The day prior to our trip 6/26/2023, we received a video of the vehicle from salesman Jose. We also exchanged several text messages and phone calls with the salesman, Jose. I also spoke to the "manager" regarding an upcoming appointment to have everything checked over on the vehicle prior to our arrival. During all of the above communication exchanges we were assured that the vehicle had no issues and was in perfect working order. The dealership claimed to have had a local mechanic check it over on the morning of 6/27/2023. They again assured me that the mechanic said the vehicle had no issues. I asked ahead of time for the dealership to get a receipt from the mechanic with the inspection information, but one was not shared. Upon arrival at the dealership, at 2:00 PM on 6/27/2023, my son and I began looking over the vehicle. My son was planning to buy the vehicle to take to college in the fall. My son began looking over the outside of the vehicle and me inside. He immediately spotted what appeared to be fresh paint on the frame near the rear wheel well. He used his thumb to push in the area, where he saw the fresh paint & much to his surprise he pushed right through the frame with his thumb. He was able to easily remove the attempt from the dealership to cover up the fact that the frame of the vehicle had holes in it. (posted image) I am so glad that my son discovered this before #1 he drove the unsafe vehicle 350 miles back home & #2 before the business had his hard earned money. The salesman, Jose, came out during this time, but said nothing upon us discovering this. He just looked at his phone. This business is selling unsafe vehicles, and is trying to cover up potentially dangerous features in vehicles. My son and I chose to leave the business immediately. Shortly after, I sent a text message to Jose asking for his manager to call me, but he did not nor was the text responded to. This business needs to stop selling dangerous vehicles!

My son and I purchased a car from this business in July. We realized quickly after we got it home…read morethat we had not checked to make sure the back doors opened and the passenger rear door would not open. It had hardware sitting on the floor. We called and the dealer said they realized they had not completed that repair and had the parts to take care of it so we scheduled a time to have it done. My 19 year old son took the car in to have it repaired. They only fixed it so it opened from the inside but not from the outside. I called them and spoke to Wally, the manager, and he said he had fixed it. I said no, he did half the job and it was dangerous in an emergency situation to have a door that doesn't open. He said he would take care of it and get back to me when the parts were there. I called on 7/20 for an update, he said he would call back. I called on 7/27, 8/9, 8/16, 8/21. He's blowing me off 100% and I am frustrated. Do not buy a car from this dealer. The customer service is appalling.

Good guys and decent deals…read more I bought a car recently from Gerald and I couldn't be happier. They're in Joliet and I'm closer to Chicago, so it took me over an hour to get to them. I found the car I wanted on Autotrader first and before even driving down to look at it I had extensive conversations with Ray and Fred to work out all the details. Once we agreed on price and everything I drove down for the test drive and drove off with it. They're a small dealership so you aren't going to be amazed by some fancy office, but at least you feel like they are treating you right.
