a man sitting at a table with a plate of food

Came here with my boyfriend for a bite to eat. My boyfriend knew this tavern well as his dad use to come to this bar all the time. Looks like the tavern has changed since his time when it was bought out by the Cave Springs owners. Looks like they renovated it nicely with a fresh look. We were greeted and seated promptly where a server was at our table within minutes. We ordered lunch with a diverse menu to chose from. I had the feature soup with a eggplant sandwich and my boyfriend had the feature seafood pasta. Both meals were served promptly. The portion sizes were more than generous. Soon enough the tavern was filled with guests where it may have been under staffed to serve the filled tavern. Food was okay. Served hot but the seafood pasta did taste a bit fishy. The fries are delicious and j would say was the best part of the meal. We took a doggy bag to go. Overall, experience was good.

Great service, fantastic food....covid sucks! Although we had a very romantic dinner having the place to ourselves (it was also late), I miss the people and energy when the pub is alive and thriving. Please consider going to the Jordan house next time you want a great tasting meal and know they are taking all precautions when it comes to being covid safe. Recommend are the buffalo cauliflower bites, wings and fish and chips. Remember to help our local restaurants and businesses and remember the Jordan House Tavern.

French Onion soup was not great. Chicken wings were good.

We didn't reserve in advance (which I now highly recommend). The wait was about an hour, but we passed the time at the nearby Churchill with a pre‑drink, and they texted us when our table was ready. The Sunday night jazz band was fantastic. The staff is incredibly friendly, and they work together as a team to take care of you. Amber was our primary server - she was great. Service for both drinks and food was quick, and the cozy Irish pub atmosphere made it even better. Definitely try to reserve ahead on the website if you can. If not, just plan to relax at one of the nearby pubs until your table is ready.

As for the food, my partner got the pulled pork sandwich with fries and I got the lemon pepper chicken wings. The chicken wings were good but, they put too much lemon pepper seasoning that I couldn't finish it. The portion sizes were good though and we left full. The vibe of the place was really nice. It was a good spot to take a rest from all the Niagara Falls adventures you had that day! The service was also good as well as we were seated right away.

After three wineries, my husband was definitely ready for some food. When you walk in, you definitely feel like you're entering an English pub! The bar, and place, ent of the bar was very traditional to pubs in the UK. Our server Lawerence definitely helped with his English accent! When asked where he was from, he said Bristol! He came to Canada after her sister relocated. He originally was a cook, but given his accent, they asked hi. To move to the front! Well done. He was a great server too! Very friendly! We decided to share the sausage rolls and shepherds pie. My husband had two Guinness! I'm not sure where he put it in top of the wine, but glad I was driving. The sausage rolls were very tasty. The mustard that came for dipping was the perfect accompaniment. The shepherd's pie had a dark Guinness gravy that was rich and flavorful. I enjoyed the side of peas and carrots too! Sharing these two was the perfect amount, however we wished we'd got the poutine! It looked amazing, it would've been too much food though. Guess we will need to return! PS: loved seeing the sign for Upper Canada Brewing company! In 1988, I visited them with my college partner as we did a college paper on microbrewers! At that time, they were one of a few. We also had visited Great Lakes brewing in CLE! The microbrewing industry exploded shortly there after! Was a great personal walk down memory lane for my college days!! While Upper Canada was sold, was just excellent to see an old sign!

I got into Canada early, so I decided to go have some lunch. I walked in, and immediately felt like I just came home. The bartender, this lovely young woman named Onya, came up and took my order. I ordered a black and tan. She suggested I go for the smooth black and tan which I did. It did not disappoint! I may have to have my black and tans like this for the rest of my life. I ordered a cup of the buffalo wing chowder, and she said it's one of the most popular items on the menu. I asked her to bring that out first before my Classic Caesar salad. Let me tell you something about that soup. Now I'm not a big soup guy, but I do like chowders, and this was the absolute best I've ever had. Had. I've had clam chowder all over the United States but man this one absolutely nails it! It has that buffalo wing flavor which just perfect and not overpowering. I should have gotten the bigger bowl of it instead of the cup. Now let's talk about the Caesar salad. It was absolutely perfect! It had the perfect ratio of dressing to lettuce, not just poured on top like most places but actually tossed. Onya said she did it herself, so massive kudos for her going above and beyond the call of duty. Overall this meal hit on all cylinders and did not disappoint. I will definitely be back here a couple more times while I'm in Canada. If you need to find me, you know where to find me. The bottom line? You really need to get the buffalo chicken wing chowder. It is absolutely an amazing soup and will change your life. And if you like a good classic Caesar, you can't do better than this one!

I was glad we sat further away because it would have interfered with conversation, but I appreciated the singing (just a little loud for me). I enjoyed my ravioli, and my friend was very happy with her baby back ribs. And if you're from USA, know that the iced tea comes sweetened.

This is a roadside eatery, the menu comprises sandwiches, burgers, and all day breakfast. We stopped in after wine shopping and needed a late lunch. After perusing the menu we chose Bacon and Eggs and a toasted Western Sandwich. Both were well prepared, flavourful, and satisfying. My sole disappointment was that I didn't try the Poutine, especially as it's made with fresh Cheese Curds. The place is not large and contains maybe a dozen tables, this include freestanding tables and booths. The booths comprise diner classic wooden benches and melamine table surfaces. The roadside diner experience was capped off when we receive our hand written check. We left your cash tip on the table and paid our bill at the cash register. We will definitely be back.
