(Dr. Pooja Patel has recently joined the team.)They handle basic dental care, extractions, cleanings, fillings, crowns and many other dental proceedures. Throughout the many years my family has been treated like members of a 'greater family'. Dr Phan provides caring advice and her diagnosis has always been spot on. Dr.Phan recently helped with a loose tooth. Both doctors have excellent knowledge and great tool skills. They are always friendly, respectful, and very helpful. My wife and both kids were also treated there and it has been equally great. It is a Quality shop. MVD has clean and nice rooms (since the expansion) Their equipmenty is well maintained, and have taken advantage of technology updates. They've always worked with my different health plans. (Jobs, retirement and now MEDICARE.) The office staff works hard to arrange & coordinate associative services (Like my oral surgeon) Their communication is spot on with text and email reminders. Probably the best part for me is that I can relax in the chair with little to no stress. The techs have good technique and soft hands. I always feel great after cleanings. I would also like to point out if you don't agree with Dr Emily's care plan/treatment she is more than happy to make sure if not go above and beyond to respect your wishes and decisions, never once have I been judge or ridiculed. Everyone from the front desk team to the dental assistants to Dr. Hahn herself are friendly, organized, and extremely knowledgeable. Going to the dentist can be scary (for both kids and adults!) and Dr. Hahn's bedside manner is exceptional. She is very clear about work being done in a way that erases any worries--I can say that she is one of a very small number of doctors I 100% trust. In addition to keeping my family's teeth in tip-top shape, examining x-rays from a different office to provide a second option, and repairing 2 broken teeth after an accident, I've observed Dr. Hahn work wonders for kiddos with special needs. She goes above and beyond to ensure comfort. During a visit this summer, I watched as a child who came in crying with nerves asked to give Dr. Hahn a hug in the way out. Who hugs their dentist?! I like Dr. John Boain and some of the staff but his billing and scheduling appointment, sucks…read more Especially Donna, she always submits the wrong billing code, and I always get a bill after treatment and I also have to pay up front at the time of service and still owe after treatment which, they don't tell me in the office. I'm like what do my insurance cover? So, pay attention to your EOB and bill before making a payment. When I have called to schedule an appointment with Donna, always tells me, we don't have an appointment available till four or five months from now. I'll go on the Boain website and see a lot of appointment times slots that's available less than a month to schedule. Terrible billing and scheduling department. It's best to self-schedule your appointments online.

The dentist let us know they wouldn't be able to fix her teeth until the following Wednesday. My daughter was already very upset and self-conscious about her appearance, so hearing that was hard for her. Since it was already after 2pm on a Friday and time was limited, I stepped out briefly (about 5-10 minutes) to call other dental offices to see if anyone could help sooner. During that time, while my daughter was being attended to, the front desk staff came and told me I needed to check out immediately. The tone felt unnecessarily impatient and somewhat aggravated. I politely asked if I could make one more quick call given the circumstances and timing, but I was again told I had to check out right away. I understand offices have policies and schedules to maintain, but the lack of empathy and communication in that moment was disappointing--especially given that my child was visibly distressed. If there was a reason for the urgency, it would have gone a long way to simply explain it in a calm and respectful way. Overall, while the dentist was professional, the front desk interaction left a negative impression during what was already a stressful situation.

They were friendly, but not great at helping my daughter understand what was going on, as it was her first dentist appointment. What really upset me is that they scheduled me and then, when it was almost time for our second appointment, they had to reschedule me 3 months out! I was upset, but went with the new date. Then, when it was almost time for our rescheduled appointment, they called me again, and said that they had to reschedule me AGAIN, another 3 months out! I asked why, and they said that they schedule so far in advance, that they don't know their doctor's schedules yet. So they are scheduling patients without knowing if a doctor will be available.

I never had a cavity in my life. Ever. It even showed in my records that they have since I was a child that I've never had any issues besides having braces. So when I went to Melissa for my first time, I was shocked when she said she found a tiny cavity on one of my premolars. I thought whatever, that time had to come eventually so I scheduled to get a filling. My entire life changed after the moment she started drilling into my tooth. I noticed after the numbing wore off that hot & cold food made my tooth that was filled feel like a shot of pain through my entire head.. and when I bit down on something with that tooth, it felt like it was going to shatter. So I went back & told Melissa what happened, she drilled my tooth down, gave me sensitivity tooth paste & sent me on my way. I came back TWO MORE TIMES AND SHE JUST KEPT DRILLING DOWN MY TOOTH FURTHER AND FURTHER. I have been to three different dentists now & each one has said that I need a root canal because of how far Melissa drilled down into my tooth, she literally hit my nerve & it shows in the xrays below. If the cavity was so little why in the world did you drill all the way down to my nerve!!! I have spent countless dollars now trying to fix the botched cavity filling Melissa performed. She honestly should have her dental license removed for malpractice. It's absolutely ridiculous. I have cried over this, I still can't chew or drink anything cold or hot on the left side of my mouth & I've had to wait a year and a half now to get a root canal because I had to get an entirely new dental plan to cover it. I'd just like to say that I'm only twenty years old, I have to pay $2000 for a root canal at twenty years old but somehow I've went my entire life without a cavity until I went to Melissa Rea's office. I've waited 2 years now to post a review about how bad my experience was because I'm still in pain from it & I'm so upset that I let someone whose clearly inexperienced ruin my dental hygiene. Rather than validate my frustrations, they were more focused on saving their own bottoms. Would not recommend this office, even though it's right by my house.
