Really enjoy eating at Butcher & Banker. It's one of the few restaurants in Beamsville that is…read moreconsistently good food at decent prices. Service is hit or miss but our waitress last night was lovely. We dined in around 730 pm and were greeted and sat quickly. We got kids meals, the Thai chicken bites appetizer, Stuffed Beef Yorkie (my fave!) and Fish & Chips. All hot, fresh and flavourful which is hard to come by it seems. For a family of four with appetizer & meals it's around $100 which I find reasonable when the food is tasty! Nothing worse than spending $150 and the food and service were awful. Only reason I gave 4 stars is the interior could use a deep clean. The benches have a velvet fabric and are just super stained and feel dirty, menus not the cleanest. Honestly a good wipe down of the place would go a long way. Won't deter us from coming back though, quite the gem here in the Beamer!

Weather was nice so we sat out on the patio with 2 of 9 tables empty. Patio was a nice option. Seating is adjacent to the parking lot and near a busy road but hanging plants and market lights made it not so noticeable. We were greeted promptly and offered drinks. We were looking for iced tea but it wasn't on the menu. We were offered hot tea that we could put into a glass of ice and decided to go with a coke instead. Ordered beef dip with fries and grilled chicken wrap with a side salad. Both were tasty and ample sized. Salad was more than basic including cucumbers, tomatoes, onions and sweet peppers. Most of the patio emptied out and then service slowed as well. We ran out of drinks and then also had to go inside to request the check. Pleasant place and would recommend.

Super flavourful, refreshing, and unique. The food was just as impressive. I had the Brisket Burger, which was delicious--tangy, spicy, and packed with flavour. My wife ordered the Buffalo Cauliflower Sandwich and loved it. The cauliflower was crispy, perfectly cooked, and had just the right amount of kick. Staff is lovely too, accommodating and nice to talk to. Great beer, great food, and a chill vibe--definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!

The space is very reminiscent of an old English/Irish pub. Located right in the heart of downtown St Catherine's, my wife and I were promptly welcomed in by the staff as if we were regulars. There was a good selection of in house brews, the bartender was quick to offer suggestions, but we let him know we were told to check out the blueberry wheat. We only had time to stay for one drink, but had a good time, the beer was great and we had a good chat with the bartender. Very frequently and welcoming. We only wish we'd had a time to go back and try some other beers. Hopefully we will get a chance to return one day

Had a craving while visiting the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, and this popped up on Yelp as one…read moreof the best options for that around. They certainly had plenty of options! Massive menu of burgers, spanning a range of style from thick to smash, flames to griddle, and even typed of meat or non-meat. Quite frankly, if you can't find a burger that calls to you here, you must be very difficult to please. It was a Sunday, and the general area was thumping, this place was about half full and the vibe was relaxed. They're not on the absolutely main drag of Clifton Hill, and honestly, I would hope that benefits them both in price of rent and who might find it easy to wander in. There is paid parking nearby, cheaper than most because to get down to the falls is a bit of a hike. The hike back will be pretty far uphill, but we made it no problem. I love that the sodas come in a giant measuring cup, not much need for a refill, but they do give them complimentary if you ask for one. We started with standard poutine as an appetizer, it was really tasty. Nice flavor on the gravy, and a large amount of cheese curds. Instead of getting more fries as a side, went for a caesar salad. Was surprised to see bacon on it, but I definitely didn't hate that. It was quite good. I got a double smash burger with a nice thick onion ring on it and their version of burger sauce, as well as a spice relish to kick things up a notch. First thing, my patties were smashed very nicely, and there was a clear crispy crust on them. Bravo, I was pretty impressed, and the flavor was robust. I loved the spicy relish, and the bun also complemented the meat well. It was a big burger, and I was thoroughly satisfied. The service, maybe could have been slightly more attentive, but really just took awhile to take our order. Once it was taken, we had no complaints. Very friendly, everything was accurate, and like I said... big drink cups means not a ton of need for refills. I would come back here again on a future visit to the falls.
