Great server nasty attitude of the manager. Inflexible when it came to wine flights which is crazy as they are trying to see you their wine! Came with a service animal and the manager was cold and really nasty with a terrible attitude. Wine was ok but won't come back to a "family" winery where the manager is so rude. This is my first time checking out Jones winery after visiting Jones farm's pumpkin patch. We decided to go for a wine testing while the non wine drinkers sat outside for some bites. They complained the menu was very limited and settled for chips and dip, dried fruit and nuts, and a mini pie. For $20 each, we get to taste 7 wines with a choice of dry or sweet and keep the souvenir wine glass. Our bartender had a very inviting smile. She was very knowledgeable in explaining the process, location, and hints of flavors for each one. The outside area is beautiful decorated with a water fall fountain and string lights. A gust a wind blew our glass and it broke in the paper bag. The staff was courteous to replace it. The vibe was grown and everyone was professional. I'd definitely come back. read more

The scenery here is amazing! The decor is beautiful! I ordered a nut & fruit bowl and a pumpkin cheesecake. It's more of a snack kind of menu. My nephew ordered nachos w/ hummus dip to share. I came here w/ a whole bunch of my family. The waiter was attentive & very nice! The food came out in a bit (didn't wait too long). It was pretty busy. I wish on the on menu they put the fruits (fruit & nut bowl) were sun-dried. I thought it was fresh fruit. I knew something was up b/c it was only 3 bucks. I would have not got it. The pumpkin cheesecake was ok. The hummus dip & nachos were ok as well. Nothing spectacular. The winery is right next to where you can seat & take in the views. We sat under a giant,pretty gazebo. My sister, her bf,& my cousin all went to the wine tasting in the winery next door. They received a wine glass w/ the tasting. read more

Went for the 1st time today. They had ample parking with an attendant. There was a tasting room and an area where you can enjoy wine by the glass with charcuterie. The food menu was rather small. The appearance was welcoming with photo setups. They also had signs that gave a brief history of the family and their legacy. I only tasted one wine and was not impressed. The tasting room employees seemed a little intense, not the friendlitiest. We didn't stay long. I'd go again to do full tasting and see if I have a better experience. read more

Had a great time at this winery. Plenty of outdoor seating. While you can't walk around as much, the areas available to the guests are spacious. They have a wine by the glass policy of 2-3 depending on if you did a separate tasting. That didn't bother us since we knew that going in. We enjoyed the two different whites we tried (white lotus and woodlands). We also enjoyed the charcuterie plate, but we wished there were more food options. Still, a great experience with quality wines. Would certainly recommend if you are in the area! read more

Staff was great at telling about wines and it was nice to sit outside with a cheese plate and the wine we liked.

Our friends were raving about Jones winery and we knew we had to check it out on our last day before leaving for home at the beginning of July. I loved the quaint, family friendly feel of the place and felt very welcomed. Me and the hubby decided to do the tasting flight of 7 wines plus a complimentary wine glass after the tasting (17.95 plus tax). I liked how there was a dry and lightly sweet wine list and that we didn't have to stick to one side necessarily. Me and the hubby really enjoyed all the wines but some of my faves were Muscat Ottonel, strawberry serenade, sunshine white and blueberry bliss. A few of these are award winning wines and I can definitely understand why! We ended up buying a bottle of the Muscat Ottonel to take home and enjoy. We will definitely be back to visit and hopefully around when it's cooler weather! read more

PROS: It's pretty? CONS: So. Many. Rules. You have to see a host to get queued up in a line to see another host which will bring you to a table. Table service only. Even for one glass. But don't get too used to that glass because you only get one more. "Oh, then I'll just get a bottle." Nope. You are not allowed to open a bottle AT. THE. WINERY. They will claim it's to keep it family friendly. But I've been to easily over 100 wineries and not only have I never encountered one where I could not share a bottle of wine, I've also never encountered one that had any problems resulting from that fact. No outside food, so no picnicking, etc... not that it would matter since you can barely have any wine - at the winery. This place is run more like a movie theater than a place to spend an afternoon relaxing with friends, which is what I think of when I think of visiting a vineyard. To be fair, they do have a decent selection of charcuterie plates, albeit overpriced. Then there was the service. Initially very friendly, we were charged $12 for the $5 drinks we ordered. When asked to fix it, the staff said, "But you drank the $12 drink." Well, yeah. We ordered $5 Harvest wines, got $12 wine-shaped drinks with apples in it (harvest, I guess?). It shouldn't have been an argument to correct but I wasn't up to paying $14 extra for two drinks I didn't order. The whole experience was just bizarre. read more

Stopped in while traveling through Connecticut on the recommendation of a friend. The winery tasting room and patio were beautiful - serene and inviting. The hostesses made us feel quite welcome. We selected the tasting menu and were directed to a standing-only bar inside. It was a LOT warmer inside, unpleasantly so, but that's where the tastings were. The tasting room is gorgeous. The person hosting our tasting didn't seem very knowledgeable about wine or the winery. I'm used to the tasting host being a near-encyclopedia of the wines, while our host was reading the menu upside down (and not very well.) She used the word "nice" a lot. My husband inquired about the history of the building we were in (did I mention that it was gorgeous) and she didn't have any answers. I was expecting some sort of tour or visuals of the wine-making process, but that was just me expecting something that clearly wasn't part of their process. It was a pleasant diversion and I can easily imagine spending an afternoon with a glass of wine and charcuterie tray. read more

Obsessed with this winery!! Been two times so far and already can't wait to go back. The location is perfect and they have tons to throughout the year in addition to the winery. My favorite wine there currently is the Strawberry - SO delicious. They also have some cheese and cracker plates for purchase as well as some other small snacks. read more

Visited this winery for the first time ever today, and had the BEST experience! They've gone all out on the fall decorations with pumpkins and gourds and lights everywhere. It set the scene perfectly for our wine tasting, which was also phenomenal. We were helped out by Al at their beautiful bar, who was extremely knowledgeable, kind and attentive. He was also so amendable and patient with me while I got the perfect videos of him pouring glasses of the delicious wine. I'm proud I was able to restrain myself to purchasing only 2 bottles to come home with me - both of which will be served in the complimentary wine glasses that came with the tasting - but know I will definitely be coming back for more soon. If you want to visit a winery and not drink wine, this is the place. My husband and I visited Jones "Winery" hoping to relax and enjoy a glass of wine but apparently Jones doesn't allow open bottles and doesn't offer wine by the glass. It's unfortunate because the wine is good and it's a cute little place. Definitely a missed opportunity for them. read more

i stumbled on this place driving through connecticut and am very pleasantly surprised. The customer service is superb and Steve (the wine tasting dude) is so sweet and informative.
