    Dog on trail

Jollene is a dog whisperer! She trained our puppy Scout this year. He's my fifth golden retriever and thanks to her he's my best behaved by far!! They were all sweet dogs but often stubborn or anxious or overly food oriented. Scout is none of those things thanks to Jollene. Everyone is amazed by his perfect behavior. He walks by our side throughout the neighborhood and on trails with no leash! Comes, sits, lies down on a single command. No jumping, no mischief. He knows who's the leader and acts accordingly. He's calm and playful and sweet and we're so grateful!!!

Jolene did unbelievable job training us and our hunting lab, who is a wonderful family dog. We started when he was about 5months old, and he is turning into an extraordinarily well behaved and obedient 14month old retriever. He knows his place during dinner and never touches any food on the table or counter. Jolene continues to support us on our journey of dog ownership. Highly recommend her for training and boarding.

Jollene's work with our new pup Rocky truly transformed his behavior and enhanced our love for our newly added fur baby. Jollene started training Rocky at around 4 months old when he was biting, peeing and pooping inside, wouldn't walk well on a leash, etc. My husband was starting to have buyers remorse. After Jollene's program Rocky has had zero mistakes inside the house, walks to my side without a leash, has great recall, and is just the sweetest puppy. Jollene helped Rocky and my family. In addition to training Rocky, Jollene also watched Rocky when we went on our annual vacations. My heart was at ease because I knew he was not only in great hands, but that he loved Jollene.

My 2 year old 10lb Havanese would not be The dog he is without Jollene's training. Jollene worked with us and not only is he well trained but he knows how to play with other dogs no matter the size. Considering our last dog did not like other dogs this is remarkable that Leo is so in love with other dogs. Proof that the parent can change if they trust their dog and thank you Jollene for that trust. We miss you and your wonderful ways

Jollene is absolutely amazing with dogs! We found her through recommendations and after our Shepadoodle was trained by Jollene as a puppy, I can't count how many people have asked for "my" dog trainer because our shepadoodle is sooooo well behaved! We can now bring our dog everywhere, on leash and off leash. She is friendly towards other dogs, has NEVER destroyed anything in our house, never chewed any items that isn't her own toys, etc. We can even put a hot dog in front of our dog and she knows not to touch it until we specifically tell her she is allowed! Jollene's approach to dog training is clear and professional through the entire process. She was able to work with everyone in our family (from young kids to adults) teaching us how to continue to work with our puppy. We love Jollene and so does our shepadoodle and that really shows how good she is. She is like a second mom to our fury family member! We are forever grateful that we found Jollene and you will be too!

If I could give Jolene 10 stars, I would. Let me start by saying, we have the most well trained dog and I get comments about how wonderful he is almost everyday. We hired Jolene to help us with our Sheepadoodle and basic manners, like come, stay, sit, and most importantly walking off leash. My husband is a runner and really wanted to run with him without holding a leash. And now we walk him off leash almost 100% of the time. He stays in our yard and is quite obedient all because of his time with Jolene. We sent him away for a couple weeks with her and then had sessions together afterwards as well. Jolene knows what it is to understand each and every dog. We knew she really understood him and his personality. She showed us she loved our dog and wanted our dog to be successful. I am so very thankful for Jolene and she is an incredible talent when it comes to training dogs. I am thankful everyday- our dog is a better dog for his time spent with Jolen!

Miracle dog whisperer. I adopt dogs, I never buy puppies. It's a personal choice I have friends that buy beautiful smart puppies from reputable breeders. I just try to take the ones that are already here and need homes. When you adopt a dog, sometimes there's issues.. My 75 pound golden-doodle was a demand barker, will bark endlessly for attention because he was left alone in a field all day until I I adopted him at 7 months old. He missed a lot of crucial dog socialization. He was very off-putting to other dog owners at the dog park because a big barking dog looks dangerous or annoying.. Jolene did a fantastic job training him to listen to commands and stop being a total spaz.. he has a lot of energy and was very hard to control. He pull on his leash and would knock me down. She remedied all that.. when Moose was two I adopted a labor doodle that is 80 pounds so he'd have a friend, Marley. Marley has Addison's disease, and is a very chill dog. Jolene was more than happy to add him to the mix, fine tune him, and take care of him giving him daily pills when we traveled. She has trained a lot of our friends dogs. Everyone loves her, including the dogs. Literally the woman is a god-sent. Great personality, easy to work with always a joy to see her. Lucky you and your dogs who get to work with her!

Regarding my pup contracting Giardia--I already stated in my original review that I understand parasites are common and my puppy was probably more susceptible, so I wasn't placing blame on the facility. Just a warning that these things happen. However I would like to point out that my dog did not go anywhere else besides home and their facility (since theyre insinuating that it could've been contracted elsewhere). Additionally, the fact that Furrtropolis requires a negative fecal test every 6 months is a warning in itself that any dog could be carrying a parasite between that time, so this requirement isn't full proof. This is just the nature of daycares and boarding facilities, and it wasn't the sole reason I decided we wouldn't be returning. 2. Regarding kennel cough--again just spreading the warning of what my dog experienced coming back from the facility. I'm fully aware they don't have control over the health of every dog that enters. 3. Records show that we were in contact, because as I stated in my review, I would have to continously badger the staff in order to get any updates. Yes, responses were prompt but that wasn't the issue. It was getting updates to begin with, without me having to reach out on the 4th day of boarding to ask how things went. I've seen other boarding places have cameras or provide daily updates (on meals, training sessions, nap time, etc)--totally fine if this isn't one of those places and you're a dog parent that doesn't mind. It's just not for me. *I also want to clarify that I directly expressed to the staff multiple times of wanting more communication/updates and it not being met before I came to yelp* 4. This just further proves my point on the poor communication from this facility, the fact that I wasn't made aware my pup might have had a decrease in appetite or activity level is serious alarm bells. Both of those things would indicate to me that something is off since my dog normally has endless energy and a black hole for a stomach. At the very least, a simple update that my dog just finished his additional 1:1 training session/1:1 play session that I paid extra for would've been nice. My dog is the love of my life and I'm sure other pet parents feel the same. It's important for me to share my experiences to provide insight for others and so the business can improve for others.

Shortly after we adopted our puppy, Nakini, a very energetic terrier and working dog mix, we realized that her initial training was a bit beyond our ability to handle on our own. We sent Nakini for an initial 10-day board and train program with Wild Things, which gave her a solid foundation of helpful skills that we could continue to build upon after she came back home. Mikayla has been really in-sync with our training goals, helping Nakini develop valuable tools to temper her high energy in a sustainable and positive way. At the end of her board and train program, Mikayla also did a training session at our home to help reinforce what Nakini had learned with her. Beyond the initial board and train session, Mikayla has continued to support us by providing a welcoming and enriching boarding environment during longer family trips. Nakini has greatly enjoyed each stay with Mikayla and Saturn, benefiting from time spent with her earliest trainer and reinforcing the foundation Mikayla built, all while having lots of fun. We are about to book another boarding session with Mikaya, and have peace of mind knowing that Nakini will be in great hands while we are away. Mikayla's patience, skill, and deep understanding of dog behavior have made a lasting impact on Nakini's progress. We truly appreciate her guidance and wholeheartedly endorse her to anyone looking for attentive and effective dog training. Most sincerely, Patrick & Zoe (& Nakini)

When I got back to pick up my dog, they told me it all went well so I promptly paid and left. It wasn't until 10 minutes into the car ride where I noticed he was pawing his snout and acting strange. When I had a closer look, my dog had a hole on his snout that was starting to scab over with puss coming out of it. Now here is the thing, I completely understand that things happen with dogs and I cannot blame wedogcare for the puncture. But how was it possible that I paid for a service for him to be watched for 4 days and NOONE knew what happened. I immediately drove back to their location to inform them and complain. The wound was scabbing over, so it was not fresh. My poor dog was hurt for god knows how many days, and noone noticed that he was injured? What did they do? Absolutely nothing. They offered me a refund on the grooming service. The best part... my dog was not groomed during his visit. This goes to show how well your pets will be watched at wedogcare, and how much attention they really are giving them. My dog had to get stitches on his face and wear a cone for 2 weeks. Wedogcare told me that the manager would call me to follow up to see if they could "make things right". It's been over a month and no call. I paid $240 for my dog to not be watched; an additional $1,100 vet bill later and no refund or complimentary services offered. All in all, the money does not mean anything to me. I will never use this service again as I just feel so bad my poor dog went several days injured with noone to care for him. Wedogcare, you should be ashamed!
