His gentle approach and overall knowledge of the procedure immediately relived me of the anxiety I walked into his office with. Dr. Richter educated me with relaxing conversation that comforted the procedure as he performed an extraction, ozone cleansing of the area and bone graft in 35 minutes /PAIN FREE/ during and post service. His distracting way of administering the injections are incredible. His years of experience in perio /gum disease allows him to extract the tooth form the area best to relieve the patient of pain. Dr. Richter is As Good As It Gets! His immaculate, state of the art office runs like a well oiled machine. Professional, smart, kind, top notch. You know you are in good hands as soon as you step into his office and take a seat in the chair. Dr. Richter is meticulous with his work. He did incredible work on my front tooth that I broke as a child and recently he literally changed my daughter's life. He gave her a smile that she never thought she would have. I have been a patient of Dr. Richter for what seems like forever but probably more like 6-7 years now. I am thrilled with the level of care that I have always received there. I'm sitting in my car in the parking lot outside his building as I write this. Imani, the new hygienist who did my cleaning today was so patient with me, gentle and thoroughly professional. I'm moving out-of-state soon and will miss Dr. Richter, Linda, who had been my hygienist for years, and now Imani as well as Cassie at the front desk. Their Covid protocols are serious and made me feel very much at ease. My last visit was when dental offices were first allowed to re-open. Would I recommend Dr. Richter and his staff? Absolutely! The worst. I am a recent endocarditis survivor. I went to him for a second opinion. He was dismissive, rushed, always going back & forth to other patients never giving his full attention. Went for a cleaning. It was painful and traumatizing and when I told him I was in pain afterwards & called his office, he never called me back. I went for a follow-up visit & when I told him I had been through so much he grabbed my purse from behind me and there it on my lap. That was his way of dismissing me. DISGUSTING. His bad reviews on the "Healthgrades" website it spot on true. I should have believed all the bad reviews & spared my self more physical and emotional pain from this heartless arrogant dentist. read more

I had an incredibly good experience today when I went to Dr. Richter for oral surgery. From the moment I stepped into the office, where the staff was super friendly and reassuring, to the time I walked out, I was treated with compassion and professionalism. Dr. Richter saved my tooth even though I was told by my primary dentist that it would have to be removed. He was gentle and explained everything he was going to do before he actually did it. Having oral surgery is never fun but today's procedure was relatively painless and much less stressful than I thought it would be. I would recommend Dr. Richter without hesitation. Dr. Richter is an extraordinary dentist, and an artist in repairing the mouth. He is focused on making one's mouth as healthy as possible, as well as looking and feeling great. He is also an extraordinarily compassionate and caring professional. He explains procedures thoroughly, responds fully to questions and is a pleasure to know and work with. The WORST experience. He refused to look at my gums when asked about a concern. He was demeaning, reprimanding, arrogant. He kept leaving the room to see other patients during my visit. He dismissed my concerns, stating "I am the periodontist!" He quickly glanced at x-rays, rushed, angry man. He grabbed my bag and through it in my lap to dismiss me. I have never experienced such rude, disrespectful behavior. But he was always careful, supportive and helpful, and managed to complete the procedure on a very tight timeframe - before I moved to Spain! This dentist is aggressive in his manner and technique (painful treatment) and lacks empathy. Arrogant is the word I'd use. Ego before patients well being. Would not trust him to do work on me. My first visit is my last visit. Charges way more than other dentists, too. read more
