me some weird glitter nails, covered with what was supposed to look like cat eye but ended up looking like a line straight across all my nails in the same direction. When I asked for her to alter the finish so each nail did not look identical she just ignored me and seemed bothered by my request. Place is shabby, electrical cords hanging all over the place. Not sure who is rating this place so highly but there are far better places to get your nails done. read more

This was my first time at this salon. I called in advanced to make an appointment but when I arrived to the salon, they seemed very surprised. They didn't have an available nail station so they did my nails half of the time in the spa chair and the other half at a nail station (when one became available). Additionally, they did not clean my nails before putting on the acrylic nails, while old nail polish was still on my nail (which is still visible after getting my acrylics on). Lastly, the length and shape of my nails are either not even or crooked. I've been getting my nails done for many years at varying places but this spa has left me with the most disappointing experience. I would say the prices at this spa are very reasonable, however it seems you might be losing quality with the price point. Overall, very disappointed with my experience and have felt mislead given the overall good reviews this spa has received. read more

This was my first time trying the salon. I was looking for a place that did dip powder nails with tips. Getting my nails done is a special treat i give myself for special occasions like Christmas. I booked a week in advance, and followed up with a call to confirm a few days before. Yet there was still confusion when i got there at opening. I've had dip and tip done before. Love them for their durability, and long lasting quality. The woman who did my nails seemed to be rushing and failed to notice that 2 of the tips were slanting at an angle. They weren't busy and there was plenty of time. I mentioned it multiple times, but she just filed them more at the same angles. Also the dip finish was jagged on the edges and i ended up filing the rough ended down at home. It's been 4 days since i got them done and the polish has peeled up and off of 4 of my nails..... its not from filing, they came up from my base/cuticle of my nails, where i noticed extremely uneven top coat polish that didn't seal down or cover the polish. I'm not normally one to leave reviews, but to spend close to $70 for a service and have to now go try to get another top polish done to fix it for the holidays kind of sucks. I rarely get my nails done due to cost, and was hoping that they would turn out like some of the photos shared on the profile. read more

I got a really cute fill from here! They were quick and very nice, unfortunately my nails did break about a week after my visit but I am rough on my hands. Aside from that they were great! I would recommend for those who aren't rough with their hands! read more

I do not know how this place has great reviews I went here and the nail tech acted like she hated her job she didn't smile once and she removed my acrylic set extremely roughly and it was painful. I don't know if it was because I was black or not but the only time they smiled is when I was done and tipped 25% even though my nails look bad and as if I painted them myself. she did not use clean tools and key instruments that require sanitation were not sanitized . I will never go to this place again. my thumb nail hurts currently and I pray I don't have an infection read more

I recently had an appointment for a manicure and although I have only had pedicure's here, I thought it would be safe to get a manicure. Well, that was a BIG mistake. Lee-lee did my nails and I don't know what she did but the next day my nails felt weak and brittle. Within a week 3 of MY Natural nails broke. I cut all my nails off. I have had 2 different manicures at a different nail shop and my nails were just fine. IDK what she did or what she used on my nails BUT I will NEVER go back. I even gave a $15 tip (28%) This was an expensive lesson to learn. read more

Sara's mom does decent enough work. Every time I go, I ask for thick nails and she doesn't listen, they end up thick with gel polish and look ridiculous. They crack after one week each time and she began charging me more every time I went, which I tracked in my phone. The sister that works there cut my skin a few times and even if I call and request Thuy, she has still done my nails. Thank God I found another studio that does acrylics read more

I've gone here multiple times and I always walk away pleased. Such kind workers who always listen to detail and take great care of their customers. People always walk out with a smile. Happy with how my nails turned out! I had a great experience and service was excellent. My toe nails are not in great shape from skiing, one fell off actually. And she fixed it by putting a fake nail on top! Now no one can tell :) I think the owner and the other ladies were really sweet. I don't get my nails done ever because I know they would break with all the things I do, but it's my bday tomorrow! My experience was so pleasant, I would consider getting my nails done here more regularly. read more

I haven't been back to Sarah's Nail & Spa in a while, and feel like I need to update my original 5-star review as followed: 1. The main reason why I stopped going was because I started to notice that my nails were getting weak and brittle with every visit. I don't do gel and only get regular manis & pedis, and so after months of coming here (once a month minimum), my nails started getting weak and were white and peeling. I am not sure what exactly happened, but it only started once I started coming here regularly for a few months and I noticed in between polishes. 2. Reading through other reviews and I have to echo a similar sentiment - they need to do better in terms of cleanliness and hygiene. Tools must be cleaned/sanitized between usage and I've seen them re-use tools with newer customers who come in (after turning around a customer who finishes getting their nails done and has left). I definitely started to notice a downward trend once Sarah's became busier (which as a small business, good for them!) and they hired a new worker (who is definitely more gruff) and they started to focus on turning around customers to move onto the next while sacrificing their prior quality and customer care. I'm hoping that they address these issues sooner than later, otherwise, this won't be good for them in the long-run. Until then, now that my nails have fully healed and back to normal, I'm on the lookout for a new nail salon. Revised rating from 5 to 2 stars - 2 stars bc I have some faith that they can bring back the quality, cleanliness, and customer care back! read more

I really enjoyed my experience at this place. I scheduled an appointment day of. Didn't have to wait when I arrived. I showed them a picture of what I wanted and they recreated it beautifully. I did both a gel manicure and normal pedicure which took about 50 min total. read more

I'm not sure if this was a fluke as I only see positive reviews for this salon, but my shellac manicure chipped the very next day. It's been a week now and I have chips on 5 out of 10 nails. I ended up removing three nails entirely because the chipped nail polish kept snagging and chipping further. read more

The initial first half of my appointment was fine. Things shifted towards the second half of my appointment. I accidentally dipped my hands back in water after my nails were filed and buffed. The tech I was working with (Lily) seemed visibly annoyed with me. I felt very awkward for the rest of my appointment. After that happened, she was weirdly pushy and abrupt with my hands while curing the gel nails under the LED light. That wasn't even the worst part. During the gel application, I saw this girl wipe her cleanup brush with extra alcohol directly onto the granite countertop, then use the same brush directly on my skin to clean the excess gel on my hands. I have always seen techs here use a paper towel (or another white towel) for this. I was so grossed out. To top off this experience, the hot towel and hand massage at the end of my appointment was super rushed and not thorough at all. So disappointing. I hope this was a fluke, but sad to say I will probably be going elsewhere.

What's even the point of making an appointment if there won't be anyone to help you? Furthermore upon inspection I see the polish was sloppily applied, missing the edges on many toes by a lot. When I pointed out the issues, the technician couldn't understand me and called a man from the front desk to help translate. Instead of addressing my concerns, he told me he couldn't see any problems, that I was being "too picky," that nobody would notice from a distance, and that nobody is perfect. I understand that nobody is perfect, but as a paying customer, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect careful work and to have my concerns treated with respect. What disappointed me most wasn't just the quality of the nails, but the way my concerns were dismissed. I left feeling frustrated and disappointed.

The staff was patient, detail-oriented, and really took their time to make sure everything was just right. They listened to exactly what she wanted. The final result was beautiful, creative, and high quality--she absolutely loved her nails designs and couldn't stop looking at her nails. It's not easy to impress her, so that says a lot. We'll definitely be coming back!

I ended up booking an appointment and went back midday on a Monday. The ambiance is incredibly relaxing and feels much more like a full spa than a typical nail salon. I booked a mid-tier pedicure and it was amazing. When you arrive, you get to curate your experience from their herb, scrub, and tea bar - smelling everything and choosing your scents before even picking your polish. It's such a fun and thoughtful touch. The service itself felt truly luxurious. The massage was fantastic, the chair reclines fully, and I ended up dozing off with a heated eye mask and neck pillow. It really feels like you're being taken care of from start to finish. My nail tech was wonderful - she walked me through each step, explained what she was using, and was attentive the entire time. This is not your everyday pedicure - it's a full-on experience. I'll absolutely be back.

They go above and beyond in making you feel comfortable and happy and it's consistent from every employee that interacts with you. The interior is very modern and impeccably clean and well kept. I got the Little Mekong River pedicure and I will say hands down this is not just a pedicure, it is a spa EXPERIENCE. You start by choosing different aromas and flavors for oil massage and then choose flavors for the herbal soak. They'll later boil that tea into a container and pour it into the tub so you can soak your feet in it. After the nail cutting and feet repair, they lean you back on the chair almost at a lying position and give you a luxurious warm heavy eye mask, a warm neck pillow and proceed to give you a relaxing massage on your feet, legs and neck. They also have a steamer near your feet area and apply a patch to detox your feet. I had the pleasure of having Joyce work on me and she's so serious about making this an unforgettable experience. I'm definitely coming back again and again and recommending my friends and family to try experience out!
