Terrible Experience at Thank You Dental I'm extremely disappointed and upset with Thank You Dental. They completely neglected my child's dental care and overlooked issues that could have been easily prevented. Because of their lack of attention, my child's teeth now need extra care that could have been avoided. What's even worse is that they charged my insurance for procedures that were never even done! That's dishonest and unacceptable. Parents, please be careful -- don't trust Thank You Dental with your child's dental care. I have not been to the dentist in about 6 years so I wanted to get a checkup/xray to see if my teeth was healthy. Being the naive person I was , I just went to the closest dentist that looked nice but nice does not mean anything when it comes to your health/teeth. The cost was close to $300 for cleaning,xray,and check up. The nurse/dentist told me that I had no cavities and that my teeth were healthy. I went because my dental crown was shaking whenever I ate food but she said it was not shaking at all after inspecting it...... No joke 2 weeks later the crown popped off while I was inside Macy's shopping, and I was upset. I went to another Dentist - Bayside Family Dental 213-33 39th Ave Ste 302 Bayside, NY 11361 and wow , the dentist there is very professional and good at what he does.... He told me that I had a cavity near the place where the crown fell off and on top of that he fixed it all. I went in for a regular checkup (New Client). They made me aware I needed a cleaning which was completed that same day. The dentist also mentioned I had 4 small cavities that needed a filling. Scheduled an appointment to cover up my fillings. Second appointment to cover up my fillings I walked in, doctor made me aware that she was not putting any topical anesthesia on any of the fillings because they're very small. I found it odd, because this is the first filling I've ever done without receiving any topical anesthesia. I felt PAIN as she was drilling out all 4 cavities. I left the office, 3 days later one of my fillings cracked. I went back the third time to fix the cracked filling ( Note doctor did not put any topical anesthesia or any type of numbing to not feel pain) I made doctor aware I was feeling sensitivity in the area where she covered some of my fillings. She made me aware the sensitivity would go away. Things get worse I went back a 4th time because I felt another filling had cracked. This time around I was seen by a male doctor in which he stated the filing was not crack it was a little part of my corner tooth that had cracked. He began to file the tooth to smooth it out. I mentioned again to him that I was still feeling sensitivity on my fillings that they completed recently. He made me aware they would monitor the area. It's now been a couple of weeks and I continued to have sensitivity in that area, to the point where I have to chew everything from one side of the mouth. Once again I contacted the practice and made them aware. The receptionist wanted to confirm if the pain was increasing? Of course it has increased, I can't even chew from one side of the mouth. They made me aware I could Stop by the office this week. The following day as I was flossing my tooth in the area the doctor completed the filling I started bleeding and once again the filling came out. I immediately contacted my insurance company and made them aware of the nightmare I encountered with this dental practice and requested to change my dental provider. I get super anxious at the dentist. I don't mind needles in my arms but needles in my mouth gets me super nervous. I had an appointment today at 9am but I got there around 8:50am and they still opened the door for me so I can wait inside since it's cold outside. The fronts were so sweet. They made me fill out the appointment paper and then gave me the demographic paper which was pretty simple. I then waited for maybe 5 minutes and someone called my name and I was in a room. The assistant Angie was the sweetest ever. She made sure I was comfortable and explained every move she made- cause she saw that I was nervous. I have to come back on the 14th so I can get one of my tooth filled since I have a cavity and she made the appointment for me on the spot. She got a series of xrays and was just very friendly and her bedside manner was great! The dentist was very professional as well. I waited maybe for 10 minutes and she came in and immediately apologized for the wait time. I work in the healthcare field and a 10 minute wait is nothing. She reviewed my xrays and cleaned my teeth thoroughly and answered the millions of questions I had. I'm a nervous wreck at the dentist but she made me feel at ease. I highly highly recommend this dentist- especially for people who have dentist anxiety. You will feel comfortable and won't regret coming here to get work done. The office interior is beautiful with calming classical music playing in the background. Overall the wait time and the bedside manners of the staffs are very important to me and I was not disappointed. read more

My husband switched over to get cleanings here as well and I have recommended Dr.Seo and her staff to all of my family and friends who live nearby. Had a great experience with this clinic. I called in an made an appointment with ease using ZocDoc. When I got there it impressed me by how clean and welcoming the office was. It has a spa-like atmosphere. The reception was courteous and advised me of what my insurance co-pay would be upfront. The equipment was state of the art and the exam rooms were also tranquil. Came here about 2 years ago for a regular checkup/cleaning. Overall facility/staff are very nice and friendly. My issue is that I was told that I had a bunch of small cavities and needed to get them removed and filled. Since then 2 of these fillings have fallen out. One of which was repaired by another dentist, the other not only fell out but had already allowed another cavity to grow and require a root canal to fix. Sub-par work by far which is super unfortunate because the dentist and her staff were super nice and friendly. read more

I had 2 old fillings redone because they were cracked and 2 fillings for new teeth a year ago. One of the fillings cracked 2 weeks later and another of the new fillings cracked, ended getting infected, had an emergency root canal after 2 weeks of antibiotics. Not recommended. I am now missing a tooth thanks to Thank You Dental. I came in 2 months ago to get a filling redone and that went fine other than the $250 dollars I was charged. The dentist I was actually recommended was away on vacation and my broken filling was really sharp and bothering me so I coughed up the unreasonable price. I had full xrays done (I asked twice to have them emailed to me and never received them). I asked a couple of times if all my other teeth were alright and was assured they were. Fast forward to today when I'm sitting at work and my tooth splits in half and chips off. I had a giant hole in my tooth but I just got back from a checkup a couple of weeks ago!! I get an emergency visit at a good dentists office and I'm told that my tooth was decaying underneath an old filling for sometime now and if I had come in for a checkup earlier, I could have salvaged my tooth. But I DID come in for a check up earlier just to Thank You Dental where I was assured everything was ok. Probably because there were 3 other patients waiting and the doctor's only agenda was to get paid that day. Maybe if they had looked at the xrays and spent a little more time on me, I wouldn't have to be undergoing a root canal tomorrow and now paying to have a crown put in for the first time in my life. What a pleasant experience it was going to the dentist!...said no one ever, unless it was here. Super friendly staff and very professional. The office feels very warm and welcoming unlike many other doctor's offices that feel exactly like a doctor's office. They're also very punctual which is rare to find at many appointment based offices. It's like, why even have appointments if I have to wait anyway?!? But that hasn't happened here so far which is awesome. They also provide 2 parking spaces in front which is a big plus since the area can sometimes be hard to find parking. I recently moved back to NYC and needed to find a new dentist. Dr. Seo came up first on my search on ZocDoc and I decided, hey why not? Only 10 minutes from home! The office was located just off of Northern and Bell Blvd, but I was able to find parking just around the corner of the block. I was told after I got in that there were two parking spots in front of the office, so I know for next time! When I walked in, the office had a very home-y feel with some eccentric interior design choices, but I felt very comfortable in the waiting room. The front desk staff were so friendly from the moment I came in. It turned out the Zocdoc appointment didn't sync with their system, so they didn't have my appointment in their records, but they quickly put me down and had me provide my information. My insurance card hadn't arrived yet, but they didn't give me a hard time about it either, which I was grateful for. Since my appointment wasn't in their records, I did have to wait a while to be seen by Dr. Seo, but the dental assistant/tech spent the time to take my x-ray. Everyone's bedside manners were great. When Dr. Seo came in, she was very nice as well, and my dental cleaning which normally is always painful, was bearable hah. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great office! This review is solely for the front desk receptionist that I spoke to on the phone. I made an appointment on Sat for a Monday afternoon appointment. The lady who spoke to me on the phone said there was issues with my insurance and I had to call them to resolve it. So I gave my insurance a call Monday morning and they said that everything was still the same and there was no problem with my dental coverage. Gave the office a call back to finalize the insurance info and the same receptionist said she couldn't find me in the system. A lot of back and forth. Since there was nothing I could do, I asked if she can call the insurance company to check my eligibility and she said "It would take me two to three hours to speak to a representative because the same thing happened to another patient. You would not be able to come in for your appointment today" after I explained to her that I was leaving the country later the evening. I work in a medical setting and I know that it's the receptionist job to delegate with insurance. The receptionist that I spoke with was incompetent and condescending. The fact that she was unwilling to do her job affect the overall practice and I will take my business elsewhere. read more

Don't ever go to this place unless you want to end up doing root canal!!! My daughter had some minor cavities which didn't bother her at all until this Korean lady dentist did her fillings. She drilled deeper than they needed to. It's too close to the nerve. My daughter has been having pain till now 10 days after the filling done, she couldn't eat and sleep. Now she needs root canal !!! The other dentist in this office is trying to cover up for the one who messed up. She made it sound like it's the patient's problem. I really hope everyone reads this review. I had found Thank You Dental on yelp and today was my first visit for a cleaning and check up. Throughout all my years of dental appointments, this is the best office, with amazing staff that I had the pleasure of meeting. Upon arrival the waiting room has various coffee, tea, and water. The decor is absolutely calming ~ they even have a mini waterfalls in the sitting area. There are tons of magazines to choose from and a massage chair to help you pass the time. They even have a mini daycare for those of you with children. Everyone room was absolutely clean and equipped with 2 tv screens: 1st shows a movie so you don't have to pay attention to the drilling sounds and 2nd for displaying your x-rays so you have a better understanding of what they are explain to you. The entire office is well decorated as relaxing and cozy. Adding the final touch was the staff, everyone was extremely nice. They explained who they were and they what they were going to do. Excellent facility and staff, fast service I had an 11:30AM appointment and ran 7-10 minutes late. Called ahead and the receptionist told me it was fine. I had already filled out my documents on Zocdoc so check in was very quick. Before I could even make my complimentary coffee they were ready to see me! I went into the exam room and one of the assistants performed my x-rays, I think she was new because the other assistant was cheering her on, it was all pretty cute. Dr. Seo then came in and performed my cleaning, pretty painless and very thorough. I have already booked my next cleaning - it was THAT good. The BEST! The staff REALLY takes care of you and only want you to be comfortable. I made an appointment on a Saturday at 5 PM. FIVE! I don't know any Dentist that are even open that late on a weekend. Periodically during the week leading up to my appointment I received two text messages reminding me. On the day of, they texted wondering if I wanted an earlier appointment, because I couldn't i texted back a simple "No" and they confirmed that they would see me at 5. Do great that they reminded me and offered an earlier time, if I could've I definitely would have ! I arrived a little early around 4:50 and they offered me a free massage in their VERY modern massage chair, pulled the screens down and let me enjoy a very wonderful massage for 10 minutes. It was a little less seeing as Dr. Maria finished her other patient and the nurse asked if I wanted to finish up my massage, I gladly went in and i was taken to a VERY MODERN and CLEAN area where the chair was comfortable, and I was able to watch TV while they cleaned my teeth. Absolutely horrid! Avoid at all costs!!! They will tell you that you have small cavities then make you sign a waiver that those teeth may need root canal. Which of course they do within weeks. Also received an authorization from my insurance company for a deep cleaning which was nothing more than a regular cleaning. While doing a root canal Dr. Lee decided to shave down one of my other teeth to make it even, which obviously made it weak and now has cracked off. Went there today and they are taking no accountability for anything just asking who my new insurance company is. read more

Used to love this place because doctor Maria Seo was always very gentle with my teeth and never had any issues. I'm writing this review because of the korean receptionist who is in her mid 40/50s. This lady seriously need a reality check. I got a referral from Maria Seo to go see a Endodontist because my tooth was a special case but I was struggling to find a Endodontist that was willing to take my insurance so I told the clinic that I am willing to pay for it out of pocket if they can recommend me any good Endodontist. Her eyes legit lit up the moment i said that she said that I can get my root canal at the office. Upon getting examined by a male doctor this time he said there is a chance that the root canal might fail if he does it but hearing that made me feel very uncomfortable.
