After being dissatisfied with our last choice for a piano tuner, we did our research. We read other reviews and information provided for Jonah, and decided to give him our business. We received a return call from him very quickly after leaving a message for him. We were able to arrange an "after work" appointment with him that would accomodate our schedule wonderfully. He arrived promptly and was so very professional, courteous, and obviously very knowledgeable, yet seemed like an old friend we'd not seen in a while at the same time. We were comfortable having him in our home. He went to work quickly, and after diagnosing some issues regarding it's pitch that he'd like to address, we were confident he knew what we was doing. I've used Jonah as my piano tuner for the past year and have been very satisfied with his work. He is knowledgable, honest, and professional. I have a small upright that is quite old, but Jonah is very careful with it and continues working with it until the right pitches are consistently maintained. I've hired two other piano tuners in the area, but have NOT had good experiences with either of them. One kept treating me like I was beneath him, and the other was highly unprofessional and didn't seem to have a clue what he was doing. Both companies are big names here in the Music City, but for the life of me I can't figure out why. After trying these other companies several times, I began searching for a piano tuner who knew what he was doing yet would also show respect for me and my beloved instrument. Jonah came out and tuned our piano that had been in storage for over a year after we moved into our renovated home. He did a fabulous job and SO quickly! The communication leading up to the appointment was stellar! I requested a damper bar be put back on and after about a week it caused a key to not work properly. When I called Jonah, he came right out to the house, explained the issue and removed the bar, which I'd never used anyway, as well as changed out some missing screws on the music stand. This young man could not have been more polite and professional. He was able to do the basic tuning of our piano in about one hour, which is a miracle because it had not been tuned in over 15 years! Even though there were some minor key issues (pardon the pun) that will require more time and labor at the next tuning, I am not a professional musician so I was more than satisfied to have the basic tuning just so I could enjoy my own playing at home! Jonah is an intuitive piano magician! My 1950s Wurlitzer has never sounded this amazing, and he did it even though it hadn't been serviced in decades. The broken strings are now unbroken - the unworkable keys are now in perfect working condition. It was meticulously tuned for use with recording - and it now sounds amazing on recordings. I had my first tuning with Jonah yesterday. My piano sounds fantastic! He is very, very knowledgeable and told me all about many potential improvements that could be made to the piano over time, but never tried to "sell" me on any of them.
