I had an appt scheduled for 6 months. Did pre-check in, showed up 15 minutes before my appt. The woman at the front desk(the right side when you walk through the doors)...took them a while to figure out my insurance for some reason so I stood at the desk for a bit while they figured it out but that was okay. Said I was checked in and could sit. I SAT FOR AN HOUR PAST MY APPT TIME UNTIL I HAD TO GO UP AND ASK AND SHE SAID "oh I signed you in but I didn't check you in, that's my bad." She didn't even notice me sitting there for so long while everyone else went before me. No apology. Especially after they couldn't even get me in that day after all that. So she then rescheduled an appointment time for me without even confirming the time with me. I just left and said nope. I can live without going to the dentist for a while. She explains in detail what she will be doing and is extremely pleasant. Dental visits aren't something anyone looks forward to however, she makes all the difference. I went to JV because I had a broken tooth, lots of pain from the exposed nerves. JV is supposed to be for emergencies, which is why I was there. Checked in, told them the problem, they said someone would be you to do "triage." Charged me $45 for the triage. About two hours later, someone came out, told me to come back the next day as a "walk in." That was my "triage?" Came back the next day, wanted another $45 for "triage." I explained I had already paid and hadn't received any "triage, " instead I was told to come back, today. They wanted another $45 for "triage." Dental Assistant/Hygienist asked me what the problem was? I explained I had a broken tooth, lots of pain, due to nerve exposure. She wanted to look at it. She told me she could make an appointment for me, sometime this week. I asked her how much? She said about $150 but that was to "look at it." Then about $300 if the dentist thought it needed to be extracted. She wasn't a dentist so she couldn't say. I asked her about the "triage?" Turns out, her looking at my broken tooth, to determine it was broken was their idea of "triage." Really? $45 for something I already knew? Then another $150 to "look at it" and $300 for an extraction? I went to OMS and for $150 they examined and extracted the tooth. I'd recommend staying away from JV. read more

What a disappoint in this business. They obviously don't care about potential patients. I was referred and tried calling their listed number. Phone connected with music and then after 14 minutes of no answer I tried a second listed number FOR THE DENTAL in Springfield. Again same issue of no one answering until 18 minutes and then the I was told I would have to be transferred to the "dental" ( of which I was already calling that number). Then I went on their"DENTAL" website and was going to make an appointment. After selecting the dental link and then choosing location, I went to make an appointment. Normal information until the drop down selection menu under "I'm making an appointment for". THERE IS NOTHING THERE FOR DENTAL. I had my reservations about Jordan Valley Dental. The reviews either say they're great or terrible. I've had a lot of dental work throughout my life and feel it important to make an honest and experienced review of this clinic. Short story-Stop reading and get down there or schedule an appointment. Longer story - -I needed two extractions in a BIG way. Emergency style. I was at their door at 7:00 am without insurance and without existing patronage. There wasn't ever a moment I felt loss of confidence in this staff. They were attentive, professional, and much faster than I expected. I have nothing but good things to say about this clinic and the staff. If they had problems in the past, I couldn't see any that still exist. And, that comes from an experienced eye that was looking for them. I'm not going to detail my expense because it was so little I would have paid 3x as much and still be thrilled. Excellent work. Dentist Kelsey Alberg - I don't normally write reviews but my experience today was very bad. To make a long story short I don't have confidence in dentist Kelsey Alberg to work on my teeth. She looked away and wasn't paying attention while she had the numbing needle still in my gum! Then while she was using the dental drill a dental assistant stopped by the room to talk to her. The drill was still going while she looked away twice to talk to the dental assistant! She wasn't focused on what she was doing while she was working on my teeth and it made me very nervous to continue. But once she started on the cavities it's not like I could leave. . . To be fair I talked with the clinic manager afterwards and she was very polite and professional and assured me she would speak with her. read more

Our appointment was at 9 and we checked in at 8:30. It's 10:20 and we've never been called back. I've spoken to two different ladies at the desk and been given two different reasons why. One lady told me my daughter was scheduled for chair 2 wisdom teeth removal and they would be out in just a few minutes to get her. 30 minutes later I spoke to another lady at the desk that told me no, this is just a consult and she was never scheduled for chair 2. She also told me that because it's Wednesday they have walk ins and that has pushed me daughter's appointment back. No apology, just a huge smile as she shrugged her shoulders and said it sounds like miscommunication. I will never recommend this place for dental. read more

Obviously no one knows anything and everyone is constantly asking each other things when I ask a question. Before I got a fill, I asked for a quote, keep in mind I'm a slide ONE and it should be 50% off. I ended up paying $92 for one filling when I got quotes $47. 92/2 is close to $47. But I am still charged $92 because it's a "two surface BUT ONE filling". It's just ridiculous because I have gone here for years and i don't know if the pricing has gone up but it is ridiculous people come here for help and lower prices for lower income families or even single mothers. So people, check your prices at private practices...you might find a better deal with longer experience for the same price. The "slides" are a joke read more

Last week I had a tooth that got cracked it expose the nerve and was very painful I also had another tooth that was very loose. Being as I have VA medical and no dental insurance I called around to try to find a space that I could get in to get my teeth looked at. Ended up making an appointment at Aspen dental in Branson. They said they had a coupon for a free exam and x-ray and would be able to pull the two teeth that were giving me issues on Saturday. After arrival all they were going to do is charge me for the initial exam then discuss pricing and options and then have me come back another day in a week or so to have procedures done to fix my problem. It is not what was told to me on the phone and they were very rude disrespectful and Borla said well that's what will do tough. Made a few calls to other dentists in the area that we're actually open on Saturday as in Mountainhome Arkansas the earliest appointment I could even get in to get looked at was second week of May. Finally one of the other dentist that I contacted referred me to Jordan Valley healthcare system in Springfield. I called them they were very nice they said they would be able to get me in and get me taken care of just to come on in. Once I arrived the receptionist in the lobby was very nice actually helped out as they have grants available to help people in need of emergency healthcare with a ER diversion grant. It took about 30 minutes To get into see the dentist Dr. Derek and his assistant Scally helped me with my issue. They removed the two teeth which wasn't easy as the upper one the route had broken off and was still in the gum they had to get it out they did they stitched it with one stitch and took care of me to where I was no longer in pain. These people were very professional very nice and concerned about my condition. With the grant That the receptionist had me fill out the total cost for the procedure visit and everything was $25. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who is in need of dental care whether it's emergency or not as they were caring clean professional and very nice people. Omg the worst dental place to go too. They drilled on my teeth when i wasnt numbed up and they were mean to me about it. Am 33 weeks pregnant . Almost past out from the trama of them jamming the needle into my gums . Told me to roll over on my side so i would pass out. Was treated so horrible! Please dont go to this place. I actually had a very good experience with them. I had been experiencing extreme pain in my lower right molar. After a week it was evident I had an infection. Old filling had fallen out and tooth had cracked. It was a matter of time. Anyway, 2 days before July 4th I called them and they got me in the next day. I wanted the tooth removed. I found them to be very professional and compassionate. They took the necessary xrays. They agreed my tooth was in bad shape. The dentist and his assistant communicated well with me about my tooth, made sure I was numbed properly and pulled my tooth in 1 minute, no complications. Informed me of the after care needed and to call if I have any problems. I had none. I have taken care of wound properly and its healing perfectly. read more

RUN away from this dental clinic !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They've put in two fillings for me and both spontaneously fell out after a few weeks. The second time it happened I started developing symptoms of infection in the tooth without the filling, as the Jordan Valley staff took their own sweet time getting me back in to take a look. In the mean time, despite the fact that I described the developing infection over the phone,offered to come in to be examined, and am a healthcare professional myself, the dentist,just to be sadistic and prove that he didn't have to take suggestions from a patient, refused to order an antibiotic for me.( It generally takes several days just to get anyone there to answer the phone.)As a direct result of the dentist not following clinical standards,apparently to teach me the lesson that patients aren't supposed to question him when his filling falls out 8 weeks later; I had to pay a physician for an office visit to get the antibiotic that the dentist should have ordered,had to pay another dentist to put in a temporary filling,had to have a root canal, and later a crown.The alternative would have been to have the tooth completely extracted. If this group of rejects who can't work anywhere except at Jordan Valley Clinic in Springfield, MO, had simply done what they were supposed to in the first place I wouldn't have needed anything except the initial filling. Doing business with Jordan Valley Dental Clinic MAY save you a little bit of money if you're lucky or it may cost you out the nose! By doing business there you're playing roulette:Their staff's screw-ups, their actions that give the appearance of willfully defying clinical standards,and their going up to a week without answering the phone at the dental clinic, ultimately results in customers paying hundreds or even thousands to undo Jordan Valley Dental Clinic's damage. Just because they're the only game in Springfield doesn't mean you have to tolerate abuse and malpractice from them.Any city that has a school of dentistry has a low cost dental clinic.When this outfit starts in with their BS (that is,if they even answer the phone) just say "No" and find a ride to Fayetteville or KC. read more

My granddaughter chipped her new permanent front tooth, and I can't tell you how pleased I am with Jordan Valley Dental. After the initial chip, Dr Popejoy followed up frequently, until it was decided a root canal would be needed. Today, my 10 year old granddaughter spent 1 1/2 hours in the chair, was encouraged, treated kindly, patiently, and painlessly. My great thanks to Dr Thress (I think) and assistant Anzhela F.
