Waiting time is almost non-existent, they always start on time. Dr. Montes and her surgical assistants are caring and concerned about making me comfortable with their diagnosis and treatment. They did recommend some procedures that I know I need, but since those teeth aren't bothering me, I haven't scheduled anything and they accepted my decision. My experience with Montes Periodontics is among the best I've had with any type of medical professional. Simply excellent!

I never have to wait in the waiting area long upon checking in, and once I'm in the chair things move swiftly and comfortably. Typically I only see him about twice a year, and luckily haven't had to go in for any major dental work or procedures. All of the assistants and hygienists that I have had have all been lovely and very accommodating. I think I usually see Lindsay, but Bria is also great. I have unreasonably large tonsils, so anytime I go in for a dental cleaning it can be a bit difficult for me to breathe. I find I have to take a lot of quick breaks for a breath or swallow. They are always so kind and offer to go as slow as needed. I also really appreciate when a hygienist isn't heavy handed when scraping and cleaning my teeth prior to polishing. The office is clean, and front desk staff is helpful and diligent when making future appointments. I feel as though their main concern is acquiring as much $ as possible. The most recent experience, and the reason I asked them to remove us as patients, was a simple $160 bill that I did not feel was handled correctly. We did owe this, and I did pay it. However, the way it was handled was completely wrong. My wife had a fairly major procedure that cost us over $2500 plus whatever our insurance limit for the year was. Kiki from the office scheduled a follow up for my wife and persuaded her to also schedule a cleaning. This took place in December. If we had waited just a bit longer, our insurance would have covered everything as it would have rolled into 2014. I called to discuss this with the office manager, Joyce, when I received my explanation of benefits. I simply asked if there was anything she could do, especially considering how much business we had done with them. She said that she understood and would talk to the Dr. and call me back. I never received a call, just a bill in the mail. When I called back to discuss, she said "I guess you didn't get my email". Then told me there was nothing I could do and blamed my wife, stating that it was she that pushed to go ahead and schedule the cleaning. I understand that ultimately I am responsible for payment. That is why I paid, but I also understand that doctors' offices have the ability to see where patients stand with their insurance. I would highly recommend to anyone that you find another service provider and do not give this office a chance. I do hope this review helps someone else out before it is too late!

She reassured me that my dental "anxieties" would be treated very serious and Dr. Birch and Staff would do their best to accommodate me! When I arrived in the office, I was greeted by friendly staff! My dental hygienist was Pamela and she was as friendly and like a "friend I haven't seen in years!" She listened and was informed ahead of time about my dental anxieties! Dr. Birch came in and introduced himself and I really liked how he explained in detail what the procedure was and how he was going to make it 'all better'!!! He is very down to earth and a great listener! He was very personable and made me laugh by the end of the visit! The entire staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful!
