He did a great job cleaning around my nails. I went in for a get fill and got an acrylic fill with gel color but I like it. Like the artwork also. (I was stood up a another salon and had to go somewhere that takes walk ins). The cost was $22 less than another salon close by. If this lasts 2 weeks I will go back. Went here because I saw the great reviews and decided to check it out since it's close by. Honestly terrible experience. Asked for a gel manicure and a pedicure, pedicure turned out great and I liked the lady who did it (wish I caught her name). Gel manicure was terrible. The lady was insulting me the entire time and saying that my hands/nails were too small to do and no one could do them. Which is simply not true since I've been getting my nails done my whole life. She then got an attitude when I said I didn't want acrylics because I'm trying to take care of my natural nails better. She did a terrible job painting them and they honestly look a mess. I've done a better job doing my own nails. When we were done I paid but definitely didn't tip which I know she was not happy about. All in all bad experience. read more

Patty has been doing my nails for about 2 years now and does an excellent job. She takes her time and it shows in the end results. I get SNS dip manicures, and the entire process usually takes around an hour and a half for removal and reapplication. Getting my nails done consistently has allowed my nails to grow longer than they ever have before. So many color options for regular polish, shellac, and dip. The salon is fairly no-frills but bright and kept clean (and they use plastic liners for their pedi tubs). Sometimes appointments aren't kept exactly on time, but I've never had to wait too long. Patty is also amazingly understanding about fixing my chips on the few occasions I've broken a single nail and just need a quick fix. In terms of cost, dip removal and color change is $48. read more

I was serviced 1.12.21. This review is for both MC Nails and Beauty Nails as they have used both. Either way the address and phone number is the same and you will still get "Patty" the owner. I had not gone to get my nails done since the pandemic and saved what money I did have by learning to do acrylics myself from home. I came in after reading good reviews under the Beauty Nails name on Yelp. There were only a few yet good ones from a couple of Yelp Elites. The hours said they were open as early as 9am, so I arrived right at opening yet it was closed. So then I called. She didn't update her hours on Yelp. She comes in later now and a previous review mentioned about her struggle with time management. Sure enough after agreeing to give her an hour and come back (which meant paying Lyft again since I don't drive and I explained this) she asked for an extra 20 minutes. I still gave her longer than that just in case. When I arrived she had on a mask, took my temperature, and showed me where to wash my hands as far as following Covid protocols. I definitely appreciated this part! She had a sign outside and the prices were written on pieces of paper covering the previously printed prices but the numbers were somewhat worn off from being out in the sun pre-covid era obviously as it was closed. While I was sitting and getting my hands prepped and I had seen another sign (this time entirely handwritten) posted directly on the plexiglass in front of me with a new set of RAISED prices. The acrylics price had gone up to about twice as much at $50! She said it was because of prices of her products going up. She should've told me on the phone when she asked me to come later and even texted me also. She never once mentioned prices going up. I said right away when I first spoke with her that I HAD MY OWN COLORS. While starting to work on my nails another customer came in and she started working on her instead. I was not in a hurry and there to relax and the customer was chatting with me as we were the only ones. I let it go and waited just sitting there with tips glued on and still really long since they were not cut yet. When she came back to my hands she went right for the topic of me having been practicing my own acrylics during the lockdowns that she heard me discussing with her other customer. She had an attitude about it carrying on about how that takes years to learn and telling me what I didn't know about it without asking what I had learned and practiced so far. I mean REAL sensitive about it. I was understanding that it's a sensitive time for business and she hadn't really had any. So I chose to respond kindly as I had been. I stated that regardless of the surge of women doing their own nails now due to covid (even though teens have been posting these tutorials online since before covid) that I'll still go and get my nails done sometimes. When talking to me she was snippy instead of happy and friendly. She admittedly got close to my cuticles hurting them a bit with the drill at one point telling me that's how to do it. She DID apologize for taking the other customer after already working on me but when halfway done she LITERALLY clapped her hands together one time while saying, "Now let's talk PRICE!!" There was no "talk" with me, only fees. She looked at my hands and her work done thus far flipping my hands back and forth. Said, "Hm..." to herself and wrote $58 ($8 more than her second hand written sign of changed prices). Then continuing to talk only to herself and not me said, "No that's wrong. It'll be $60 even." Then ASKED if I would tip! She still wasn't even done yet! I still gave a generous $10 tip as she has not had business from being closed. However that $2 boost she gave herself was really a tip too as a $2 difference definitely isn't going to make or break your nail salon staying in business. I already had in mind that I wouldn't be spending more than $60 for an acrylic full set especially because I brought in MY OWN COLORS and I wasn't even sure if wanted any designs at all because none were displayed. One of the nail colors and the top coat I brought in said gel and I told her. She said it's extra for gel. I had to pay an ADDITIONAL $8 in a separate SECOND charge to my card bringing the total to now $78 just for a fresh full set of acrylics WITH my own colors. She took RUBBING ALCOHOL (used in polish removers) to wipe over the top coat after curing it and was shocked that it wiped the nail polish COMPLETELY OFF. She said it's because my colors were not gel yet nail polish removers have alcohol in them. She fixed it insisting I use her top coat this time instead and then used the a hand dryer that looked old and one was broken. Most of her tools looked older. She FINALLY turned on some music as I left. She voided the $8 charge for gel but still no refund 2 weeks later. Last week the top coat started peeling and my skin started peeling too. I've gotten them redone elsewhere now for half the price. read more

patty has been doing my nails for 4+ years now, and is by far the most thorough and detailed manicurist i've been to in seattle. i typically get a dip set, and they're long lasting - sometimes i wear the same set for over 4 weeks - the grow out is barely noticeable, and her work doesn't chip, split or fade. since moving away, i've seen patty less often, and i sincerely miss her work - i stop by every time i'm in the city b/c i know i won't get the same care and attention elsewhere. read more

This is by far the best nail salon I have ever gone to. Patty and her staff are attentive to every detail, and your nails will look and feel the best they have ever been.
