I only got pictures of the menu, because out of the 4 of us, the bartender got 1 order right. I'm gonna be honest... Walking in, it looked like a pretty cool restaurant/ bar! I was told it's a great place to eat if your in the area. Its located in one of the busiest parts of Elk Country, near Benezette PA. During leaf peeping time-this place was crazy busy but we took our chances. Being very loud... I pointed to the item on the menu, simple chicken tenders and a side salad. She asked what dressing I would like ect. I got 4 chicken nuggets and no salad. She said it would take a while for a side salad, and charged for the side of ranch dressing? My sister, another simple order, chicken tender dinner that came w fries. she asked to upgrade the fries to add chili, waitress say ok. She got her chili on a separate side of fries which she was charged for Next, a bowl of chili- he got a bowl of cream of Broccoli- The only thing that came out right was a cheeseburger! I swear no one is trained right And I'm not sorry for saying this, but if you know that it's the busiest weekend at the end of summer, GET SOME REAL HELP! PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT PEOPLE ARE ORDERING! The place is nothing special , mostly deer hunters in the fall, fishermen, and people that have camps in the area. . A bar and grill in the heart of Pa elk country. We always go back because the food is really good. I do have to say that the cheese steak is one of the best I have ever eaten or maybe the best I have ever eaten. I'm going to start this review with the fact that the Garlic Butter wings from this establishment were some of the best I have ever had. However, they were not a 2.5 hour wait "best I ever had". We waited for over an hour for drinks and 2.5 hour for our food to arrive. We were a group of 15 spread out over 4 tables, mostly as couples, but let me add that when we arrived for our lunch they were not over busy, but I believe under-staffed for a Friday afternoon during tourist season. That being said, I understand that it can happen, but our waitress was absolutely, without a doubt, rude, impatient and acted as if it was a huge inconvenience that we chose the Driftwood to have our lunch that day. I have been a waitress for many years and never do I ever think to NOT leave a tip, for I know that slowness is not the fault of the waitress, but I seriously contemplated it this time. When asked if they had coke or pepsi from a gentleman sitting at our table of 4, she spat back "We have both! What do you want?" Also, after 45 minutes of waiting for drinks (which I may add that a table that came in AFTER us had drinks, food and drink refills before we received our drinks (Perhaps they were local / regulars?) I went in to ask if she needed me to carry our drinks out to the table to help her out a bit and she snips "I'm working on them, they're not ready yet!" - 2 Cokes, 1 water and 1 draft beer were not ready after an hour. She did not check on us while we waited, asked if we needed refills on drinks, or give us an update or apology for the ridiculous wait time. A few sentences and actions that could have made this experience a lot less frustrating. She passed out our food when it arrived and we didn't see her again until she was passing out checks. Not a smile once, not once. And yes, I did tip, to the dismay of my husband. I did not want to bring myself down to her level. I would NEVER employ a waitress who acted that way towards customers. It definitely seals the deal, even though the wings were amazing, that I (and 14 other people) will not be back next year. read more
