I discovered Eric through Google, saw his Eugene address, and found his Facebook page where he was sharing updates about the success of his new handyman service. His authenticity and local roots immediately stood out. We first called Eric because our front door had been sticking and sagging for months -- maybe a year. He explained that there was a 1 1/2-hour minimum charge and suggested we make a list of other small projects to fill that time. That "little list" grew quickly -- and by the end, Eric and his team had transformed our home far beyond what we imagined. Here's just part of what they accomplished: Permanently secured our garage garden tool organizer and built custom garage shelving that perfectly fulfilled and exceeded my original request. Fixed our heavy front door, which now opens and closes effortlessly. Replaced nine exterior LED lanterns, choosing new fixtures with integrated bulbs for long-term reliability. Replaced our sliding door screen and updated all shower and faucet fixtures in our master bathroom. Rehung our large glass shower door and custom-painted the hinges to match the new bathroom fixture color using a special metallic paint that will hold up beautifully to water exposure. The results are fantastic! Throughout it all, Eric's communication was clear, friendly, and professional, and his teammates, Brandon and Terry, were equally skilled, respectful, and efficient. They worked cleanly, moved with purpose, and treated our home with care. A great example of Eric's integrity came when he tried to fix a rusted toilet handle -- and the porcelain tank unexpectedly cracked. Without hesitation, he went out, bought a brand-new toilet, installed it, and refused any payment for it. That's rare, and it speaks volumes about his character. The bathroom had the most awful, early 80's, peach colored shower enclosure, I could not live with - and the counter was much too short. The backyard had a large lawn and a small deck - it was crying out for a more useful space for entertaining. My street generates a lot of traffic noise and I needed something to help reduce it. I also wanted an attractive trash/recycling bin deck, close to the street, for convenience. I looked for reviews and Emerald Valley Home Repair popped up. I like licenses and BBB ratings - Ted has them. He was professional in his walk through and intelligent, creative and confident with his advice and ideas - that he quickly put me to ease with his clear rapport I chose Ted Colee. My new larger kitchen space includes my necessary dishwasher and a couple new cabinets and sparkles with quartz counter tops throughout. He also replaced the lighting. The bathroom shower panels were removed and replaced with new bright white tiles. The deck steps down to a circular stone patio that allows for more entertaining and several large potted plants. I worked with Ted on ideas for the front driveway and we came up with a spectacular walled in - shingled and planter deck. It looks fantastic and provides more privacy in my front yard and most importantly, has reduced the road noise.
