We went through more in-depth NIPT testing, and everything came back normal, yet that assumption never seemed to shift or be further investigated. Starting in January 2026, I was seen weekly at Dr. Brar's office. During this time, I rarely saw Dr. Sadjadi and trusted that between both offices, my care was being properly managed. Looking back, that trust feels incredibly misplaced. Despite being seen every single week for a high-risk pregnancy, not once was my blood pressure checked. I was later diagnosed with preeclampsia, with blood pressure reaching 158/102 -- a serious and dangerous condition that should have been caught much earlier with routine monitoring. Instead, it was missed entirely. This ultimately led to an emergency induction and the devastating loss of my baby at 26 weeks. There are no words to fully describe the pain of that loss. What makes it even harder is knowing that something as basic and standard as checking blood pressure -- a fundamental part of prenatal care, especially in high-risk cases -- was completely overlooked during consistent, weekly visits. Follow up with Sadjadi regarding this care left me feeling dismissed and unheard - she would simply tell me "oh honey don't stress" and never addressed my concerns. I feel deeply let down by both Dr. Brar's office and Dr. Sadjadi at Optum. The lack of attention, oversight, and accountability during such a critical time in my life is something I will carry with me forever. I simply asked to be sent my results through email and they said yes and never did. Called again same results it was now 3 times. So I went in person and the girl at the front desk told me they are not allowed to give me MY results In person or email till I consulted them with a physician. I asked if that was an office policy? She said no and repeatedly told me they could not give me my results till I spoke to a doctor. She then asked me if I wanted a doctor appt over the phone for a $200 consultation for people without insurance and a follow up . I do not have insurance. I said no. His reasoning was that the human body can survive 30 days without food. Not a single concern about lack of nutrition or the impact starvation has on heart health. He then went on to tell me to never make an appointment or call, text or email the office only. When I did email them asking for a prescription renewal, I was lied to and told they sent it to my pharmacy when they did not.
