Enroute to Washington DC from Buffalo, we stopped at the halfway point for some much needed food and stretching. This town was very nice and we pinpointed it, to check it out again during a future trip. The snow started hitting hard, so walking into the bright, warm and lively bar/restaurant was exactly what we needed mid road trip. Almost all the tables were full, so we chose to sit at the end of the bar, almost full of take out boxes (usually a good sign). The menu was full of your bar favorites, but included variations and suggested offerings. I liked the options in sides, burger lb sizes, sandwich and starter options- which catered to our groups diverse palate. The staff were busy, but had character, were nice and honest in opinions when engaged about their menu. I took the bartenders suggestion to have the Guiness Burger, scrapped the chips for curly fries with ranch dressing, and had a side salad to start. Everything was fresh and crispy, and picturesque lol. Came out, as if they were made in a tester kitchen. The place was real clean, inviting and the beer selection in the cleanly lit beer coolers were tempting- had we not had a long trip ahead of us. Maybe we will stop by on our way back to try more. My friends had the crinkle cut fries with nacho cheese, steak sub, cowboy burger and hot dog. Everyone enjoyed their meals. read more

Oh my goodness. Ignore your first impression (definite dive bar feel) and go here to eat! We went around 8pm on a Saturday and it was still very family-friendly at that time. Pros: Great adult beverage selection (hard sodas, Redd's ale, ciders) Delicious food, which is really all that matters: Philly cheese steak (9/10 with 10 being authentic Philadelphia cheese steak from Leo's) Buffalo chicken pizza (perfect mix of buffalo & ranch, delicious breading on superb chicken, crispy crust!) Chicken bacon ranch sandwich (superb chicken scores again in this one, assisted by crisp bacon-- would be delicious as a pizza also) Club sandwich (tasty fresh bacon + crisp lettuce + yummy cold cuts + hint of grilled cheese deliciousness =YUM) Cons: Most seating is bar height 4 tops (no surprise-- it's a bar) and the few standard height tables only seat two people. Atmosphere was nice. I would consider this a dive bar. Waitress was very friendly and offer different drinks for our group. Food came out hot but took some time to get it to us. The place wasn't busy at all. I got a Pittsburgh style panini which I've had at other establishments. Very hard to pick up because the bottom piece of bread was so soggy. It fell apart of me. My guess was the slaw was very wet and not properly drained before it was added to the sandwich. And since my panini was toasted, it soaked up all the vinegar etc. The fresh cut fries were very good. We are from NY state and make it a point to stop here any time we get to Ridgeway. It looks like a bar from outside, but it is really nice inside. Their burgers are really good with many options to choose from. They usually have several craft beers on tap. If you have really little kids you may want to choose something else. We love it!! I give Jordan's two thumbs the F*#K UP!! Good food, friendly service and sometimes live music. I like to go get drunk at Jordan's so I do that often. They have TVs and will even change the channel for you if you ask nicely. There's a pool table and a pinball machine if you're bored. Oh they also have touchtunes so you can choose the music. Slow to order, slow to get food, slow to pay. Even when the place is nearly empty. Don't think bartenders are well trained in how to care for customers. I sit at the bar to watch tv. Once got sloppy wings - no napkin. Once got fries - no ketchup, no napkin. Once got burger, no salt pepper, no condiments, no napkin. Once I came in to relax after a hard day. Just wanted a beer and some music. Place was virtually empty except for blond waitress and three guys who were buddies of hers. They were watching Lip Sync with the Stars on Spike tv. I Ordered a craft and put $5 in juke. Played all Otis Redding. Dock of the Bay came on with good healthy volume. Bartender immediately turned the volume way down. I said "Excuse me. I'm kinda deaf. Can't hear the music. Please turn it back up." She turned it up one notch. Really pissed me off. $5 wasted. I gulped my beer and walked out. They went back to watching Lip Sync with the Stars. To our good fortune, the chef at the Hallton Hilton didn't show up for work on a Friday night which forced us to expand our search for a fine culinary experience. Our expectations were low and our hunger was great when our hunt for a burger brought us to the doorsteps of Jordan's. This is a wonderful establishment! The service is fast and friendly, the prices are good, the quality of the food is excellent and surprisingly diverse and creative. If you can put something like the burger you presented before me next to the pathetic excuse for drinks and service presented to me and my girlfriend at Jordan's as one of two couples in the entire establishment. Then I assure you this is the place to go! Please don't get me wrong the, the wings are to die for, the appetizers are lovely. But I just can't grasp what planet you would have to come from to put such an utter disappointment of a burger on a plate let alone in front of a customer, and then not have the sense to ask why the mess left on the plate after simply trying to cut into halves was dissatisfying. I mean, I could understand why my girlfriend might not have tasted an ounce of vodka in her screwdriver after the short time we had with our first waitress as she seemed to be having a bad night judging by her attitude when I stopped her to ask for an order of deep fried pickles (for the life of me I'm still wondering where that double shot of vodka went in my vodka sprite?) Since the only thing I drink when I go out is grey goose I can assure you my lush self knows when it's in the glass. But the last thing I expected was the mess that followed. The food itself was good at Jordans, but to be honest my husband and I did not get the warm and fuzzy feeling from locals which added to the whole experience. I would say If your a local, its a great spot. As a minority I would steer clear, unless you don't mind being stared at, and the whole resteraunt going silent when you enter, we are an outgoing and friendly couple and on a busy Friday night not one word was said to us besides our server. My family and I were on a road trip and decided to stop at Jordan's Bar and Grill for lunch, based on the reviews. On the upside, the place was clean and not very busy (Wednesday after Christmas). The service was fine. The food however, was really subpar. The kiddos had hotdogs and basic cheeseburgers and seemed to like them ok. My husband and I ordered a Greek Burger and a Ranch Burger. Both burgers, although swimming in sauce and mine with a fried egg on top were extremely dry. The fries were burnt to the point that even my 7,4, and 2 year olds wouldn't touch them. Another hit or miss type place- sometimes the food is good, sometimes not so much. The staff is really nice at least, so that gets them an extra star. They also have a pool table and a couple of arcade games and darts, so that can keep you occupied while you wait on your food, which sometimes is pretty quick, and other times, quite a wait. Great comfortable bar, located in a nice part of the town of Ridgeway, PA. Bar is well maintained and clean. Great appetizers, sandwiches, and burgers among other foods including breakfast. Try the "Big A" burger, a 1/2 pound burger sandwiched between two grilled cheese sandwiches. Bar has a great atmosphere, televisions and a jukebox.
