To make matters worse, I noticed that people with fair skin mysteriously had shorter wait times than people with darker skin. A few days ago, I went here for a follow up treatment (a small filling). I'm not sure if it was because I complained or if it was merely a coincidence, but I only waited 15 minutes (as opposed to an hour and 45 minutes the first time I came here). My dentist and I were the same age (32). In fact, most, if not all of the dentists at this clinic are just out of dental school. Younger dentists generally lack the acumen of more seasoned dentists. Fortunately, my dentist was an exception to the rule. He did an excellent job. In addition, I enjoyed being able to relate to him. I still prefer a private dentist over a clinic, but beggars can't be choosers. I recommend this clinic if you're short on cash and need a decent cleaning.

I realized most doctors were probably 'D" student and slipped through then they send them to the Black neighbors to keep us sicker or kill us. Well I have a story to tell you and to make some statements. I live in NYCHA were they are killing us one by one due to the Mold and the Asbestos. So I go to the doctor asked for a head scan because I am blacking out, can not get up, nauseated, throwing up, migraines, and dizzy, watery eyes, yes I had it all. So I asked this supposed Doctor Grace Waverka for a head scan. Her excuse was I have to talk to my team, that was weeks ago, then I had to say a few words as well as report her than I received my referral to get my head X-rayed; low and behold yes they found evidence. I have so much pressure on my brain, the migraines but the mere fact that she did not want to give me this referral made me sicker. It took her 7 weeks I could have died she did not care and I told her this is why we do not trust you all so call Oath takers to provide services but you come in our communities because you can not work in yours. Just to get your commission on medication prescriptions. No good imposter in a white gown. I was too upset and told her so. HOW DARE YOU! Is why you have to do your own self care and follow up or five opinions. DANG SHAME in our communities doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but getting paid to write scripts literally. People advocate for yourselves make NYCHA, Doctors etc, accountable but trust me they are not getting away with anything. saith Yahweh. WHEW Dr. Sanon you are missed..How does she sleep at night. And could not tell me WHY so what did you go to school for got over, not on me..

Also, there is an Administrator of the Harlem office that I'd like to say Thanks to, Mr. Moses Salami . He helped me get my much anticipated "referral" processed so I could get home off my pained and swollen ankle. Per insurance, his office produced documentation for these false claims. As a result insurance took his side because it looked like a he said she said battle and he stiffed me with a $400 bill. Furthermore, insurance and my benefits department were virtually unable to reach his office to have the claims updated. His office refused to change the claims to reflect actual service for a referral. If you've been stiffed the same way, please write reviews and report him. I think backdating documentation prevented him from getting his license investigated for fraud.

Dr. Meed is far from arrogant. I'm shocked at the reviews I am reading here because he is anything but. He is, however, extremely confident, which is reassuring when a patient has exhausted almost all hope for a diagnosis. He has listened to my every single complaint, as major or minor as it may have been, and if he did not have an immediate answer, he was CONFIDENT that A) I would not be ignored and B) the problem will be found and resolved. He has always listened to me very carefully. This man cares in an industry where patients are increasingly treated like cattle. This doctor is not a GP, he is a specialist in Rheumatology, and has helped countless patients with Lyme disease, Fibro and lots of other specialty diseases. I've sent friends and coworkers to see him too and everyone is more than pleased with the service received from Dr. Meed. I also find the women at the front desk to be lovely. They are always very busy, but have always been kind to me.

This is a couple months overdue, but want to share since finding a good primary care physician can…read morebe challenging. Unfortunately, this is not a review to say that you have found one. I went to this office when I was having some GI symptoms back in November. To begin, I knew that they needed to perform a basic lab test and when I needed to provide the sample during the 45 minute wait, they brushed it off. Then when they took my vitals, I asked what they were, and the MA refused to tell me, only saying that "the doctor would tell me," which only added to my stress. Upon meeting with the NP, she was not inclined to discuss my symptoms or potential causes, instead kept snapping at me b/c I was anxious. She interrupted my visit to have me talk to a social worker b/c I was anxious(which, after having symptoms for over two weeks is pretty normal) who basically accused me of seeking out antianxiety meds. I'm a nurse-all I wanted to do was be informed about my medical condition(including my vitals) I never asked for anxiety meds! Their behavior was making me more anxious! In any case, I followed through with an outpatient ultrasound and awaited my lab results. When the labs returned that I had an infection in my stomach on a weekend, I waited for them to call me on Monday to inform me and prescribed antibiotics. I gave them until 12 and proceeded to call them multiple times. When I finally reached Dr Myers, she snapped at me that she hadn't seen me, and that I needed an endoscopy. I asked her if she was going to be prescribing antibiotics, since she could CLEARLY SEE that I had an infection, and that this what was needed. She refused and said, "I'm not giving you anything, you need to go to a gastroenterologist." I pointed out that not treating a medical condition that she had results for was malpractice, and she hung up on me. I did seek out medical care elsewhere, and was prescribed the medication that was required for that infection, which (surprise, surprise) resolved. However, even months later, this experience horrifies me. Dr. Myers violated the first rule of practicing physicians-"First, do No Harm." How could a physician refuse to treat an infection? My treatment was delayed by several days due to the office not notifying me of my results, and her not prescribing antibiotics. I ended up taking my labwork to CityMD, who had NO PROBLEM prescribing the medication that I needed BASED ON THE LAB RESULTS. My advice would be if you need a general checkup for work/school and this is the ONLY place that your insurance will cover...I would still go somewhere else. It's New York City-she's not the only option! If, God forbid, you actually have a medical issue that requires evaluation and treatment, RUN past this place and go to ANY OTHER doctor. Go to the ED if you have to. You have a better shot of getting treatment from your dog than you do from Dr. Myers and her team.

I was patient of Dr. Myers for years before she needed assistance with her overflow and transferred me to Dr. Sargeant. I have had increased medical activity recently and noticed that Dr. Sargeant over-looked quite a few red flags that needed to be brought to my attention. As a result, I have since moved on to a new practice and have been met with extremely unprofessionalism in trying to gain copies of my medical records. The front office staff of this practice is comprised of a bunch of unambitious women who's only goal at work is to leave once their shift is complete. They are unprofessional, rude and a few of them are actually smokers which I find odd, especially since they take cigarette breaks in front of the practice. If you are in need of having medical forms filled out or basic (BASIC) medical attention and don't mind having to visit an over crowded, unprofessional office, you will have no problem here. But if you are looking for a dr. who will actually pay attention to, not only what is on your chart, but to what you're actually saying when speaking to him, this isn't the place. So funny, the last time I was in Dr. Sargeant's office he had me sit for a minute while he continued reading CNN online. whatever

This office does not take covid safety seriously. At all…read more I only went here because he was automatically assigned as my PCP through Medicaid. For the record, I never actually ended up seeing Dr. Ponieman, I ended up with Dr. Torres for some reason. For my first appt I waited an hour to be seen in an overcrowded tiny waiting room, absolutely no room for social distancing. Some people waiting had masks under their noses. No effort from reception staff to enforce proper mask wearing. Both women working at reception had masks on their chins. Technically the front desk is in another room and you talk to them through a glass window, but still a terrible covid precaution for a health practice. When I finally saw the doctor I said I wanted a covid test in addition to what I was there for (physical and some rx refills) and he said okay. I get sent back to the waiting area to wait to be called in for blood work. After my blood work is finished I ask about the covid test and she tells me they don't do the tests there. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Last but not least, even though the prescriptions I needed were pretty basic things I've been on for years, I was required to come in for a follow up to review the blood work before he would fill them for me. The waiting room was empty this time, although the PA was talking with someone with the door open, both of them with masks pulled down. I don't recall if this happened the first time or not, but Dr. Torres was unable to keep his mask above his nose. As he spoke, it kept sliding down and he'd pull it back up. This happened at least six times in a ten minute time frame. This is a doctor, almost a year into a pandemic, and we still don't know how to wear masks that fit correctly??? Reception also left the enclosed area with mask on her chin to throw out her Dunkin' Donuts garbage in the patient waiting area. Highly doubt there's not a trash can under the front desk. Never returning to this office.
