Google already has a bunch of 5 star reviews, so I'm opting to share here instead :) I'd gone to my previous dentist for about 20 years. Horror stories from my parents about subpar dentists back home, and stories about unnecessary fillings in Pullman, had me extremely wary of finding a dentist here on the Palouse. Travel home became inconsistent and it forced my hand. New dental insurance in hand, I gave Jonny Fisher's office a call. They verified what my insurance would cover so that I was set up, and gave me an email address so I could have my records shared with my dental office back home -- I planned on still going to them when I could, but didn't think I could make it there every 6 months. Here would do in the meantime. I JUMPED SHIP!! Jonny Fisher's office is certainly larger than my one back home, but there are still familiar faces and everyone is incredibly friendly. Kiki, Monte, and the doctor (I am not good with names, but she was amazing too) were all phenomenal. This office uses fluoride at each appointment, instead of just on children, are quick with x-rays, and my teeth truly feel so so clean when I leave. Took advantage of me financially. I'm a college student with jaw issues and came in twice for evaluation. The first time I made an appointment with their "jaw specialist" and he didn't even see me! Another dentist came in and openly admitted to not knowing anything about jaw care, told me nothing, and sent me away. And charged me! Then the second time I came in they told me right up front I needed to pay $700 for a mouth guard, which I didn't even know I was getting, and refused to charge insurance! I'm in college, I do NOT just have an extra 700 laying around. I later found out that they didn't even try my insurance, which would have covered it all, and now I can't get refunded from anyone. Also, the "mouth guard" didn't do anything and once I said it didn't help, they said "well there's nothing more we can do", didn't give me ANY advice on what to do next, told the nurse to DELETE my file, and sent me away. I later saw a real jaw specialist and he laughed at the $700 mouth guard, saying it was sloppy, poorly made, and would do nothing but harm my teeth. Highly disappointed. read more

Best Dental Hygienist in town! I reached out to Dr. Fisher's office for a full tooth extraction and prepare for a full set of dentures back in December. I would be proud to give praise to Dr. Ellis and his Dental Assistant team for making my experience memorable. By far the best bedside manners I've ever seen in a Dentist. They really care about making sure their patients are treated with kindness and respect. They genuinely take your concerns seriously and address them appropriately. They are very transparent about anything and everything, meaning, they don't sugar coat it, they tell you exactly the answers you're looking for. Another important person I'd like to give a shout out to is, of course, Tiffany and the other kind ladies at the front desk. They have been most helpful with your taken well care of when it comes to finding ways for you to make payments and still be able to make your appointment. It has been a wonderful experience and I've never been happier with the end result. They are now and always will be my primary Dentist. read more

My family had the worst experience with Jonny Fisher, on multiple different visits. The assistant was extremely rude and gave quite the attitude when I asked questions about what they were doing. During a separate visit when my sister came in for a cleaning, they didn't even clean her teeth. They picked around a bit, put fluoride on her teeth and sent her away. Outrageous. What are we paying for? I also know a friend that walked out with a bubble in her filling, causing her extreme agony. I'm talking up late at night crying, and they wouldn't even fix it until MONTHS later. And when they did "fix" it, all they did was grind down the filling some. She is still in pain, while not as severe, it has been almost 2 years and she can't get in to fix it again until this fall. NEVER go here. They are awful. AWFUL. read more

I needed fillings and a cleaning. A friend recommended Dr. Ellis and he did an outstanding job. He did a thorough examination, told me what kind of work I needed to have done, and he answered all of my questions. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. And for my cleaning, Alayna was my hygienist. Same experience. She went to great lengths to answer any questions and was very reassuring. And finally a quick word about the front office. I got confirmation emails and they communicated with me regarding appointment changes. They were great to work with. Overall, this is a top notch dental practice. Jonny Fisher DDS is by far the best dentist office I've been to. I live in Portland and was in Pullman visiting a friend when I had a tooth emergency and had to call 30 minutes before closing and GODBLESS THEM FOR FITTING ME IN. They stay an hour after to help and I've never wanted to hug a dentist and dental assistant more in my life! Thank yall for being such sweeties to me! Easily the best Dentist I've ever had. Not only is their location clean comfortable and convenient. But the staff is impressively kind professional and knowledgeable (especially Lauren and Amanda who were so sweet, knowledgeable and on top of everything) I had a particularly complicated situation (due to a health condition that greatly affects my teeth) and I've been to many dentists throughout my life, so I cannot express enough how shockingly well Dr Fisher handled the problems I had with multiple teeth and additionally ongoing nerve issues (under my teeth) . I've never had a better dentist and could not be more impressed with his skill level, knowledge, problem solving, kindness, and the incredible results from all the dental work I had done there. I cannot suggest him enough. Like I said, Ive been to many dentists and I think he's the best dentist in eastern Washington. read more

While visiting Pullman from Northern Ohio in mid-May, I broke a tooth on a late Thursday night. Fortunately, Dr. Fisher was open early Friday morning - the only Pullman dentist who was - and his staff worked me in by 9:00. His office staff was wonderful. Hygienists Libby, Taylor, and Tiffany spent so much time with me as did Dr. Fisher himself, who explained in detail my issues and possible solutions. I couldn't have asked for more compassionate and professional care. He assured my having minimal discomfort. He made temporary repairs, enough that got me home without any problems a week later. My Ohio dentist was very pleased with what was done in Pullman and completely agreed with Dr. Fisher's assessments, suggestions, and treatment. If I were living in Pullman, Dr. Fisher would be my dentist. read more

I needed a dentist to go to while attending school at WSU and decided to go with Dr. Fisher. My first cleaning ended with them telling me I had six cavities, the first cavities I have ever gotten. I was shocked as my three previous dentists had not mentioned anything about these problem areas. I was quite sceptical as to why this would suddenly pop up out of no where but figured I should get them filled. I am now back from school and went to my previous dentist. After a full set of xrays and my cleaning they were quite confused why I had the smallest fillings done that he had ever seen. Now this was not in reference to all of the fillings, but at least three or four if them got these remarks. This makes me believe that Dr. Fisher gave me unnecessary fillings as a dentist's job is not to take up the bill but rather perform the unavoidable. read more

Fisher took over from my life-long dentist in Kendrick, ID, several years ago. Prior to this, I have never had a past due balance or not paid my dental bill promptly. From the beginning it was a disaster. The care was sub-par, my cleaning caused me tooth pain for weeks that required Tylenol-type pain killers. I had never experienced anything like it. Furthermore, I was promised I would be billed the same as Dr. Sowle's billing, including accepting our insurance, and then we were charged so much it maxed out 2 of our annual deductibles and they still tried to bill us another $2500+. I took my daughter for a second opinion because I had a feeling they were pushing unnecessary work, and that was confirmed for me when another dentist found no need for her to have any fillings that had been recommended by Fisher. After several months, and a long letter I wrote to their office to explain our position, I was told by their employee that our bill had been reduced, and I promptly paid the remaining balance and assumed that it was taken care of. That was in May 2020. Now, Sept 2021, I out of nowhere get a letter from a collections agency. They have added another $500 to our balance and sent it to collections with no communications since last year. Today, 9/21/2021, Brooklyn tells me by email and phone that they will not honor what their employee, Brenda, said in 2020, and we should just pay the collections company. Brooklyn said they don't care what Brenda said, and since their system magically doesn't show any record of it, they will try to collect on the full amount. I have the original email with the final balance from their employee, so I'm not asking them to just take my word for it. Wow. All I can say is Wow. I definitely made the right decision to seek a new dentist, and I would urge everyone who cares about integrity and honesty to do the same. I've been going to JF for a few years and decided to quit now. The quality of dental care started to deteriorate since JF moved to the new location and expanded. For example, instead of referring me to a specialist, they said they can do my root canal work, but ended up not doing a good job and the tooth they treated got infected. I had to go to a specialist to get the root canal work redone and spent out of my own pocket for the expenses. What's also bothering me is the worsening quality of the dental hygiene work. The scaling and polishing process is getting less and less rigorous. They didn't even do the flossing for several times. At the end I had to make a request for flossing. In my most recent visit that's supposed to be a regular cleaning, the hygienist just examined my teeth and told me I needed deep cleaning (aka spending more money on what used to be part of the regular cleaning procedure). I was fine with the deep cleaning suggestion but what frustrated me was after lying on the dental chair for a full hour, she told me they won't do the regular cleaning on that day, but I had to make appointments for the deep cleaning. I asked if I could get my scheduled regular cleaning (every 3 months) on that day since that's what the original appointment was for. She declined. I wasted a full hour there for nothing! It's fine and I understand they want to make more money out of their clients, but can't they do it in a more graceful way? I decided enough is enough and I need to move on to a different dentist. read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. The dental hygienist Amber was terrible and never warned me what she was doing would hurt so much for a general cleaning. It was so painful that I was crying with visible tears on my face. She never once apologized for my obvious pain and didn't even offer me a tissue at the end to wipe my tears. I spoke with the office manager the next day about my negative experience and didn't receive a single "I'm sorry". She then went to blame my bad experience on my own personal teeth and not the lack of human decency and customer service the office is obviously lacking. read more

It's People First at Dr. Jonny Fisher's dental practice. I arrived Friday afternoon without an appointment to pick up a night guard to stop teeth grinding in sleep. It had been previously measured but didn't quite fit. Even though Dr Fisher normally is not in the Pullman office on Fridays, and without an appointment, Dr Fisher personally dealt with the fitting problem. He allowed me to upgrade to a more appropriate model and did not charge for the previous work. He personally measured, constructed, trimmed, and made sure the device fit perfectly, and I walked out of the office 30 minutes later amazed at a People First dental practice and with the night guard in my pocket. My son is a student at WSU but had not established dental services with any dentist in Pullman. He still used our family dentist when home from school. When he was five years old, he broke his two front teeth so he had fillings on his two front teeth for many years. While at school his two front tooth fillings unexpectedly fell out so his front teeth were jagged and unsightly. Despite our never having a relationship with their office, Dr Fisher and his staff worked their busy schedules and got my son in the very next day. They did a FANTASTIC job at fixing his teeth. They are beautiful! More importantly, they demonstrated compassion and outstanding service by getting him in so quickly. Thank you!!!!!! read more

I am not a regular patient of this dental care provider and I am glad I am not. I am a resident of Pullman, but didn't have a regular provider there in town yet. I went in to see Dr. Fisher because I was having some severe pain on the right side of my mouth/jaw. First things first, I didn't even see Dr. Fisher. Secondly, the provider that tested my teeth told me that I had normal reactions to the cold test and I still had a healthy root and yet he was still ready to conduct a root canal on my tooth. I was nervous about this diagnosis so I called my Seattle dentist. I tested normal for the second time with him and was told that I had some pretty severely stressed out jaw muscles. I was immediately put on medication to relax and relieve my mouth and jaw area. I currently do not feel any pain whatsoever because of the care I received from Dr. Brenner in Seattle. The worst part about my experience here at Jonny Fisher DDS is that they diagnosed me, saying I needed a root canal and couldn't get me in for over a week during some of the worst mouth/jaw pain I've ever had. (Without a pain reliever prescription) My regular dentist took immediate action and got me what I needed for the pain and I was fine within 3 days without the root canal work done. I will not recommend this facility to anyone in the future. read more

Originally I posted a very poor review of this practice. On 3/16/16 I received a call from Dr. Fisher to work out a solution to the problems laid out in my first review. The fact that Dr. Fisher took the time to call me personally and not have one of his office staff make the call was enough to get me to raise my rating of his practice from a one star to a four star review. That he listened to me and apologized for the situation is why I've given him and his practice five stars. I am now willing to recommend Dr. Fisher to anyone who needs dental work. read more

Pullman has the whole package in this dental office!!!!! My son started school in Pullman's and his regular dentist was here in Lacey. We were in need of care while he was at school and ran across Dr.Fisher and his team. Through phone calls,emails and my sons treatments we found Dr. Fisher and his staff to be professional,not stuffy, kind and nurturing ,not many of us enjoy going to the dentist! They worked around my sons schedule and gave us a treatment plan, I opted to pay in full immediately before treatment, just had a great feeling that we were in good hands! I was surprised to receive a refund on work they said as they went through treatments didn't need to be done appreciated the honesty and the prompt email asking where to send the refund to. I have had good and bad experiences with dentists over the years and had I lived in Pullman I know where I would be going. Before and after pictures were sent to me and the work was awesome. The kindness, friendliness of the whole team is truly what makes this office memorable.
