I needed a suit for an out of state wedding on Saturday. I went to the Warrington, PA location on Monday and asked if they could have a suit for me by Friday. The manager assured me they could. After the manager picked out a suit a shirt and a tie, and took my measurements, I went up to pay. The manager kept ringing things up, concealing the printouts in his hand, then crumpling them up and throwing them in the trash. Eventually, he printed out a receipt and told me my total was over $600. I was surprised, since I typically get suits at Jos A Banks in Princeton for $200-$300 range. I shrugged it off, assuming I was getting raped, but what's a few hundred between friends? I left with my receipt and an assurance my suit would be ready on Friday. (As an aside, I work in Warminster, PA, but live in Princeton, NJ.) On Wednesday, the manager texted me on my cellphone to tell me the suit, which had to be shipped, did not arrive, was somewhere in NJ, and he had changed the shipping to have it delivered to my house in Princeton. I would need to drive it to him when it arrived (1.5 hours each way) so he could have it altered. I kindly told him he was out of his mind. He then told me he would arrange to get the same suit from Philadelphia himself and I just needed to bring the suit (which was coming to my house) to him on Friday. On Friday, I brought the delivered suit to work, then took my lunch break to bring the suit to the Warrington store to pick up my ready suit for the wedding on Saturday. I didn't have time to try the suit on, but foolishly assumed it would be fine. I drove to Virginia Friday night with the suit, planning to wear it at the wedding the next day. When I got to the hotel, I tried on the suit, only to find one pant leg an inch too short and the other pant leg MORE THAN AN INCH SHORTER. (Photo included). I was horrified with the situation and texted the manager (on the same number he had been texting me) to pretty much tell him how royally screwed up this was. His response was, "Sir, this is my PRIVATE PHONE. If you aren't satisfied, bring the suit back on Monday for a refund." I, of course, apologized for how badly I mistreated him. The next morning, I called the closest Jos A Bank to where I was. The manager in Arlington, VA had me come right over. He tsk tsked at the horror that was my suit-pants and said they were cut WAY too short to even be altered to fit me. Amazingly, he had the same pants in my size. He had them fitted and tailored while I waited. He then did an even exchange for the pants I brought and refunded the difference between PA taxes and VA taxes. I have been very pleased with the quality of merchandise and the customer service at the Warrington Joseph A. Bank store. My daughter was recently married and Tyler was of great assistance in helping my husband find a suit for the wedding. Mario has excellent taste. He spent a very generous amount of time advising and helping my grandson select a new suit, shirt, tie, shoes and sport coat. Jim, the manager, went out of his way to be sure that a pair of slacks arrived in time for the wedding. For all these reasons, I highly recommend the Warrington Joseph A. Bank store. read more

We went in to buy suits for my father and groomsmen. It was fairly busy but the manager greeted us. We understand how difficult it is to tend to more than one customer so we walked around and waited for an employee to be available. The issue we ran into was the fact that once the store started clearing out and becoming empty, the available employee (Mario) did not ask if we needed help. The only reason we know his name is because he mentioned it to a previous customer. We made eye contact but he did not come to us to ask if we needed help although he knew we were there for quite some time. I (a person of color) noticed he also ignored the other people of color in the store. It was extremely off putting when a Caucasian couple came into the store and he immediately asked if they needed help. The manager was great being attentive to a customer, the cashier was great being attentive, but Mario was going around the store choosing who he wants to help. We didn't appreciate being treated like that and decided to leave. This is the second time coming to this location and being ignored by Mario. read more

Needed to return a tuxedo and walked into a full store. I was concerned about how long it would take to wait but someone came up to me and took my return right away. I needed a receipt so he scanned a tag inside the bag and found my account and was able to print a return receipt. Pleasantly surprised, considering there were people waiting to try on clothes and to return items. Great customer service. read more

I bought a suit. 40 regular with 34 inch waist. Except the waist was 33 inches. I think they run small so you have to pay to have it altered. read more

Went to pick up a suit for a wedding that I'm apart of. I worked with Sam on getting the right measurements and ensuring that the fit was to my liking. He was very pleasant to work with and the entire process was quick and painless. Definitely would recommend the Warrington location, my experience was very positive. read more

I have loved Jos. A. Banks for over 10 years. Their clothes, I mean, but have never had a good experience with their sales folk. Not one time, not in any store. I'd try to go in and buy exactly what I needed without engaging them. They were singularly trained to be rude and obnoxious, I thought, trying not to show disdain for the likes of me. Their suits, sports coats, outwear, dress pants and shirts - 5 stars every time. Their tailoring, 5 stars. Their sales folk were also consistent - negative stars. Until now. At this location, there is a new manager, Sharon Clipner who is one of the best salespersons I have ever met. Friendly, engaging, and has great suggestions. Bonus points - she actually works with my 7 year old's curiosity. What a difference. And it is no coincidence that I end up buying more than what I planned to each time. Very happily. If I could put a negative star review I would. DO NOT use this place for tuxedo rentals for wedding parties. "Rog" could not even process a simple refund after they overcharged me in the first place and showing him the two different prices charged on the receipts. Luckily this was the only personal issue I had but we had a laundry list of other issues with the other groomsmen including one groomsmen getting the completely wrong tuxedo. read more

I will not do business with Jos. A. Banks again, at least not at their Warrington, PA store. I bought an expensive suit and sport jacket. The suit needed to be altered, and while I was in the changing room the sales person put the jacket directly into a carrying bag after I tried it on. I did not notice it at the fitting (or they gave me a different jacket), but when I got home I found the jacket was so wrinkled it was unwearable. I took the jacket back to the store when I picked up my altered suit and was told bluntly " we never let a wrinkled garment leave the store", implying I was lying and it was my fault that the jacket was wrinkled. I related the circumstances of the purchase and grudgingly they pressed the jacket (twice). My altered suit also needed pressing before I left with it, but only pressed it on my request. "Satisfaction guaranteed." Don't believe it! read more

I was debating 2 stars versus 1. They get 2 just for the fact that the week of the wedding a kind woman came through to help us out but the damage had already been done. Now, let's get one thing straight, we love Jos A Banks for everyday work attire. Jos A is where he gets all of suits for work but when it comes to weddings they are awful. It was a mix of an employee who was a jerk and screwed up our order to begin with followed by multiple people trying to fix the problem hence making it worse then a 3rd party vendor who did not get the correct order to begin with hence causing mass confusion. At the end of the day the staff is not knowledgeable enough on the wedding tuxes to be able to provide the level of service, care and education to couples therefore they should not be in this business of renting wedding tuxes. Our best man ended up with a white tux coat and that is not what we had ordered. Long story short ...go to Men's Warehouse. PS- We had a 7 groomsmen and a best man so my husband got his tux for free. read more

I was in this store today to return a few things I received as a gift but did not have a receipt. The manager was so rude and obnoxious. I got some bs line that it was outside their 90 day limit and ended up giving me $5 for each shirt even though the lowest price was $20. That's the last time I will step foot in one of these stores.
