Came here for Coachella Thursday, had a white NFL Jersey with 2 year old mustard stains on it. I walked in, greeted by the man BALLY himself, told him I needed the stains gone and the jersey dry cleaned by Saturday. He had it ready by Friday morning at 11. His customer service was top tier and we shared a lot of laughs while he gave me a hard time for waiting until the last minute to get my jersey dry cleaned. Prices were very reasonable as well. Would recommend this dry cleaners to anyone. Very convenient location, central to all grocery stores and hotels. Bally saved my weekend! I hope you all have the same experience. read more

This is the worst dry cleaning business I have ever been to!! It took four days to get one shirt cleaned. When I went to pick it up after waiting three days, the customer service rep was dressed in a red hooded sweatshirt and had a tattoo on each hand. And was eating some fast food. I asked him for a receipt and he gave me a receipt with no total amount on it. After requesting to have him write the total on the receipt, he became aggressive. I told him that I was never bringing another article of clothing to their dry cleaning business. I was told to quote "get the f*** out of there". I would not recommend taking your laundry to this business. They are embarrassment to the business community here in palm desert. read more

I had a HORRIBLE experience with Bally's Cleaners. Because the woman at the Bally Indio location has such a bad attitude, I called the main location in Palm Desert to discuss her behavior. I spoke to the son (they refuse to give their names at this place). I also explained that I requested a redo of my husband's pants because when I picked up the pants at Bally's Indio, the pants had streaks on them. However, the son called a couple of days later stating that they cannot remove what he called "a shine" on the pants because we ironed the pants using a iron that was too hot. Note, my husband recently wore this black pant to a funeral. There was no shine or streaks on these pants when we brought them into the Bally's Indio location. Besides, the pants require dry cleaning. My husband never ironed the pants. Why would he iron them if they require dry cleaning. But essentially, Bally's took no responsibility for what happened to the pants. Of course, it is all our fault and not theirs. Now, I decided to pick-up the damaged pants at the Palm Desert location because the woman at the Bally's Indio location has such a bad attitude. So I called the Palm Desert cleaners and this time the father answered the phone. He said that he was the father of the son who called me about the pants. I informed "the father" that I would like to pick-up the pants at the Palm Desert location. He stated that was fine but I asked for his name. I asked for his name because when I speak to people, I like to know who I am speaking to BUT when I asked him for his name, this guy started shouting at me saying WHAT DO YOU WANT? YOU WANT MY DATE OF BIRTH TOO? I TOLD YOU WE WILL HAVE THE PANTS READY HERE AT PALM DESERT. Then he hung up the phone. Bottomline, these people are really crazy, they lack professionalism and there is absolutely no customer service but most of all, they ruin my husband's pants. read more

If you have any stains on your clothes take them out before because they won't take them out and if you bring them to their attention that they didn't try to remove them, they expect you to pay again! I have been using this dry cleaner for about a year Overall I have had my clothes returned in good condition. The father is always very kind and polite. The son is the exact opposite. Today he called me a bitch and told me to pay him his $7 even though the basic oil stain dead center on the blouse was still there. If I wanted it removed I was told I would have to pay another $7. I asked why it wasn't taken out in the first place. We have hundreds of pieces that go through at one time, you can't catch everything. When he placed the garment on the rod I thought he was handing it to me so I started to take it from him and he snarled at me, mean voice Heyyyyy! Like don't touch it. I said I want to check if the stain was removed. It wasn't and that is when he got very ugly and frightened me. I told him I wouldn't pay unless he redid the garment and removed the stain. I walked out of the store and he came out yelling that he was going to call the police on me. I was scared of him and grabbed a handful of bills from my wallet and threw them at him. There better be 7 dollars here or I am calling the police he yelled. I had given him 8 and he threw one back at me. This was the second time I have this experience with him. My husband's shirt had a stain that was hard to see on the cuff. They did not remove it and the son said I'd have to pay again for them to try. Labor costs he said. I went home and used FelsNaptha soap and it came out 90%. I wanted to give them a second chance because they are in my neighborhood and the father is always so nice. I get it. We're all stressed and I understand that you had to close and your business may be down. But NEVER should you have treated me in the rude menacing way you did! When I go in with a stain I always point it out and have asked why you don't put a bit of tape to draw attention to it, and he said oh don't worry they always check the garment carefully. Twice, a stain not removed. Twice I am told pay again if you want it removed. For 7 dollars you insult and menace me! This is not the kind of business I wish to support and to the father, I say I am sorry. I will drive across town if I have to to find a new dry cleaner. My goodness... you are really an epic case. I will never walk back in your establishment. There are many cleaners in town far better than yours. You are an unpleasant unprofessional person. Of course they're wizards at getting your clothes clean & pressed (rescued more than a few blouses for my wife) but the service is what stands out. A dry cleaner? I'm going kooky over a dry cleaner? No I haven't entered an alternate universe where grown men get giddy about dry cleaning! The owner, Onkar, is there everyday to greet and serve his clients. After just a few visits he remembers our names and grabs our clothes before we're able to produce the ticket. Soon he remembers what vehicle I drive, sees me as I drive up and Ta-Da! my clothes are waiting for me as I enter the door. I don't even bother taking the obligatory ticket any more, with Onkar at the helm I don't need it. Besides, I'll just lose it anyway. This man and his business are exceptional. During my visit to Palm Springs I found that I had gotten a terrible oil stain on my brand new down jacket. It was a gift for the holidays and I was devastated. I wasn't looking forward to going home and showing my boyfriend that I had ruined my new gift. Before consulting a dry cleaner I tried to treat the stain with a little dish soap. Didn't help. I didn't know what to do...it was OIL!!! As a last resort I stopped by a dry cleaner to see if they had ideas. It wasn't supposed to be dry cleaned but I figured they would know what to do. Luckily my first stop was at one of Bally's many locations. The woman there said her boss was the best and told me where to find him. I went to him in tears. He looked at it and told me to relax and it would be fine. Finally, reassurance that it would be okay. The next problem was time. I was leaving the next day, no time for a 2-3 day turn around. He was able to do it. After 2 more phone calls to him after I left, and a restless night I picked up my jacket. IT WAS PERFECT! Again...in tears, but tears of joy. He did what I thought was the impossible. I have nothing but gratitude for him and his staff. Thank You so much. I believe he has many very happy customers and I am one of the newest. My family and I were recently in the desert for a funeral. With the last minute notice of our trip, most of us were stuck with last minute shopping to make sure we would all look nice for the services. Unfortunately, that meant we needed some very last minute dry cleaning done to clean/press our outfits. We called a few places, but finally decided to look on yelp and found this highly rated business near we were staying. Needless to say, we were not disappointed. We called before and the owner said he would be happy to accommodate our last minute request. After driving to the easy-to-find business, we dropped off 2 suits, 3 dress shirts, 1 tie, and a dress at 5 pm. The staff had gone home for the day, but he assured me that they would do it first thing in the morning. The cleaning needed to be done at 10 am, so we would be able to get ready for the service. Not only was it done by 10 am, the owner called us at 9 am to let us know that they were done and ready to be picked up. Such a wonderful gesture of customer service. Our clothes were impeccable! Anyone in Palm Desert should run to use this place! It is no wonder they have such a high rating and great reviews. I only wish I could get this kind of service in NYC! This is the worst cleaners in the Valley. I brought a jacket to be cleaned here with a minor stain and when I got the jacket back the stain was gone but one of the pocket was tore. I complained and they denied damaging the jacket. They said they would fix it for $10, which I refused to pay. I'll never go to this place again, AVOID AT ALL COSTS! read more

I went to Bally's Cleaners for alterations and am pleased wih the outcome! I had to reschedule my appointment with Rosa, the seamstress, from morning to afternoon. They were very accomodating. I was really happy that they stay open until 6pm, as well, so I was able to go in for a fitting after work. Rosa was quick to pin my clothes in all the right places. And she was FAST! I dropped off my clothes Thursday night, and they were ready and pressed for pick up by Friday afternoon. The cost was reasonable... $14.00 for taking in seams, and $11.00 for hemming. Are you serious?! I have a few difficult items I was looking to have dry cleaned. By difficult I mean a WHITE soft shell Spyder snowboarding jacket(not supposed to be dry cleaned a lot) dirty with makeup and stains, a black peacoat with my (short hair) dogs hair all over it and lint, and last but not least this beautiful long beach dress that is a soft yellow along the bottom I had just bought for a trip to Mexico. Covered in black stains along the bottom. I had taken the dress to a few other dry cleaners and asked them if they thought they could get the stains out. One Asian lady laughed at me, told me I ruined the dress. I knew if they couldn't get the stains out of the dress I wouldn't bother asking about my spyder jacket. So I went and read reviews on yelp. Saw some of the other reviews talking about this place getting stains out, so I decided to stop by only realizing they close in 10mins. I called and the man said, "I will wait, come." I brought in the dress and he tells me "the only thing we can do is try", and took it. I got worried by this, but after reading other reviews I decided to trust him. A week later I came in to get my belongings and OMG!!!! They all looked brand new!! I could not believe it!!! It was worth paying the extra money let me tell you! Very friendly and nice people! Just came back from this place and I have to say... Wow! I needed my son's tuxedo shirt pressed and when I called to ask if they had time to get it done today, he said it will be ready tomorrow. Bally's was recommended to me by the El Paseo shop that sells the fancy bed linens. I wanted my sheets ironed and not all cleaners will do that. I live way over on the north end of Sun City Palm Desert, far from the branch that does bed linens, but they put me on the delivery route (the driver lives in Indio). I have used them for four years now and I can't say enough good about them. I send them linens, bed coverings, shirts, and my khaki shorts. They do minor repairs free and are excellent at removing stains. And the sheets are perfect. To me, there's nothing more luxurious than ironed Eqyptian cotton, high-count sheets (which I buy from Overstock.com so I can afford the laundry). read more
