This was my very first time going to this cleaner. I definitely take responsibility for my part in this, but let me tell you the issues I encountered when dropping my items off.. I dropped off 25 dinner napkins to be dry cleaned and pressed on Monday, March 17. I told the woman who is working behind the counter that I didn't need these in a rush, so she gave me a ticket and said you can come by next Monday to pick these up. It honestly didn't cross my mind to inquire how much it would cost to get 25 dinner, napkins, pressed and laundered ... I've used many other dry cleaners in the past and thought the cost would be reasonable. Yesterday, on Monday March 25th, the day my dry cleaning ticket said to come and pick up, I walked in and the woman behind the counter said my stuff wasn't supposed to be done until Wednesday. Had I had my dry cleaning ticket on me, I would've showed it to her and said we discussed it being done on Monday. I said, OK I'll be back on Wednesday to pick these up and oh by the way, how much will this cost? She tells me it's gonna be $250.00 to have these dinner napkins cleaned and pressed. Had there not been anyone in the store behind me, I would have had a more serious conversation about why I felt that Price was unreasonable and why was I not given an advance notice of the cost? In all fairness, I could have asked the first time I was there or done more research into this ... however, I believe that we sometimes don't ask these questions because we are familiar with experience and accustomed to a standard price. Out of the 25 napkins that I brought over, only four of them had stains. All of the napkins were from the local Angelview thrift store which I purchased for less than $20 for all of them. Needless to say, I will not be returning to the store to pick up my napkins for $250 total . So, in retrospect , absolutely ask for a price before leaving your garments at this location and hold them to the date they promised, especially when it is a week away from the date you dropped off. The fact that this woman behind the counter are printed me a ticket that said pick up on Monday the 24th and when the 24th came, she completely gaslight me and looked at me as if I were stupid to tell me to come back on Wednesday, I was sort of beside myself that I was being lied to so matter of factly. There are so many dry cleaners in the area, so don't feel as if you absolutely have to go to this place . In fact, because of this experience, I will go out of my way to recommend any other place besides this. read more

I went to Jonathon's Cleaners because the cleaner I had in Cathedral City closed after many years. I dropped off a bunch of silk Hawaiian shirts and I was not in a rush, so picking them up the following week was fine. These were shirts that I had dry cleaned many times at the old Cathedral City Dry Cleaner location but when I went to pick them up at Jonathon's Cleaners, I had quite a big surprise. I had about 18 shirts, and the total charges were $190! Needless to say, I was stunned. I wanted the shirts back, so I paid the ransom of $180. I went home and did some research, and about 10 minutes later, I found another dry cleaner where the cost is about 50% less. No one likes to feel that are being "ripped off" especially when there are many other choices in the area. The quality of the dry cleaning at Jonathon's was fine, but not worth paying double the price; any dry cleaner would give me just about the same results. This was horrible value for the money. My beef is the absorbent prices. I brought in 4 curtain panels. It is my fault I didn't ask the price. It was $100. I paid as it was my fault for not asking. I went over to nearby Homegoods and bought almost the same 4 panels for less than $70. These ones do not have to be dry cleaned. I am looking at that now when I buy something read more

We have gone back to them several times over the last 18 months and There have been numerous instances where their work was astoundingly poor. Buttons sewn that literally fell off the first time the garment was worn (more than once), being charged for alterations that were never done with no communication about the incomplete work and mysterious missing items that never showed back up. They are super close to our home which is why we went back, but we're finally done with them. I would avoid. read more

Pick up or drop off beware! I am in town for a short period of time and need to pick up my dry cleaning, I get to the door and there is a handwritten note on the window that says "lunch back in 30 min" meanwhile there is a woman standing in the back that I can see from the locked door, when I knocked she turned her back and didn't acknowledge me. So did your lunch break start 25 min ago and I have 5 min until you get back, or did it start 3 min ago, and now I have to wait until someone wants to work so I can pick up my items. I've been here twice, the first time my dry cleaning bill was astronomically expensive, decided to try them again, and as soon as I walked in this grumpy lady looked at me with a scowl, very unwelcoming feeling, as if I was intruding. I asked for two shirts to be dry cleaned and two shirts to be laundered and pressed and she said that they make all the decisions there and they know best. I told her that I didn't want my white shirts dry cleaned because they tend to turn yellow and she told me that they were going to do what they felt was best. I asked again if she could follow my instructions and make notes on my ticket and she handed me the ticket and said we know how to do clothes here and refused to follow my request. I asked for my clothes back and went down the street to discount cleaners. When I walked in the woman greeted me with a huge smile and welcomed me into the business, and was incredibly helpful, she said she could absolutely help me with my request and I'm sure the pricing will be much better. They clean organically, and it looks like a really well run operation. They've gotten the best of the desert several times. So glad I found this new dry cleaners. I'm new to the desert, and this is an important part of my business to have my clothes dry cleaned regularly and when I drop off in the morning, it helps start my day off right when someone greets me with a smile and a pleasant attitude. read more

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful at Jonathan's Cleaners. I have had issues in the past with dry cleaners losing items or breaking buttons on clothing. It is so refreshing to be able to drop off items and know they will all be returned bprofessionally cleaned and given back on time. In fact, one day I came in right after the owner had picked up the dry cleaning and I needed something the same day, he actually came back to pick up the items so I could have them that evening. read more

I recently dropped off four items for cleaning at Jonathans. When I returned to pick up, I was given only 3 items. When I questioned this, it took several calls and visits to get a return message from them. In spite of my receipt stating that I had dropped 4 items, (2 shirts, one pants and a jacket) I was told that this must have been a mistake made by the person who initially took the items. No further mention of compensation or a solution to this situation. I am missing a $200 black linen men's shirt. For your own protection, I would suggest that when you drop off items at this establishment, that you take a picture of the items, on the counter at the dry cleaners, as a record of what you have left in their care. If not, you may not have a leg to stand on, when you find an item missing. I wish I had taken a foto verification! read more

He told me it was beyond repair and that unfortunately attempts to clean the ink spots would cause the spots to only grow larger. I had an emergency with my mother of the groom dress one week before the wedding. My gown had numerous stains on it likely from body lotion I had applied prior to trying on the dress for alterations. I needed the dress back in less than 48 hours in order to get the alterations done in time for the wedding. I usually take my items to the Palm Springs location, but every now and then I have to go out past the area toward Palm Desert and Indio. When I'm in the area for work, I'll sometimes drop off my suits there. You'll get the same good service, fair pricing, and timely results as the PS location. Since they believe in making good relationships with their customers, they'll even bend over backwards to ensure your satisfaction. First, I will say I think the cleaning services for mens shirts, sports coats, pants, etc. is very good. But this week I had sticker shock at the $16.50 cost to clean a medical lab coat that was not even stained. When I dropped off I asked for "launder and press" which I'm assuming is not the same price as dry cleaning. For some reason, the lab coat was dry cleaned. The amount seemed very high and regrettably I won't be able to use this cleaner for this purpose anymore. Next time, I guess I need to ask the staff "how much" in advance. Caveat emptor. read more
