Finally got around to dining in - had Jollibee a few times as delivery. It was pretty clean and bright inside, with decent noise control. Service was very quick and efficient. The Pineapple quencher was so good / I would return just for the juice haha. - Peach Mango pie was warm and the center wasn't overly sweet so that's a plus! Spaghetti had a nice sweetness to it, however temperature wise, it leaned towards lukewarm - which was okay, but definitely could have been warmer. The chicken itself, flavor was okay - however I think the batter could have been coated more, as it lacked a proper crunch - and in terms of the spicy piece, to me it was not spicy , way to mild in my opinion. read more

Hey, I finally made it to a JOLLIBEE CHICKEN outlet. This is kinda like the Asian KFC with added interesting options for sides. I mean who pairs fried chicken with spaghetti. My order of coarse was fried chicken. 3 crispy tenders plus a juicy drumstick. I favor the drumsticks myself due to the heavy grease / juice content oozing from each bite. Tenders were delish but lacked juice... Yet the sauce and tenders was an excellent combo so take note. I had a few sides and if you need to know they were mash potato's & coleslaw. Mmmmmm good! Ordering was simplistic & efficient! Short girl gave me a vibrating disc for when my order was ready. The buzz happened and a tray of food was handed to me. It's a bit too crunchy (big difference from crispy) than I like my chicken, and this one was bordering on hurting the roof of my mouth, but the size of the filet made me very happy. I finally get the chance to try the Jollibee in Vancouver. It has been a long wait, in every way. We waited a couple of years since the first announcement it will be here. Then the line to enter the store when it finally opened. Now the line is not snaking past the door if you get there at the right time but it is still a wait for the food to be ready after ordering. I was lucky that it took about 5 mins for my order to be ready. The buzzer worked. I actually got my food ahead of others who ordered before me, probably because my order was small. I also went before the weekday lunch rush. My coworkers said it could still be at least an half hour wait during lunch. I did not know there was no dine in option. There was a bench by the door where I saw a customer eating his burger. No tables. Utensils have to be requested. So I had my food to go and had to pay for the paper bag ($0.25). I would have brought a bag if I knew. I went for the 2 pc chicken and mashed potato. It was so good, very similar to those I had in Asia. The chicken was juicy and tender and so flavorful. The mashed potato was good too. I also bought the banana langka (jackfruit) pie. The crust reminded me of McDonald's apple pie in the 90s. Crispy outside with hot fruit filling. The filling did not ooze out which made it less messy to eat. It reminded me of the dried banana chips. It had more of a banana taste than the jackfruit. Now that I know how the ordering system works here, I may just order online and pop over to pick up in future. Not sure if it will shorten the wait though. I got the mango pie and it was ok. I still prefer their fried chicken. I do find the Seattle location to be tastier. The restaurant has no seats. It is super small. After ordering, you are given a buzzer and it will buzz when the food is ready. I prefer to eat the fried chicken at the restaurant and especially when you have to take it to somewhere else or home to consume it, it is no longer fresh and the outer skin is usually no longer crispy. Finally had a chance to try this place after hearing about it for years from my American friends. Parking here is basically nonexistent. Best to walk here instead. There is no seating here. Instead, the entire interior is one giant lineup area, much like an amusement park ride. My friends and I snaked our way to the front and placed our orders. I was given a remote buzzer thing to hang onto which was nice, as it meant we could wait outside. As I wasn't sure what to order, I had the chicken sandwich and peach mango pie. Pricing is a bit steeper than the competition. To be honest, I was wondering how the chicken sandwich compared to Popeyes, and how the pie compared to McDonald's. The chicken sandwich was unfortunately quite lacking compared to Popeyes. The meat and bun were smaller, and it simply wasn't as fluffy. The pie is pretty tasty. It's deep fried (similar to McDonald's in Asia), and tastes exactly as it sounds. Decent amount of filling. Personally I'd skip the chicken sandwich but wouldn't mind having the pie again. We waited around 40 minutes in line for Jollibees on Friday. 20 minutes to get to the door. Once your past the door someone will take your order and then you pay up front. The food comes out really fast after this part. We had the 6 piece bucket, fried chicken burger, yumburger set with fries and pineapple quencher and peach mango pie. 6 piece bucket - tip get it with half spicy and half original if you want to try both. The chicken is super crispy and light. Not overly oily and the inside is juicy. Would get again Yumburger - dry, the bread is disappointing - I would avoid this Fries - crunchy and tasted like potatoes but wouldn't get again. Has an oily after taste Pineapple quencher - surprisingly refreshing. Thought it would be overly sweet but it isn't. It helps wash everything down. Very addictive. Would get again Peach mango pie - super crunchy outside. The inside tastes almost like baby food. I like the outside as it wasn't too oily but not a fan of the filling. Wouldn't order again Fried chicken burger - chicken is not the same as the fried chicken. Not as juicy kind of dry. The bun is the same as the yumburger so again very dry. There's a parmesan flavour to the sandwich. Not very crunchy chicken almost chewy exterior. The sauce didn't do anything for it. The closest Jollibee to Metro Vancouver has been 3hrs away since like forever, located @ Westfield Southcentre Mall in Seattle ... I kid you not! Someone's got some splainin to do!?! Chicken is in hawt demand here all of a sudden. Metro Vancouver has been inundated with chicken joints vying for your cash claiming to offer the best chicken, so choose wisely! It's a wonder how KFC & Church's Chicken have withstood the competition battling on & survived decades later!? There is another maze of a line inside but someone takes your order on an iPad so you can just pay in front and then wait for your meal. Take out only still. The chicken was tasty and juicy. I wasn't impressed with Jollibee at all! We ordered: - 6 pieces of spicy chicken - a serve of spaghetti - a serve of palabok Total was about $35. The chicken was okay although the sprinkled spices was awkward. It seemed sweet, so I assumed it had sugar or sweetener, which I disliked. The palabok, which is a rice noodle dish was unpalatable. The sauce/gravy was not only bland but it wasn't even enough; and the serving was very stingy. I was so disappointed because this dish is well known for having eggs and good gravy. The portion of eggs for this was barely even a quarter! 2 thin slices and that was it. I regretted ordering it! The spaghetti was decent. I don't think it was worth the price but it had some flavour. The best food was really just the gravy! Would I go back again? Personally, I don't think this place is worth it and I am very unlikely to go back. I've had Jollibee before in other countries and felt this was average. There's a lot of hype around this fried chicken place. I thought it was relatively expensive for fried chicken for a fast food chicken chain. The chicken is also just cooked which makes you feel unsure whether it's fully cooked. I tried spicy and regular. And would definitely recommend the spicy over regular. The skin is both crispy and good but for combos they give you a lot of drumsticks. Boooooo. I didn't ask if I could have different chicken pieces though. The gravy was legit. And the peach mango is 1000 over the banana but that's personal preference. Definitely would not recommend lining up for this. I walked in and there was no line and it was super quick. Only took 10 mins from order to serving. The line at Jollibee was finally reasonable enough to head over. The wait was short and ended up taking 20 minutes or so as opposed the the usual 1 hour plus line. Compared to other fast food chains, Jollibee is at a higher price point and we wondered if it was worth the hype. We got a few of their menu items to try out to get a good idea of what they had to offer. Spicy fried chicken - very seasoned and spiced so that you had a little bit of heat in each bite. The outside of the chicken had crispy skin and the inside was juicy. Original fried chicken - not as seasoned or flavoured as the spicy version. I would probably choose the spicy one over the original because there was a lack of taste. Yum burger - The burger sauce was sweet and tangy at the same time but the burger patty and bun was so dry that it made it difficult to want to go back for another bite. Would not recommend Spaghetti - The tomato sauce was more on the sweet side than the savoury. An interesting version of spaghetti and great for those who enjoy sweeter tastes. Peach pie - These had a very crispy pastry on the outside and filled with gooey syrupy peach sauce on the inside. Strong in peach flavour but a little sweet for our taste. All in all, we aren't sure if it's worth the hype of a longer wait. read more

The line up was surprisingly efficient! When you line up to order you then receive a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready for pickup. For the fried chicken you get an option of side and I opted for the rice as it will go perfect with the gravy and chicken! And was I right! The chicken was very flavourful and crispy and I think the key was the gravy! It made everything taste soo good! The peach mango pie is fried pie with the bubbly fried outer shell and has a filling that is on the sweeter side. Overall a good alternative option when you are craving fried chicken!! read more

So I can't say much about the ambiance and lineup etc. I've been to the Philippines a few times and had Jollibee there, so my opinion might be a little biased. First thing, the Yum Burger. Since I first tried Jolibee in the states I have not been able to eat fried anywhere else. The best chicken and being Asian and growing up with rice, the rice and gravy is like going home. The first time I tried Jollibee was in Edmonton, located directly right across the street from the West Edmonton Mall and I wanted to see if it live up to its hypes. Let's just say the spaghetti met the the garbage can. Fast forward it to this new location in downtown Vancouver that's recently opened. I was hoping it will be a different experience and every businesses deserve at least a second chance. Decided to come by this place since I was done shopping at Pacific Center, there's no parking for this place so it's good I parked at PC and just walked over here. There were no lineup outside but there's about a 30 minute lineup inside. There were no tables or chairs inside so it's literally a take out fast food because they used all the dining space for the indoor for lineup, you take it home and pray it may still be edible. This already gave me the impression how much they care about their customers besides the money. After lining up for more then 15mins finally figured out how to order online for pickup to by pass the indoor lineup. Here were what I ordered, picked it up in a sealed paper bag, back to the car but couldn't eat it cause they forgot the Utensils. Microwaved and ate them when back home later at night. 1. 2 pieces Jolly crispy chicken with mashed potato's and a Pepsi fountain drink. The chicken were dry and the mashed potato tasted like powder potato mix. 2. 1 small gravy. Average, I like gravy so nothing bad to say about any gravy unless they are beyond bad. 3. 1 jolly spaghetti. The sauce was disgusting sweet, tasted like a cup of sugar syrup on top of the spaghetti, sorry but went to the garbage can again after 2 bites. Not so jolly! 4. 1 peach mango pie. Surprising pretty good, I could eat a couple of these. 5. Utensils and napkins. Noted on my order but forgot them. Well let's be straight forward, this is absolutely not Filipino food nor represent Filipino food in any way, maybe with a Filipino twist that's it cause of its overly sweet pasta sauce on the spaghetti. This is a borrowed North American fried chicken fast food concept and became a success in the Philippines. Now my question is, if you take a North American fast food concept and put a Filipino twist to it so it can fit the taste buds of the locals in the Philippines. Then why when you bring the same concept back and not bother putting 2 cents on adjusting the taste a bit so it fits the locals you are serving here? I believe all businesses do adjustments to fit the taste of the locals wherever they expanded to? Sorry to say, this is 2022... there far too many good fried chicken places everywhere and seems like more to come.
