Front office staff, good work, suggest offering more approachability. Harold Neuendorff is one of the best OTs in my opinion. He is experienced, knowledgeable, and he cares. Hands-down, get him as your OT if you can. Paloma is a newer OT there and she is really good also. I have developed a chronic stiffness problem due to overly happy scar tissue inside my hand, fingers and wrist. I go to therapy twice a week and do exercises on my own three times a day. Harold and Paloma provide expert exercising of my fingers and wrist and are always encouraging regarding my slow but steady progress. Thank you!

The 1st one was TNHHS Team Nurses Home Health Services, Inc. They gave me the runaround on the phone all day Monday & Tuesday no one ever called me to schedule my wound care or PT. By end of day on Tuesday I called my primary doctor office to get a new referral for home support. Wednesday morning I called the new referral authorization they said they did not have the authorization yet even though I gave them the number. My father was diagnosed of stage IV throat cancer at City of Hope in June 2014. Due to insurance…read moreissue, he had to be transferred to his local doctors for intense radiation therapy and chemotherapy after their tumor board decided on his treatment plan. His health deteriorated but he was able to pull through it all and recovered. A year into his recovery, he tragically started smoking again. His throat cancer then returned and the tumor was growing much more rapidly this time around. His previous doctor referred us to an ENT physician at Riverside Community Hospital. My father and I met with this resident surgeon who conducted himself in the utmost incompetent and uncertain way and advised us that he and and other three resident surgeons would do laryngectomy on my father. My father couldn't even be convinced that the surgery would make him recover again. During this time, my father's shortness of breath worsened everyday to the point he felt suffocated. He was on so many medications and had to carry oxygen tanks with him all the time. It was emotionally painful and unbearable to be around and see him suffer. His conditions worsened and he started to be in and out of emergency room. Eventually ER doctor had to perform tracheostomy and my father stayed in ICU for a week. He was then sent to a rehab center for recovery. Upon his discharge, we managed to find a new ENT doctor, Dr. Carvalho in Hemet. Dr. Carvalho finally referred us to Dr. Steve Lee at Loma Linda University Medical Center for laryngectomy. I wrote all the above because I want people to know that my family has seen a lot of doctors ranging from top notch City of Hope dctors to resident surgeons in community hospital. If you manage to find Dr. Lee at the very beginning in your journey, you should know how truly blessed you are, and you should look no further. It took us a long and painful journey to get to him. In January of 2017, Dr. Lee and his team performed laryngectomy and throat reconstruction for my father. The surgery was a success and my father has since then been cancer free and he is able to speak with his voice prothesis. Everyone in the family including myself thought we were about to lose my dad sometime before his laryngectomy, but he has recovered and started a new life. All of this is because of the beyond exceptional care he has received from Dr. Lee and his team. Dr. Lee is warm and genuinely caring. He's calm, reassuring and pleasant to be around. His humble and down-to-earth character almost makes you feel like he is just a neighbor next door and not a God-like surgeon. I go into Ste A asked the girl at the counter if there's a water fountain, she says No, I asked if I can get water and she says No. I ended up walking back outside in the high heat to Suite B and ask for water and they give me a bottle of water. I'm upset the girl in Ste A denied me water when I'm dying of thirst from the high heat and feeling faint and dizzy. I call and speak to the Office Mgr Vanessa, she confirms there is no water fountain or water dispenser for patients in the waiting room but if you ask for water they will go to their breakroom and get you a cup. Except for today when I asked for water I was denied. Vanessa said that Ste B gave me a bottle of water from their employee stash. Denying water during extreme heat (95°F) should be a crime and refusing to provide water when a person is experiencing heat-related symptoms (dizziness, nausea, fainting) can escalate into heat exhaustion or heat stroke.

They're attentive to the smallest details and are willing to respond immediately to any questions or concerns I had or may have. Dr Ghostine is truly a highly esteemed and respected neurosurgeon here in the Los Angeles area. Patients procure his professional medical services from, not only from all over the state of California, but from across the country. And I believe even beyond! When I first met Dr Ghostine to review my MRI images of my neck, he explained to me what he felt was most likely causing the pain and weakness in my lower neck, right arm and hand. Truth be told, I was the one who actually pushed for a surgical procedure. However, he felt I should definitely get a second opinion from another neurosurgeon just to confirm what he felt was necessary before proceeding further with surgery. And after having received similar advice from another neurosurgeon and after having done as much research as I possibly could, I made the request to go 'under the knife'. And I felt very confident and comfortable with my decision, for it was pretty easy, since there existed few other beneficial alternatives. So this mid July, and at 61 years old and having never had any previous surgery in my entire life, Dr Ghostine performed an almost 2 hour invasive surgery on my C7-T1 herniated/bulging C8 disc to partially remove and alleviate the compromised nerve causing the neuropathy and weakness. For those who desire to know exactly what was performed, the procedure is not as common as the typical front of the neck ACDF (anterior cervical discectomy and fusion), but is more of a 'loss art surgery' - according to Dr Ghostine. One in which the surgery is performed on the back of the neck through a 2.5-3.0 " incision where the neck and shoulders meet. It didn't require a complete discectomy, that is, a complete removal of the herniated disc. Rather, a portion of the disc is removed and the nerve canal is widened to mitigate the stenosis. Natural mobility is maintained in the neck through this operation and doesn't require any apparatus or fusion. For those who desire more information, here are the medical terms for all the procedures that were performed on my neck: C7-T1 hemilaminotomy, medial facetectomy, foraminotomy, and microdiscectomy with ORM navigation. Thankfully the surgery went very smoothly for me! I'm not out of the proverbial 'woods' yet. And it's only been a month, but the horrific neck pain that I've dealt with previously for months has disappeared and the neuropathy subsided substantially, the jabbing sensations radiating down my shoulder into my right arm vanished and some of the strength has returned. Yay! Nerves heal slowly at about 1mm/per day so it's going to take some time. Dr Ghostine has remained very involved with my recovery visiting me along with his other patients the following morning after the surgery and has been attentive during my recovery period. I find Dr Ghostine to be warm and friendly and quite humorous! He likes getting to know his patients and really becoming better acquainted with them as human beings with thoughts and feelings rather than just treating patients as mere individuals in his clinic or at the hospital. If you're nervous, have any reservations, doubts or concerns, look no further! Dr Ghostine is awesome! You'll be taken care of by him better than you can even imagine! Trust me, I, too, was feeling quite despondent and confused about my future and the painful situation with my neck until I miraculously met Dr Ghostine. I'm so eternally grateful for his professional medical expertise and abilities. My life has been completely transformed since the successful neck procedure Dr Ghostine performed on me.
